- The Harbor House Life team (Edmund Jin and Kimi Werner) go on an epic freedive spearfishing journey to Southern California where they stay at Catalina Island to freedive spearfish for Yellowtail, Bluefin Tuna, and huge lobster. We are proud to present an eye opening experience of rare unseen footage shot by our professional team of filmmakers. The 2015 season offered a extraordinary change of warm weather and water known as “El Niño”. This climate shift brought an abundance of sea life that hasn’t happened in over 20 years. We are excited to share it with you.

+Russ B. Yes, it broke a wing as a baby and the folks at Two Harbors took it in and helped it recover. Now it is used to people and offers a great opportunity to see a bald Eagle up close.

Awesome I never spearfished in the ocean. But it looks fun that seal would have had that fish if it was me lol. Have u ever tryed the rivers in ca for striper. That's a lot of fun how do u hold your breath for so long

+cabosurfcaster Thanks, and major props to our editor Felipe Gonzalez! We are great full to have him on our team! Dan Silveira filmed most of the underwater footage with the canon 5d mk3 and the topside footage was filmed with sony fs700 and inspire drone.

Great video, I myself have only been spearfishing for a little over a year and I love going to Catalina, I try to go every saturday and I usually try to take videos with my go pro hero 3 but they have not come out as nice as your video . Your video has captured the sea life in catalina so perfect , I have only posted one video of my catalina Island trip and its not as well put together as your video.You have inspired me make a better video . but in order for me to do that I have to find the big fish :) If you want you can check out my video it's titled
