My ancestors are Roma and settled in the UK in the 1600s. Only a small group came to the UK. They intermarried with the local indigenous British. The crazy thing is I'm part of a Roma dna study project and I have distant cousins in the Balkans and Eastern Europe and I have about 5% Indian/Dravidian dna. I'm white and don't look dark at all. Some UK Roma have dark skin but not many.

India should recognise them as Indian diaspora and must use its influence in Europe to ensure their social justice. I would like to Ministry of External Affairs to hold World Roma Conference annually.
They can't because Romani people didn't get any recognition in any country. They are Nomadic people. Many western countries talked about democracy but they themselves are not giving them any recognition. Many famous people are Romani people but they don't reveal these things publicly from the fear of persecution and hatred. Christino Ronaldo, Pablo Picasso, Charlie Chaplin are some of the example of Romani people. Many biggest sport and entertainment personality are Romani people but they don't reveal themselves publicly. Atleast 40% of European Sports and entertainment personality are Romani people. Many European music and dance have very much influence of Roma people. Flamingo, Salsa are some of them.

In Britain, many Romany try to hide their ethnicity. Especially if they are light enough to "pass" as British. This is apparently what my paternal grandmother did. She moved to Canada, married a Scotsman, had 5 kids and didn't tell them anything. Those kids grew up, had their own kids, and I was really dark. It took a DNA test to find out I was Romany, and by that time the older generation was all gone. Still, I'm glad to have my answer!!

Few years ago, when the Roma (Gypsy) Taxi driver in Frankfurt to my amazement almost understood my conversation with my wife in the native tongue of Rajasthan, a north western state in India, I decided to work on this and find out how. Since the Taxi Driver understood the language of Rajasthan, I went through the history of Rajasthan or Rajputana as it was originally called and discovered that there was a huge exodus of the tired soldiers of the army of great Rajput King Prithviraj Chauhan around 1050 AD who ,as the history says, fought 17 wars with Mohammed Ghauri. Most left with women folks leaving empty villages. Most Roma belong to the fine Rajput warrior caste and others were farmers called Jat who also were in the army. While the great king was keen on continuing battles, many soldiers did not want to fight more wars and stayed at home. For a Rajput staying at home during war was a stigma. They were taunted for staying home at the time of war. Therefore, as a folk song of Rajasthan says, they left their native land in groups. They left from no other part of India. Some went west and are called Gypsies or Roma now and some went down to south India where they still are in their red and yellow color clothes and with huge mustache. You can see them on google by clicking "Lambada in south India". I am from Rajasthan but live in south Indian city of Hyderabad and hence see Lambadas daily. I was further shocked again when our Gypsy (Lambada) maid mostly understood an old Hungarian Roma lady talking in Romani about Nazi atrocities on a BBC program on TV while I understood it by reading the English captions. Apparently, the two ladies 9000 miles away now spoke same language spoken about 1000 years ago in their land of origin. We being from Rajasthan still use many of their words. On the way to west, Roma took words from Persian like bibi and many other tongues including Greek (drost for road) and from Armenian and so on. Also, few joined them on the way from Sindh, another Indian province, now in Pakistan. They are still called Sinti within Roma and words like laklo, lakli, chavo are from Sindhi. They somehow lost their surnames of fine Rajput warrior clans. Roma may try to find surnames like Sisodia, Chauhan ,Shekhawat, Nainavat Rathore, etc. However, I found only one exception in Poland. One Roma has Mirga as surname which he said was not Polish but Roma. Rajputs have a surname Mirdha. I am sure this must be same. But they kept first Indian names until 19th century like Amos Bihari and his daughter Panna Cinkova, both great Roma musicians from Hungary. Panna meaning Emerald is a pure Rajasthani name not used in other parts of India. You may look in Google for “Panna Cinka . If they were not Indians, why otherwise would they have Indian names in Europe in the year 1711? Today Roma use many of the words from Rajasthani (or Marwari) and Hindi, both of Sanskrit origin. Few are ek do trin nak(nose) bal(hair)angusth(finger) bersh(year) diwas(day) sassusussro ( mother and father in law, from rajasthani) saaloSali (brother and sister in law from Rajasthani) chora(boy) chori(girl) cior(chor, meaning thief)) gia sov, thalle, upralpurano (old ), dukh, kasht, tato, langhal(lame) maang, des, lajja and so on. About half are from Rajasthani and Hindi both of which originate from Sanskrit. I know hundreds. There are thousands. Luis Mori, another Roma has sent me a huge list of Romani words which I match with my Roma maid's vocabulary. Sometimes grammar has changed to European style, like we would say sov gia and Roma would say gia sov. Same meaning though. Has slept. Also, all Indian languages including today's Rajasthani has two yous, one for Junior and one for senior. Romani and the language of Lambada even today have only one you which is "tu "used for Juniors and for very close ones which must have been so 1000 years ago. Romani words are from pre-Muslim era in India and hence pure Sanskrit like hiv(him in Sanskrit) for snow or ice is used while we in India now say barf which is Persian. Please go to the following in to see more. “Romani an Indian lost Language by Adriano, an Italian Roma from whom I have learned much and also“Roma girl from Kosovo goes to India" All Roma had mustache which was necessary for Rajput warriors. Purity codes of Roma were till recently practiced in India like Roma breaking the plate if animal licked it. My mother used to give the plates to beggars if our dog ever licked it even once. Also, food once served on table but not eaten does not go back to Fridge or saved for eating later. That is why death rate within Roma during great European plague was so low as claimed by scholars. Roma had also carried our proverbs like "while choosing a daughter in law, believe your ears more than eyes” meaning reputation of the girl's family was more important than her beauty. Another common proverb is"If the road is crooked, you can't walk straight. Roma eventually lost their religion, quite understandably but Sara kali of southern France is a Hindu deity of Goddess kali favourite of Rajputs. The deity is immersed in water body every year like we do in India. The Vatican has not recognized this deity as it has no link to Christianity. Romani also has an unusual word"trishul" from Sanskrit and Hindi meaning a spear with three fingers. This spear is associated with Hindu God Mahadev or Shiva and the war cry of Rajputs Regiment in India till today is " Har har Mahadev. Please see on You tube "Dr. Ian Hancock: Keynote Address at Romani Studies Conference Dr. Hancock who is a Roma makes very scholastic analysis of Romani history from European side. He successfully dismantles myths like Roma are old Jews or from Egypt or came from within the earth. He establishes that Roma indeed came from India. However he has not said much about which part of India are they from and which language from India they speak. He only mentions "Indian Language" while there is nothing like Indian Language. We have hundreds of languages. India had hundreds of independent kingdoms. Rajputana, as Rajasthan was called then had many kingdoms too. Prithviraj Chauhan was the king of Ajmer in central Rajasthan from whose army Roma came. He also links Romani with Sanskrit while truth is that Romani has words from Rajasthani and Hindi alone both of which originate from Sanskrit. Romani is made of languages which have Sanskrit base and not directly from Sanskrit. There are many words in Romani which none else from India except those from Rajasthan will understand like tato meaning hot. He also says Roma are Doms who burn dead bodies which is certainly not true. Doms live about 1000 miles away from Rajasthan and are dark skinned. Many Roma have come to Delhi and Jaipur in Rajasthan to get their DNA tested and were doubly assured of their Rajasthan roots. Also, one may see Romani Dances in India-Kalbelia of Rajasthan which is same as Flamingo dance of the Roma. Even the dress of the dancers are same. As a student in the US during seventies, I saw some slightly brown students speaking language somewhat familiar to me. They said they were new Roma migrants to the US from Spain but I did not know about Roma at that time. I have received many mails from some Roma stating Roma were Doms and untouchables from India and so on. This should not be true. First, there are no Doms in Rajasthan. Second, Roma who came to south still have mostly Rajput surnames or Gotra and very few Bhil (a jungle tribe, but soldiers too) surnames. Gotras or lineages dont change in India. Third, down trodden and timid would not venture leaving home to travel thousands of miles and fourth, Doms are very dark even for Indian standards while Roma are not. Fifth, Romani has many war related words including a word for prisoner of war as Dr. Hancock says. Only a martial clan would use and keep alive these words. There should be no doubt that Roma are our lost pral and Pena (We would say pra and behna). Hats off to them to keep the language and culture alive even after 50 generations while humanity in the entire world now melts away in two generations. I am in contact with many European Roma from whom I gather some new facts time to time. I have also gathered the above information from history of Rajasthan.

We Indians have been displaced in so many different ways. My grandfather was taken as an indentured labourers to work in a British colony….and my father and I were both born there. My DNA is 100% Indian and I cherish my origins witn pride. We have managed to retain our culture and language even after 100 years of separation from the motherland.
Indians in UK isn't surprising at all. What people need to know is UK is also home to so many Pakistanis. They came there to help British forces and what we see today are the 2nd or 3rd gen of those paki families in the UK. Paki have been the top immigrants in the UK for years and I doubt any other country would be as tolerant on them.

What tradition? You as an Indian have no idea how Gypsies live in Europe, how they refuse to integrate, how they make a living by stealing and becoming criminals, not working and living off of welfare what they get for having 6 skids or more that they can't raise properly. They litter, they are loud they are always in gangs and they single out people when there's many of them but few of their victims. In my country they didn't integrate after 800 years, half of the prisons are full of them even if they are only a minority, Gypsy girls get pregnant in their early teens, they drop out of school, they have no qualification and refuse to learn or work. Come to Romania, Hungary, Slovakia to a Gypsy slum and see how they live, talk to the locals and ask them what they think about Gypsies, then you'll have a realistic picture about them and you can decide for yourself if you love them or respect them.

If possible please make an extensive, proper documentary covering all forms of atrocities that Roma are subject to.
Thanks so much bro. I will continue to make such documentaries and even longer pieces. I just need your support for it. Every person who watches it should share it with at least a 100 people. We have to spread the awareness. Thanks again for your encouragement ❤️
Thank you for your interesting and heartbreaking video , when I was a student in Paris in the seventies, I was studying anthropology and linguistics. I followed a crash course of Hindi meant to give a bases to researchers instead in the culture of the Indian subcontinent, the teacher introduced me to a Romani family, whom I became friends with. Visiting them frequently I learned about their culture, it took awhile before I was allowed to go into the kitchen , they have strict rules about pure and impure concerning basins and towels, there are different ones for each part of the body, the cooking equipment I didn’t touch,so they were not worried about, but if I had confused a basin meant for washing the face with one for washing the hands they were obliged to throw them away and buy new ones, same they never kept leftovers of food, it was given to the dogs of which they had a few and who are all descendants from the same stock by this family for generations. Apart the kitchen there was one big room where everyone slept on the floor on matts and quilts piled up in a corner during day time just like in eastern countries. The head of the family was Zimza an old lady, she also was the oldest of the Chalderash clan in Paris. The young children and a sister of Zimza haven’t gone to school and didn’t speak French. Since I could understand quite a bit of their language, knowing basic Hindi and fluently Kurdish and Persian ( I had specialised in comparative linguistics of Iranianic languages which have common origin with the indo-aryan language family) I could make myself understand for basic things using the grammatical structure of Hindi. In the École Nationale des Languages Orientales in Paris Romanes is taught in the department of Indian languages . When went to India 🇮🇳 later, went to Rajasthan which became my favourite part of India , I noticed that the women don’t wear Saries but several robes worn on the top of each other, same the traditional dress of Romani with a preference for red , deep yellow and bright green . Also the rythmes and vivid expression of Rajasthani folk music also has a lot in common with the original Romani music of Eastern Europe. There is a big difference of the music that Romani people play for themselves and the so-called gypsymusic that they in clubs for gadgé (non Roma) The classical Kathak dance must have developed from Rajasthani folk dances , same the flamenco in its rhythmical aspects is definitely based on Indian Tāl, the instrumental part of it being of moorish origin, but the vocal part is derived from ragas. The dance of Eastern European Roma is without instrumental accompaniment, only vocal syllables like in Kathak. The Roma are the most generous and reliable people if they feel that you open to them without any prejudice, they’re spontaneous and full of love. There is only one reality: Friend or Enemy . All the discrimination, hate and hardship that they have and still do experienced in Europe has left a great trauma on them, and yet they are full of vitality and life. The irony is that the Nazi Germans Killed Roma and Sinti for not being aryans is that the only Aryans in Europe are the Romani , whereas the Germans are not Aryans at all . They became confused in nineteenth century romanticism when they read translations of the Ramayana and the Shah-nameh and envied the heroic deeds of ancient warriors .
We spoke before. My family are Romungre and Sinti who came here from Hungary and Carpathian. Both groups are best known as musicians and performers. I'm second generation here in America. This family in the video you visited are obviously better off and have a nice home. The majority sadly don't have homes like this.... Not in Bulgaria nor most countries. Back in early 1970s I remember Indira Gandhi met with Macedonian Roma... famous singer Esma Redzepova visited and performed in India many times... So the connection with India was aware long ago even before that.... In the old stories passed down by many Romani

Vay in Dom language meaning wind for Vaayu. Osht in Dom language meaning lips or Ausht in Sanskrit. Chin in Dom language meaning to cut or divide which also means Chinnah in Sanskrit. Paani means water. Mr Ian Hancock is an authority in Roma or Dom language and their Culture. I’m happy to find your videos. I’m endlessly curious about the Roma. I’ve been working with the Kalbelia, Manganiar and Kamaad communities since 2012. The Kalbelia are not familiar with the Roma or that their families has migrated out of India. I was in shock when I visited Spain in January. My flamenco teacher Ivan Vargas looked exactly like Khatu Sapera. All Kalbelia I’ve shown his photo to think he looks Kalbelia. It’s such an interesting mystery. Can’t wait to watch the rest of your videos. I’ve been interested in this topic since 1999. It all started when I saw the film Latcho Drom.

I heard that they came from the Lohar, means iron smith caste. Gadia Lohar Wikipedia has some information. They are nomads in India and deal with metals, ironsmiths . In Europe they have done the same.
DOMARI caste people still exist in TELANGANA state......belongs to SCHEDULE CASTS (politically) i know because in my village this community used to work in my farm land....my dad said my great grand father (my caste)was like king to that caste,it was our duty to protect that community.... still some of them are working at our farm, most of them got educated and well settled.....still some of them come to us when ever they need help...... Such a pity the Roma language is dying out so rapidly. In the 1970s a professor of Panjab University Chandigarh, whose name I don't remember, did a lot of research on the Romani language and similarities with Punjabi and Hindi. He wrote a series of Hindi articles in some magazine, perhaps it was Kadambini (कादम्बिनी). I was too young but my mother was a regular reader and I also read a couple of the professor's articles. In one he had compiled a list of Romani and Hindi/Punjabi words which are remarkably similar.

Durban, South Africa! 💗
Few years ago, when the Roma (Gypsy) Taxi driver in Frankfurt to my amazement almost
understood my conversation with my wife in the native tongue of Rajasthan, a north western
state in India, I decided to work on this and find out how.
Since the Taxi Driver understood the language of Rajasthan, I went through the history of
Rajasthan or Rajputana as it was originally called and discovered that there was a huge exodus
of the tired soldiers of the army of great Rajput King Prithviraj Chauhan around 1050 AD who
,as the history says, fought 17 wars with Mohammed Ghauri. Most left with women folks
leaving empty villages. Most Roma belong to the fine Rajput warrior caste and others were
farmers called Jat who also were in the army.
While the great king was keen on continuing battles, many soldiers did not want to fight more
wars and stayed at home. For a Rajput staying at home during war was a stigma. They were
taunted for staying home at the time of war.
Therefore, as a folk song of Rajasthan says, they left their native land in groups. They left from
no other part of India. Some went west and are called Gypsies or Roma now and some went
down to south India where they still are in their red and yellow color clothes and with
huge mustache. You can see them on google by clicking "Lambada in south India". I am from
Rajasthan but live in south Indian city of Hyderabad and hence see Lambadas daily.
I was further shocked again when our Gypsy (Lambada) maid mostly understood an old
Hungarian Roma lady talking in Romani about Nazi atrocities on a BBC program on TV while I
understood it by reading the English captions. Apparently, the two ladies 9000 miles away
now spoke same language spoken about 1000 years ago in their land of origin. We being from
Rajasthan still use many of their words.
On the way to west, Roma took words from Persian like bibi and many other tongues including
Greek (drost for road) and from Armenian and so on. Also, few joined them on the way from
Sindh, another Indian province, now in Pakistan. They are still called Sinti within Roma and
words like laklo, lakli, chavo are from Sindhi.
They somehow lost their surnames of fine Rajput warrior clans. Roma may try to find surnames
like Sisodia, Chauhan ,Shekhawat, Nainavat Rathore, etc. However, I found only one exception in Poland. One Roma has Mirga as surname which he said was not Polish but Roma. Rajputs have a surname Mirdha. I am sure this must be same.
But they kept first Indian names until
19th century like Amos Bihari and his daughter Panna Cinkova, both great Roma musicians from
Hungary. Panna meaning Emerald is a pure Rajasthani name not used in other parts of India.
You may look in Google for “Panna Cinka . If they were not Indians, why otherwise would they
have Indian names in Europe in the year 1711?
Today Roma use many of the words from Rajasthani (or Marwari) and Hindi, both of Sanskrit
origin. Few are ek do trin nak(nose) bal(hair)angusth(finger) bersh(year) diwas(day)
sassusussro ( mother and father in law, from rajasthani) saaloSali (brother and sister in law
from Rajasthani) chora(boy) chori(girl) cior(chor, meaning thief)) gia sov, thalle, upralpurano
(old ), dukh, kasht, tato, langhal(lame) maang, des, lajja and so on. About half are from
Rajasthani and Hindi both of which originate from Sanskrit. I know hundreds. There are
thousands. Luis Mori, another Roma has sent me a huge list of Romani words which I match
with my Roma maid's vocabulary. Sometimes grammar has changed to European style, like we
would say sov gia and Roma would say gia sov. Same meaning though. Has slept.
Also, all Indian languages including today's Rajasthani has two yous, one for Junior and one for
senior. Romani and the language of Lambada even today have only one you which is "tu "used
for Juniors and for very close ones which must have been so 1000 years ago.
Romani words are from pre-Muslim era in India and hence pure Sanskrit like hiv(him in
Sanskrit) for snow or ice is used while we in India now say barf which is Persian. Please go to
the following in to see more. “Romani an Indian lost
Language by Adriano, an Italian Roma from whom I have learned
much and also“Roma girl from Kosovo goes to India"
All Roma had mustache which was necessary for Rajput warriors. Purity codes of Roma were
till recently practiced in India like Roma breaking the plate if animal licked it. My mother used
to give the plates to beggars if our dog ever licked it even once. Also, food once served on table
but not eaten does not go back to Fridge or saved for eating later. That is why death rate within
Roma during great European plague was so low as claimed by scholars.
Roma had also carried our proverbs like "while choosing a daughter in law, believe your ears
more than eyes” meaning reputation of the girl's family was more important than her beauty.
Another common proverb is"If the road is crooked, you can't walk straight.
Roma eventually lost their religion, quite understandably but Sara kali of southern France is a
Hindu deity of Goddess kali favourite of Rajputs. The deity is immersed in water body every
year like we do in India. The Vatican has not recognized this deity as it has no link to
Christianity. Romani also has an unusual word"trishul" from Sanskrit and Hindi meaning a spear
with three fingers. This spear is associated with Hindu God Mahadev or Shiva and the war cry of
Rajputs Regiment in India till today is " Har har Mahadev.
Please see on You tube "Dr. Ian Hancock: Keynote Address at Romani Studies Conference Dr. Hancock who is a Roma makes very scholastic
analysis of Romani history from European side. He successfully dismantles myths like Roma are
old Jews or from Egypt or came from within the earth. He establishes that Roma indeed came
from India. However he has not said much about which part of India are they from and which
language from India they speak. He only mentions "Indian Language" while there is nothing like
Indian Language. We have hundreds of languages. India had hundreds of independent
kingdoms. Rajputana, as Rajasthan was called then had many kingdoms too. Prithviraj Chauhan
was the king of Ajmer in central Rajasthan from whose army Roma came.
He also links Romani with Sanskrit while truth is that Romani has words from Rajasthani and
Hindi alone both of which originate from Sanskrit. Romani is made of languages which have
Sanskrit base and not directly from Sanskrit. There are many words in Romani which none else from
India except those from Rajasthan will understand like tato meaning hot. He also says Roma are
Doms who burn dead bodies which is certainly not true. Doms live about 1000 miles away from
Rajasthan and are dark skinned.
Many Roma have come to Delhi and Jaipur in Rajasthan to get their DNA tested and were
doubly assured of their Rajasthan roots.
Also, one may see Romani Dances in India-Kalbelia of Rajasthan which is same as Flamingo dance of the Roma. Even the dress of the
dancers are same.
As a student in the US during seventies, I saw some slightly brown students speaking language
somewhat familiar to me. They said they were new Roma migrants to the US from Spain but I
did not know about Roma at that time.
I have received many mails from some Roma stating Roma were Doms and untouchables from
India and so on. This should not be true. First, there are no Doms in Rajasthan. Second, Roma
who came to south still have mostly Rajput surnames or Gotra and very few Bhil (a jungle
tribe, but soldiers too) surnames. Gotras or lineages dont change in India. Third, down trodden
and timid would not venture leaving home to travel thousands of miles and fourth, Doms are
very dark even for Indian standards while Roma are not. Fifth, Romani has many war related
words including a word for prisoner of war as Dr. Hancock says. Only a martial clan would use
and keep alive these words.
There should be no doubt that Roma are our lost pral and Pena (We would say pra and behna).
Hats off to them to keep the language and culture alive even after 50 generations while
humanity in the entire world now melts away in two generations.
I am in contact with many European Roma from whom I gather some new facts time to time. I
have also gathered the above information from history of Rajasthan.

I am known as the Gypsy in my family and I tell my children we have an ancestor awakened thru me using their inherited gifts to help and heal my ppl, I am Indeginous Maori, Scots and Irish....I asked my mother how did we end up with Romani blood, she told me they came over the mountains from India.... It made sense coz I would have past life flashbacks and see my son in this time riding an elephant in another time. I do not look like my native family nor do I look like my white family however I could go to this place and blend in easily with the locals 😂... I cried at the end wen you said "no matter wea you are in the world we love you"... Thankyou ❤️

@@abhinavinsearchofthelost I've never spotted/known any Romani in the US. I didn't know I had Romani ancestry until a distant relative who has a DNA business opened this door to me this year. I did DNA tests initially about eight years ago to find more relatives and answer questions about the family. I used various companies to compare results. As I said I have about 2.5% Romani DNA, my dad (who passed away years ago) is about 5%. I got him tested while he was still alive. On my mom's side we have Jenisch/Yenish ancestry.

When
went to India 🇮🇳 later, went to Rajasthan which became my favourite part of India , I noticed that the women don’t wear Saries but several robes worn on the top of each other, same the traditional dress of Romani with a preference for red , deep yellow and bright green .
Though I'm very mad at how they were and still discriminated in Europe 😡😔 hopefully they'll get the justice and love they deserve, i know i love Romani people from now on :) 💓 also Romani people called themselves 'people of ram(ji)' hence the name Romani 🥰
Thanks for your sweet comment, Shruti! Please do share with friends around you. Bless you!
@@abhinavinsearchofthelost yes i will. Thank you for the great video

Lots of love ❤️ Romani brother and sister. 🙏
I have read in wikipedia that they carry a genetics which only found in south asia.
So its true they are from indian subcontinent(specially from Rajasthan and sindh).
Tamils...yes!
Govt of India should do some kind of outreach.. Sponsor research into their history, issue grants to writers, give scholarships to students etc.
They are pravasi bharatiya too. Like the girimitiya in carribeans, or South african indians.
100%
We need to raise awareness. Please share this video with your friends!

I'm from Tacoma Washington I wish you could get in touch with me I'd like to enlighten you more about the gypsies hope to hear from you
Hi there! I would love to learn more. Please write to me on insta @abhinavrevis :)
Hi I live in seattle. I was born in andalusia, espana. Gypsy I always wanted to learn more about my heritage.
I want to be enlightened by you. Can I?
Such a pity the Roma language is dying out so rapidly. In the 1970s a professor of Panjab University Chandigarh, whose name I don't remember, did a lot of research on the Romani language and similarities with Punjabi and Hindi. He wrote a series of Hindi articles in some magazine, perhaps it was Kadambini (कादम्बिनी). I was too young but my mother was a regular reader and I also read a couple of the professor's articles. In one he had compiled a list of Romani and Hindi/Punjabi words which are remarkably similar.
Oh wow really? Please let me know @abhinavrevis if you ever come across those articles again. Thanks :)
@@abhinavinsearchofthelost The Kadambini magazines were badly printed on newsprint paper and maybe a publication of the Hindustan Times group. I googled a bit and I think the person we're looking for is Weer Rajendra Rishi. Something about him is in the link below:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weer_Rajendra_Rishi
That university is not more than 15 kms away from my home. I'm from Chandigarh. I'll try to search about it tomorrow.
@@abhinavinsearchofthelost I'll try searching it tomorrow. If I find success, I'll write to you. Per chance, I'm from Chandigarh as well.
@@ranjittyagi9354 According to the info in Wikipedia the gentleman Mr Weer Rajendra Rishi passed away in 2001. I was wrong about him being a PU prof. But he did have some dealings with Punjabi University Patiala and had set up his own institute for Romani studies. I doubt it is functioning any more. But he left a bulk of scholarly works and must be lying somewhere with someone.
Indian people and Indian Govt. Must help Every people like them. 🙏
Love and support to our Brothers and Sisters.
Absolutely! Please keep sharing so it reaches the right people!
With the rise of India 🇮🇳, people with their Roots connected to Bharat 🇮🇳 will also rise ❤. Roma people, Yezi people, converted Muslims etc, we will rise together. Stay strong ❤

I'm pretty sure one of my relatives was Romani because I had Indian, Iran, North African in my tree that was almost unexplainable
Oh wow! Interesting 🧐
An important fact : During the holocaust conducted by Hitler, along with the Jews, millions of Romanis were wiped out as well. Unfortunately, this fact is not spoken about.
We will definitely make a video about it!
@@abhinavinsearchofthelost I can definitely help you out with this topic, as I’m a 100% Rom from Poland.
