We have a 2017 Hymer Carado Axion Van which has 2 EcoTrek k2 200ah batteries mounted under the vehicle. Have you done any work on these before? We will need to replace them at sometime in the near future. It has an addditional AGM, Balmer controller and underhood generator.
We have not , but in many cases it's the first time we've worked on many vehicles. First time for everything, just take it slow, research and don't go where you can't back out of.... sounds a lot like RVing.
With the Xantrex inverter charger installed, if cold is an issue then they can keep it on shore power all night with an outdoor Xmas light timer set to off and on every hour, and that’ll keep the battery warmish while on shore power (oscillating between about 28 and 45 degrees).

Do you have any specs for the Epoch 24V version that is currently pre-sell on their website? Same size and weight as the 12V?
Yes it will likely have the new BMS which will not as finicky and be more inline with other lithium batteries.
Doesn't installing it unprotected and outside the vehicle make it very likely that it will have problems charging in even moderately cold weather?
It has built in heaters. Customer said it was still 50f after 2 hours driving in 10-20 degrees weather.
@@sotasolar That's good to know. Still, seems risky to me, but if it works, it works.
