Great commentary. I took the point of the story the same way you did and was surprised by the takes I saw online. I didn't love it, but I thought it was very decent, especially the casts' performances.
I'm almost embarrassed at how much I loved this movie. It's basically Nightcrawler for war photography. A withering critique of sensationalism and the people who live for it, but it renders its scenes so beautifully that you feel exactly why these photographers would be so possessed to get their shots.
My favorite part is when Spiderman showed up at the airport
Watched this a week ago, what stood out to me was how death was portrayed in the movie, it felt a lot more real compared to other movies.

Great review! A lot of reviewers indeed missed the point of the film. It was refreshing to hear an alternate take that wasn't totally negative.
