Unexpected Calcite Crystal Find! Fossil Hunting For Sand Dollars & Exploring Caves In Florida!

  • Well, that was unexpected! My friend Brian and I set out to hunt for fossilized Echinoids (sea urchins and sand dollars), and I ended up finding one of the best pieces of Calcite I have ever found in my life! Along with that we got tons of beautiful 40 million year old Echinoids and even saved a crab from some fishing line along the way!

another great video. Thank you for helping the wild life and for cleaning up other people's messes. If every person helped pick up some junk on their outings, the world would be so much nicer for all of us. We can't stop people from throwing stuff away on the ground and water and just leaving things behind, but we can do our part to help. So, thanks from the bottom of my heart. Every bit helps. Our natural resources support OUR lives.....without it, we die too. Keep being you. It IS noticed and appreciated.

    - Discover cure for Corona so I CAN go to the U.S
    - Make the friend text Wild Kyle

Love echinoids. Next time I bake some biscuits I'm going to have to see if I can make them look like echinoids. Also, at 3:40, I *swear* it looked like there was a sharktooth in the water just beyond where you were rinsing a 'noid off. Could have been something else, but it looked very sharktoothish. Loved the cute little fiddler crabs! And I can promise you from personal experience that being up close and personal to a waterspout is NOT FUN FOR YOUR HINDBRAIN. It doesn't like it. Back to the echinoids... I wonder how they look under a black light? AND THE CALCITE! Under a black light that should look wild! As for the cleanup, the contrast is good-- they look like tiny fossilized brains. And as always, thanks hugely for cleaning up the trash! Wish there wasn't any to clean up. And for rescuing that blue crab! Be careful, though-- I've found a wasp nest a couple of times in discarded cans, and spiders too.
BTW, as a fellow reptile owner, I am totally with the idea of an Ashley's Reptile Land video. Hello from my cornsnakes Erika and Oxi, my kingsnake Dienbacher, my two desert tortoises Spring and Summer and my three bearded dragons Buddy, Gator and Maize!

Being an old fisherman , I have to say they are the biggest slobs when it comes to leaving dangerous trash behind like spider wire etc that can kill almost anything by strangulation and it pisses me off.

Wow, WOW, WOW, FRIENDS. A great video. Echinoids are beautiful. I know a place where there are these fossils, maybe I will have the opportunity to go someday and have the opportunity to share with you. Calcite is not said to be beautiful, what do you clean it with?
