Happy to announce that this film has now been tested for wet application using the common PPF liquid solutions. Officially wet and/or dry application options!
I am about 90% sure I am going to wrap my truck in the gunmetal grey Colorfusion. I was leaning toward Avery Rugged wrap as it will hide a lot of flaws. But the lifespan Vvivid is talking is really good. And it will get scratched and pinstriped offroading. The self healing is a huge plus
That looks so sick - your patience is top notch. I'd love to put a PPF on my wife's truck myself but I'm going to have to pay for it...I'm not skilled or patient enough! :) Thanks for these videos.
Man that’s great! I won’t ever disassemble mine but it’s nice to know when I got PPF quotes it’s bonkers expensive. If I was to give you a comment of feedback, I would not wire brush test the film like you did on top of my C8 (or any car’s) actual painted surface no matter the product I’m testing. You have great content.
I'm patiently waiting for more material from Vivid. They are out of stock on just about every popular color. We're getting ready to do a 35' boat with it and need a 60 foot roll.
Maybe 10-15% But I keep lots of scraps for any repairs I may need to do or small parts that need rewrapping. Lot’s of waste with paint overspray too. Not sure how you’d avoid it.
@@DonslifeI would add it’s a byproduct of a rectangular product going onto infinitely mind boggling curves and corners on the C8. Remember in school we all sat there and went “When will I ever use this geometry?” Now. 😂
I recommend the strongest version you can find since the film is a lot thicker than your typical vinyl. We experimented with 3M finish line knife-less tape, but it left a few imperfections trying to cut through.

That’s what I like about your channel always bringing different products to the spotlight. Thanks!
I appreciate that!
It looks great, you have so much patience, I could never do that without freaking out.
Thank you. I just wish the color would show its full glory on camera

CKwraps on RUclips does a bunch of videos in the same color on his Jeep Gladiator. If you haven’t, I’d check it out too.

But that’s what made the test legit 😊
Favorite one so far!
So good 😊

It is very popular and seems to sell out almost as fast as they receive rolls.
Love the color!
Can 306 Motoring do this to my car in my garage?
Anything’s possible
Looks like Rapid Blue somewhat.
It looks great. Shame your original colour choice didn't look as good as you hoped though
Yeah, the problem was the sample didn’t look good in the shade.
Were you racing to get finished in time for show and shine lol
😂 many reasons
Hey there Don, it seams like there is always allot of waste? Do you feel that you throw allot of the product away?

The problem with PPF film is that there are way too many installers that are terrible.
do you think its possible to use knifeless tape with this?

@@Donslife 3M Precision Line cuts it very well.
