- FAT CATS on the Jug lines! (Catch and Cook). We had a great day playing on the Intracoastal Waterway in Gibson, LA. No luck on the crabs, but we did pretty good catching some catfish on the jug lines. #datlouisianalife #catfish #catchandcook #dji

Nice catfish! I ran trotlines on my off week in Bayou Laforche right behind our house. I forgot about Shoe pick, we call em Grendles. Y'all call Sackalay what we call specs or Crappie and I've heard cajuns call bass Green Trout. Tara seems so sweet your a lucky guy.
I think we have different names for every kind of fish🤣. Tara definitely knows how to have a good time. Thank you! 🎣
Man ! That's some nice looking catfish ! Supper looked good the way y'all did it. Like to see you make some catfish kubian (court-buillion) with rice sometime. I ain't never found a good recipe for that.
We love to cook and try different things but we definitely ain't no chefs. Most of the time we do pretty good though! Thank you! 🎣
I hope you know how truly blessed you are. Beautiful family and living in a beautiful place that you can do things like that. Your wife truly enjoys spending time with you doing things that you obviously love to do. I can’t wait to be able to drag my boat to your neck of the woods and do some fishing with folks like you. I live in Arizona in the middle of the state and it’s a minimum 3 hour drive to any good body of water. Don’t get me wrong, I live a wonderful life too but I’m ready to travel and see the way other folks live. Thank you for sharing your lifestyle and home with people like me far away. Love your videos.
Being out there doing all those things we do is so much more enjoyable when my family is with me. The good thing is the love just as much as me if not more. We are blessed to have this amazing playground so close to home. Really appreciate your positive feedback! 🎣

I had a Pelican get blown onto the Scallop Boat we were steaming back to Texas.
We just came out of a massive storm. I opened the back door and there he was!
I didn't have much to feed him so I gave him Fudge stripe cookies to get his energy back🤭.
It was funny feeding him!

We hit a cove one time and racked up on some big cats like those. It still ranks up there as one of my top 10 best days of my life 😊 I made a deal with my oldest brother that he could have half of em if he cleaned em for me

When I was a kid, kids ate what their parents put on the supper table or they didn't eat. My dad told my mom what he wanted for supper and that is what we ate.

Hello from Newfoundland Canada. Love your videos. Where I live We have limited types of fresh water fish that we can catch during our summer season and in winter fishing through the ice. Crawdad boils, Crabin, Jug fishing, Froggin and even Nutra Rat hunting, what a fun lifestyle you people have. Enjoy the new Houseboat for many years to come.

Hello everybody WOW nice catch Y'all that's getting it done. Now Y'all can get his eat on. Not a bad size bass he was eating size. Looks like your buddy isn't so friendly. Back in the day we would water ski on Alligator Alley and the Gators would never bother you now I hate to stick my hands in the water because of the tourist feeding them. Last time I was out there my brother in law ran from the back of the boat to the front because one tried to get in the boat. I told him it was because of his after shave lol. Love watching Y'all cook with all the good things I use to be able to eat getting old sucks well that and being stupid when I was younger.. Drake is the smart one showing up when everything is ready that way he doesn't have to wait on it. lol Y'all take care stay safe.
One thing about Louisiana, we don't have a shortage of gators. I honestly think they are over populated in a lot of areas around us. Really appreciate all your feedback! Take care my friend! 🐊

The sky looks gloomy upon Gibson today, which we anticipate it will be gloomy as well for a whole week in southern California. Speaking of Gibson i used to live there for a for months back in the late 80's. Caught a few choupiques along hwy. 90. I say about...13.92 lbs.
It was very overcast most of the day but it was still a great day. We will take you back over here in Louisiana! 🤣

2:20 up here in Alaska we use barge systems in the summer tho we freight fuel, vehicles, and food and beer on barge lines that travel up and down the Tanana and Yukon rivers 24 hours a day for 4 months

I was picking on my buddy Dave because he always likes to know the exact ingredients when we cook. I think that's the first time we measured everything 🤣. That dude are about 2 pounds of chicken 🤣. We had fun feeding him! The crabs didn't want it.🐔
Even when da chupick get mushy, they make delicious cakes. 1 egg 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup cornmeal and trinity with lotsa butter. Mix it all up and spoon them out into your oiled skillet then kinda mash them down with a fork. Delicious. Season with tonys

We call bowfin the dogfish here in illinois. We have big ones up here in the Mississippi River
