They are part of us lost their way when Ghaznavi took them as part of his loot and later freed them.
Let’s consciously with open arms welcome them into our country and give them place and honour to live a life of dignity and respect they deserve.

The British colonized and enslaved india for 400 years and he walks around and blames turkish people , what a fucking idiotic rumor . Roma are in Europe since more than 1000 years , Turkey only exists since 1923 and the "Ottoman" Empire was founded in 1299 , and India was not Part of "Ottoman" Empire , so how does that make sense to anybody with a honest heart ?

As an Indian, I'll always love Roma. Don't fall for Western propaganda that Roma's were low castes or anything. They were average normal Indians who were forced to migrate either due to survival or economic situations. They just choose the wrong place to go. That too they were forced by the Turks and Mongols as slaves of war, a concept unknown to the refined and developed Ancient India.

There culture, language, food, climate conditions all are different now. It will be difficult for them to adjust in India. They will still feel outsiders here. Just something fun for you to check out. I was born and raised in US by my mother's family so unfortunately some of the treatment of women is still lacking. However at least my brother and I have broken the cycle. I'm 4.1% Pakistani/northern Indian according to 23 & me and 11.9 Western Asian/North African so your info about Romani, Turk slaves was very interesting and I hope someday India will allow us back to have a normal life and culture. That’s when Roma people get separated from India during the Islamic invasion of India .. more accurately Roma was part of the Rajput military as soldiers and servants they were ruling over Punjab to Rajasthan for over 500 years but when the ghaznavi’s came there they destroyed our military killed our king and mass murdered millions and also it was them who taken Roma people out of India 🇮🇳 as prisoners of war (slaves) back to Afghanistan 🇦🇫 ..

    Few suggestions :
    1. You can provide them with some online sources to get to know more about India, its culture, its current situation, and a lot more.
    2. You can visit the Indian embassy in the country and interview the staff there about Roma people. If they happen to not know much about Roma people, you can provide them with some resources to create awareness about these long-lost Indians. It may even attract the attention of the current Indian government.

I spent my first 18 years from birth in horse drawn wagon or vardo travelling. Speaking some amount of a European Roma dialect. I love that about myself. My father is much darker skinned than myself if which I've always been jealous as I got my mums whiter than white tone, lol. I was raised experiencing great prejudice against myself also, but didn't let it take away who I am. I also learned to accept others more and they will accept for who you are also.

Can’t thank you enough for showing solidarity and for offering us visibility. It’s rare that someone talks about us without stereotyping or saying racist things.
There are a lot of Roma who deny their identity and when i say a lot , i mean a LOT and it is heartbreaking. Our history about Chattel Slavery in what is now Romania is never acknowledged & it was the longest to ever be registered on planet earth. We’ve been denied our history, most Roma don’t even know the history of their own ancestors. All groups who have had a similar history to us have been dehumanized with the same stereotypes that have been used against us for centuries yet racism towards us is so painfully normalized that it’s shocking when someone actually sees us as more than just the sum up of all of those stereotypes. Sending lots of love to India 🇮🇳

I’m a Roma born in Hungary and my entire cast had to leave our language and our culture everything that we had because a Hungarian queen called Maria terezia order to cut our tongue out taken our children away hanging us from trees or nailed to trees by our ears and then burned for just saying 1 word in our Roma language for just practicing our culture or just dressing to our culture and laws this was in the 18th century and ever since then my entire cast called Romungro become strangers to our own customs language and everything that had to do with us ! .. and Many of us unknowingly runs away from the Roma language culture or anything has to do with Roma it’s because to this day they sacred because our groups were tortured the most in Hungary and the funny thing is majority of our groups were entertainers musicians that’s how we made our daily breads yet they did these satanic things to us ! And if any other groups of people it could’ve been an ethnic Hungarian helped just one Roma person or even a child he’s entire family were arrested killed front of the public ..

We built a little school and put a Roma teacher for them to learn basic education. We build a little church so they can worship as they enjoy. But in the end I understand that, they will only be happy as they are and I think would be bad if we try to force them to live differently.

So true .. when we lived in Hungary Eastern Europe in my family and not just in family the majority of us lived middle class and some wealthy life’s .. unfortunately they don’t want to show those .. so for many Europeans when they hear gypsy first thing that comes to their minds is somebody who’s sit on the streets begging for money or a dirty primitive thieves 😂 .. it get to the point in Hungary when a non gypsy stab somebody or steals something they say gypsy crime and they go and protest enough of gypsy crime 😂 .. yes we have those no question about it but the ones whose normal they say you are not a gypsy they told me that many times when I told them I’m a gypsy they told me your not because you don’t beg or steal or stab people ! So for them for many gypsy is somebody who begs steals not working living in conditions like in the 1 at century with out washrooms running water bathrooms don’t have nothing .. so yeah a gypsy only can be dirty primitive criminals .. and our normal human beings they say well he’s not gypsy 😂😢 .. so it’s an unfortunate situation.. it is what it is .. I would never ever change my race even if I could ❤ 🙏 ..

Everyone is suffering in Ukraine at the moment, regardless of their origin, but the situation was not better before the war. Because the previous Ukrainian government curtailed the rights of minorities, the victims of which were both Hungarian and Russian, but especially the Gypsy/Roma communities. Minority cultures and languages were banned, schools were closed, people were dismissed from their offices. One of the most extreme cases are stories of people being tied to trees and beaten to death. Roma or people of Roma origin were also doused with paint, stripped naked, tied to trees and left to freeze to death in the winter cold. I am writing this so that people in India know how some countries treat these people. It's something to be ashamed of. That's why I want people all over the world, including India, to learn about the real situation of Roma people, which doesn't seem romantic at all. And for those people who suffered serious and permanent physical or mental injuries or died during these atrocities, no amount of money can restore their health and life. I want people in India to know this too. Regardless of whether they wander in any of the deserts or live their daily lives in the cities.

So let me put my thoughts 😅😅😅:-
Indians and stereotypes are always together for Westerners.
See bro, even this Roma people are living there for ages but are not considered as an respected citizen of there country. They have to hide their identities, so sad.
It is so sad that they are not getting the basic needs as like the other common citizen of the country.
It doesn't matter that they forgot or don't agree that there ancestors were Indians but the thing which matter is there right and equality as an citizen whichever country they are living.
I will pray for them to Mahadev🙏🏻😔🙏🏻.

Hi, really they have a lot of financial benefits and the local authorities are trying to give them more power to change their lives but as I said to other people, they only enjoy this complete freedom and not rules. Sometimes I get jealous about that, but really this is how they choose to live and they are proud to live this way 😊

@DEVANAND BISHNOi this is not true , the point is , India was created by the British , it was never ever one Country , they put different people into this National Project , Mughals were always seperate and Hindus were people from the South , India is Huge there are so many different people , even in the tiniest European countries there are differences but you hindu zionists are telling me that there was a united Hindu India thousands of years ago , which is absurd , what we call India today is a social experiment , Ancient India we talk about has more to do with Sasanians and Mughals not Hindus , the People who spread this ancient hindu India and Vedas stuff know exactly what the truth is but they prefer the lie because it benefits them in financial terms . Trust me we never ever did anything to Roma , we didn't enslave them neither were there concentration camps , there were many famous Roma "Ottomans " they worked for this country and they were not seen as different people , this guy said himself they treated everybody equally but not the roma ? do you really believe this nonsense ? everybody was the same , There were East Asian , South Asian , Caucasian , Anatolian , European , African , middle Eastern Pashas and Sultans and Vesir . Everybody had the Chance to become Someone , Turkishness is a modern and sometimes misleading Term , It was about being a Muslim not being a Race , look at turkey today there are so many different ethnic groups , the only thing that keeps us togheter is Nationality and Religion not a pseudo tribal Race which existed thousands of years ago , we have many Politicians of Roma Heritage or Mixed , for example Ibrahim Kalin . Dont listen to modern day Nationalists they are all Freemasonic and they work for London , "Ottomans " never enslaved anyone , it was a kind of USA back in time .
