- Went on a solo mission meat run to fill up the cooler for the weekend fish fry at my hunt camp !
Also, bonus footage of picking up my mounted velvet buck from a hunt back in August.

Great video. We South Carolinians call a weakfish a winter trout. I only live about 25 miles from Ehrhardt. Some awesome deer hunting here.

Ian you know how to live sir! We don’t get weakfish down here in S. FL, but we get the speckled trout, or sea trout in S. FL. They’re a lot of fun catching them in the Intracoastal. Don’t think we got yellow mouths down here either. Great video, wish I had a friend/ neighbor/ family with as much fishing knowledge as you man🍻

Definitely being at camp is my favorite! You might try buying one of those fema trailer's if you can find one. Those thing's can be bought cheap and they're fairly big inside, compared to a camper.

That's a beautiful mount man unfortunately where I live in South Carolina we don't have a chance to shoot a buck in velvet our bow season comes in September 15th and rifle October 11th but have always hoped to get lucky enough to get one in bow season but no luck yet

I have a quick question I see you have a 14ft boat and I am guessing 20 something boat. We are moving to the Horseshoe beach (Steinhatchee) area. what is a good overall size boat for the area. Fishing and shell fishing. I normally have a bass boat for freshwater fishing.
If you want a boat that can do a little of everything in the area I’d say a 20-24’ bay boat. That way you can fish the flats and creeks once you learn the shallow areas and go out for grouper on the good days.

Brining fish overnight is an excellent way to firm fish up. Almost nobody mentions it in their videos.
Also putting fish in ice slushy water is how I keep my fish. There are endless videos on RUclips about bleeding your fish or stabbing it in the gill or hitting over the head, etc.
I prefer to kill my fish like Leonardo DiCaprio in the Titanic.

When I was a kid we used to get a few thousand pounds a week fish a day sometimes get 60 cents sometimes up to $2 gillnetting in Jersey and they were big girls
