    It's been a good couple of years for Adidas gym shoes designed for tackling cross-training, HIIT, and weightlifting.
    For example, the Dropset Trainer 2 has been stellar for lifting and cross-training, the Rapidmove has been awesome for HIIT (and budget shoppers), and the Adidas Adipower 3 is a strong pick for squats and weightlifting.
    I feel like Adidas is finally hitting a good stride with their training shoe line up. Below are some of my favorite Adidas shoes for working out.
    0:00 Adidas Shoes Intro
    0:11 Adidas Dropset Trainer 2 (Lifting/CT)
    2:14 Adidas Rapidmove (HIIT/Budget)
    4:23 Adidas Everyset (Lifting/Budget)
    6:39 Adidas Total (Flat Option for Lifting)
    9:09 Adidas Powerlift V (Weightlifting/Budget)
    11:03 Adidas Adipower 3 (Weightlifting)
    13:19 Final Remarks
    If you're an avid Adidas fan, hopefully, this video sheds some light on which models will work best for various contexts.
    With so many options on the market, it can get easier to narrow down which is "best" if you cross-reference your normal week of training.

    I could tell how much you’ve been loving Dropset 2 so I just got myself a pair! Compared to Metcon 9 they provide not only stability but also more flexibility. Can’t wait to bring them to the gym. Thanks again for another great recommendation Jake😄 P.S I personally wouldn’t recommend Dropset 2 to anyone with wide feet though as the mid part of the shoes seem a bit tight on my narrow feet.

      Happy you’ve enjoyed them.
      I language the arch/midfoot isn’t the best flat for flatter arches/wide midfeet in my longer reviews :)

      The Total or Dropset Trainer 2.
      Go Total if you like flat shoes, go Dropset if you want a little drop. Thank you!

    Which do you think is the best for the following use case: standing/walking mostly with some occasional jogs (4-5x/week, 1-3 miles/session) with some lifting (squats/deadlifts/compound moves). Someone with a wider foot and like Altras for their wide toe box and 0 heel to toe drop

    It would be fun to see a 2024 non gym shoe “Top 10”. You did the Vans Ultra Range a while back, along with the Nike blazer and such.
    I’ve been rocking the Adidas Swift Run 1.0 for lifts and some light cardio work, they’re pretty decent with nice flat and stable sole for lifts. The knit upper and bootie style construction keeps my feet locked in pretty well. A little spill over on certain aggressive lateral movements, but that’s to be expected.
    I’ve found there are a few skate shoes or “Casual” Athletic shoes out there that do pretty damn well in the gym for every day gym goers.

      I love that idea!
      That's a shoe vertical I should spend more time in. I'm such a creature of habit that I'm often rocking my training shoes each day based on what I'm testing. NGL, I need more hours in the day and better joints so I can train more, LOL.
      Maybe I'll make it a goal to get this in the works for the summer! Appreciate the suggestion, brother

    Would you recommend the dropset 2 or Rapidmove adv trainer M ,
    People in the adidas store recommend to buy the new version (rapidmove) , as the dropset 2 are discontinued in here(India) and their support are very limited ?
    What would you say ? Pricing isn’t much.

      Dropset if you need em for lifting. Wayyyyy more stability and support in them that the Rapidmove, imo.

    02:56 What's the difference between the Rapidmove and Rapidmove ADV? I see you have the Rapidmove in the video, but the graphic insert shows the ADV. Do you feel like this shoe would be a good option for Les Mills-style classes like Body Combat/Pump? Or should I go for something like the Nano X4? Thanks!

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  Месяц назад +1

      Ah, my editors must have missed that.
      ADV has a tweaked upper/bootie-style construction but they’re pretty much identical with fit & feel and performance. Not worth the extra price, imo.
      Such be solid for that context!

    • @benster5
      @benster5 Месяц назад

      I was also wondering the same thing. I take Bodycombat and Bodypump and the Rapidmove sounds like a good shoe to transition from one class to the next.

    • @thatfitfriend

      @@benster5 should be solid in em!

    • @avidra35
      @avidra35 Месяц назад

      If you have the budget, I would go for the Nanos. I’ve wear them all my life (till today) to teach Les Mills classes, including their dance offerings too 😂😂😂
      They are comfy to wear all day, durable AF and stable for all the jump knees/evasive side kicks you gotta do 🤣
      But looking at the prices, I eventually bought the Rapidmove at half the price. I would say it’s the better version of Reebok HIIT’s or Flexagons.
      But since I do lifting too, I’m more biased towards Nano. But there’s also Dropset 2, which I haven’t tested out yet 💸💸

    When he says if you have a wider foot these are good, I can't tell if he's saying, "just get the reg width because they're wide enough?"

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  9 дней назад +1

      If you have wide feet and they have a wide option, go wide always - that should be the default for ya, imo.

      @@thatfitfriend I was thinking of getting The Everyset. I've worn Brooks for a few years, 10.5 Wide. Because I'm trying to look at shoes that aren't running shoes, different brands fit differently. I'll have to go somewhere in person and compare 10 to 10.5 because I don't think there's a wide for Everyset

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  9 дней назад

      There isn’t, most adidas training shoes don’t offer wide options, sadly.
      New balance min tr v2 has a 2E (size up a half size) and born primitive savage 1 size wider
