I thought I remembered you! I watched some of the 'Life as a Corp Director' series before! The Orca is my favorite ship and I liked you 'alternative Orca' fit since it seems somewhat similar to mine. The first fit seems a bit a overly blingy and low ehp for solo mining but thats just me :P

@@waddenderas7774 sorry it took me so long to reply to this! lol this is my solo HS Orca fit below [Orca, Solo Orca] Damage Control II Reinforced Bulkheads II 500MN Y-T8 Compact Microwarpdrive Multispectrum Shield Hardener II Gist X-Type Thermal Shield Hardener Gist X-Type Kinetic Shield Hardener Multispectrum Shield Hardener II Shield Command Burst I Shield Command Burst I Improved Cloaking Device II Salvager I Large Drone Mining Augmentor II Large Drone Mining Augmentor II Large Drone Mining Augmentor I Mining Drone II x5 Shield Extension Charge x300 Shield Harmonizing Charge x300 Empty high slots for personal choice but all you really need are 2 shield bursts and the cloak. Based on my research the last few month, almost 100% of HS Orca ganks are done in catalysts doing therm/kin damage. So I decided to put more into those resistances though CODE have been using Coerers on barges and exhumers recently but not Orcas yet so I am not worried about EM resistance yet. MWD for 10 sec align time and the cloak is nice to have when you need it for whatever reason. But I mainly have it in case you see CODE in local late and they are already in warp to you. So you align, cloak, overheat your mid-rack, activate your MWD hot, and if you have max agility skills you should be able to uncloak with 2-3 seconds on the MWD cycle and you will be in warp when its done. If the cloak does fail, which it likely will if they show up on grid and decloak you, at least you bought some time for your shield hardeners to finish a cycle and start overheating. Pop your shield bursts for more ehp (I only have the T1 versions for now) and pray that you can tank it enough for Concord to show up. lol Also getting an Abyssal Damage Control II is a good investment. You can get some good ones for under 40m, just make sure it has increased therm/kin resistance. Even if it has negative in EM or Explosive, its fine since thats not the damage being applied by catalysts. You can increase your ehp by 3-8% depending on how good the Abyssal DCU stats are. Sorry for the rant but I love the Orca and playing with its fits!
I'm pretty new to eve and made the porpoise build, turns out lol the skirmish command burst will assault other players in proximity and give you a assault charge so you can't jump through gates. oopsy
Welcome to EVE! I'm afraid the fits in this video are now out of date, CCP have made huge changes to the functions of the industrial command ships since I recorded this. I will be trying to produce a new one soon though. But yeah, to your comment, if you're running the command bursts you will have an aggression timer of something like 60 seconds where you can't jump gates!
I've not checked the efficiencies since the update where they brought in the Industrial module for Orcas. As I understand it, solo mining in an orca with the fits in this video would be no more efficient then solo mining with a porpoise now. I forget the name of it but I think you need to add the Industrial... something.. in a high slot to make solo orca mining worthwhile
add a 3 % cpu implant and it shud be doable whit 2 t2 mineing output upgrades.. tho i would prefe to have 3 t2 upgrades compaired to survivabialty in HS.

Pity you didn't write the orca fits too or Hulks, that would have been very useful. Going back thru video is a right pain! Good video
