Unexpected Calcite Crystal Find! Fossil Hunting For Sand Dollars & Exploring Caves In Florida!

- Well, that was unexpected! My friend Brian and I set out to hunt for fossilized Echinoids (sea urchins and sand dollars), and I ended up finding one of the best pieces of Calcite I have ever found in my life! Along with that we got tons of beautiful 40 million year old Echinoids and even saved a crab from some fishing line along the way!

Alternate title: Florida man tangles with crabs and fingers echinoid butts
I am seriously tempted to change the title to that 😂😂😂
Funny !!
At least you have a sense of humor ! That's why I like your show and that your serious when you need to be !
🤣🤣🤣
I love your channel!!! Thank you for making videos !!!
Thank you for watching ❤️
Echinoids and Calcite, what could be better? The exhinoids are beautiful, and that is a great piece of Calcite, Kyle! Thank you guys for clearing the line off that crab!😊💖 I'd watch a video of Ashley's critters!💖
Thanks for watching Cynthia! I am happy we were there at the right time to save the crab. He would have been stuck there 😟 might have to add Ashley's reptiles to one of my videos soon!
That Calcite crystal is just WOW!!!
Thank you for cleaning up and saving mr crab!
I am in love with the Calcite! Glad we were there at the right time to save the crab!
Thank you for stepping up and taking care of our environment!
Gotta do our part!
Thanks for saving the little crab, and for cleaning up. 🌌
We've gotta do our part!
Thanks for pushing the word on taking care of the environment.
Trying my best my friend!
another great video. Thank you for helping the wild life and for cleaning up other people's messes. If every person helped pick up some junk on their outings, the world would be so much nicer for all of us. We can't stop people from throwing stuff away on the ground and water and just leaving things behind, but we can do our part to help. So, thanks from the bottom of my heart. Every bit helps. Our natural resources support OUR lives.....without it, we die too. Keep being you. It IS noticed and appreciated.
Great finds!
So kind to help that blue crab!!
Thank you so much for litter pick up and crab rescue. Very fine humans!
OMG that calcite piece‼️😱 please say hello to the frog🐸
💜💙💚💛🧡❤
So after a few years of teaching elementary school, I think the kids rubbed off on me. I find myself giggling almost every time I hear the words, booty, butt and 💩. I found myself giggling a lot during this video. Glad to have you back! Now to get your partner in mischief (Chris) back. I hope Ashley is doing well also.
Hahahaa I am happy to have made you laugh! Cris will have some videos soon! He's out of town and will be back in a few days. Then we will be making tons of videos together!!
I would wait 40 000 000 years to watch your videos. 💜🙌🏻
I don't have that much patience! next, please! ;-)
What a score with the amazing calcite find! Florida rewarded you for picking up all that ugly trash. Keep it up, Kyle! ♥️
It’s always a good day when Kyle gets excited and that accent comes out. I love it!! Enjoy your week my friend!! 🐚🐚🐚
Your best find so far was the crab, keep your eco warrior awesomeness, I hope others will follow your lead!
Thank you Donna! It's so important for us to help take care of the world around us. Humans are far too good at destroying it rather than helping it.
Dude that is so cool that you take time to clean up other peoples/ animals garbage not to many good people like you left out there thanks dude God bless you
Gotta leave it better than when we found it!
:O ancient sand dollars! so glad i found your channel you guys are living the dream. i'd be out there for hours
Another awesome video: great fossils, great place for photograps...
Yes please I'd love to see Ashley's lil zoo☺️
Ashley's frog? Suuuuure. That was totally Duckman in the background, quackin'.
Fun day! That calcite -- WOW! Thanks for taking us along on the adventure!
Watching you help the little crab dude out made me so happy! Another awesome video. Also yes I believe that’s a red mangrove. But don’t quote me lol.
Glad you enjoyed it Sarah! I felt so bad for the little guy, but I'm happy we were there at the right time to save him!
Leopard gecko ftw!
Thanks Kyle and Ashley 🙋
Thank YOU! 😊
wow what a chunk of calcite, never seen one that big x
Those things are gorgeous to think that those were sea Urchins at one time
Very cool video!! The trees you were searching in are mangroves! I saw white mangroves and possibly red mangroves. The white mangrove leaves have a divot at end of leaf and nodules at base of the leaf. Red mangroves have large prop roots (often referred as trees with legs).
Wow! Beautiful crystals and fossils. Glad you are putting out some videos! Yay!!
The "Kyle"Cyte is. Pretty cool!
Hahahahaa I love that!
Awesome video and great finds!! That calcite is beautiful!! Happy fossil hunting and be safe with the up comin storm.
Thank you Joshua! The calcite had me sooooo excited haha! Looks like the storm will be staying to the east luckily!
@@WILDKYLE I never knew that Florida was so rich with fossils until I found ur channel. I've been a subscriber for a good while and ur the reason why me and my family want to move to Florida. We live in southeast Louisiana where there is nothing but swamps and mud. Lots of mud.
Super happy my videos could inspire you man! I'm sure you would love Florida if you wanna find fossils!
@@WILDKYLE ur videos are greatness and my wife and I agreed that when she beats this cancer thing, we're movin and what better place. Beaches, sun and fossils. A great trio. Thank u sir!!
You should have called Jerry the Crab "Mr. Krabs" 😊
Love your channel and I messaged you on Facebook 😊
Hay Kyle another great video i would love to see the reptiles 😁😁👍
Yes please to seeing more of Ashley's animals (and plants). I've had my leopard gecko for 28 years now. Maybe Ashley should call hers Calcifer.
These calcite are insane!! Thanks soo much for the video!!
Thanks for watching Felipe! 🙂
Wait till this hurricane comes thru! End of next week will be fun!!!
Such wonderful echis!! Thank ya'll for saving that crab! Please do a video of her reptiles!
I LOVE echinoid sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much and I LOVE your vids soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much to love da calcite
Very cool calcite! I wish I could post a picture of this rock I have I think it matches that lizard, not sure but I think it is a sandstone with wavy orange and light and dark purples and some white. Great content Kyle
Great video man. I always complain about finding trash around the water, you have inspired me to always take a bag with me to remove as much as I can from now on. Also the hair is looking strong.
Awesome man I'm happy you make sure to clean up too! It's super important for sure. Thanks about the hair too haha! I'm not sure if I should grow it longer or stop now?! Haha
@@WILDKYLE let it grow!
Y'all did very well, that calcite cluster is awesome!✌
A reptile video would be cool🐸🦎🦕
I'm gonna have to show them in a video one of these days!
Great show today. As a FL man you should know this time of year means rain and/or hell hot.
So jealous!! You have to tell me about where yall are!!!! Love the sea biscuits! So big!!!!
It looks like Yankeetown in Florida to me. I've found quite a few out there.
Haha... Just started watching your videos, thanks to RUclips recommending, and didn’t realize that your gf was into reptiles... I’m a hobbyist Reptile breeder which is part of the reason I want to move to Florida... In any case, great video and LOVE the calcite!!! ❤️
Thanks for checking out the channel Jeff! I'm planning to show all of Ashley's reptiles in a video soon!
WILDKYLE That will be fun! Glad to be a part of your adventures! 😊🤙🏼
Yes totally let’s see the reptiles
In fact you and Ashley should do more outings together you always find good stuff when she is around
This is a vote to see Ashley's lizards! but great video! :D
I'm gonna have to show them for sure!
@@WILDKYLE Score!!
It is fun looking for fossils and I like that calsite specimen.
* gets pen and paper*
* starts plan*
- Watch Wild Kyle: Check
- Befriend one of his friends
- Rob a bank to afford to go to the U.S
- Discover cure for Corona so I CAN go to the U.S
- Make the friend text Wild Kyle
- Go fossil hunting
- Make sure no one discovers plan, as it's actually very creepy and a bit abusive. And the bank robbery is probably illegal.
- snuggle fossils
This is the best comment I have ever gotten 😂😂😂
snuggle fossils 🤗
You got to dream, might as well go big!
Also I want to steal your plan! lol
@@catrinenataliesmith6835 lol, we can work on it together! Should get us there quicker, after all right? ;)
Nice
Love it! And yes I want to see her reptilessss!!! What a pretty gecko!!
Bob-ladon from Canada would love those echinoids! Y'all found some really great specimens. 😊
That large calcite piece is amazing, I'm surprised it wasn't broken into bits by the dredging. And yes, please, I'd really like to see a video of Ashley's reptiles. :-)
Cool😀👍
Good to see another adventure Kyle.
I love your video’s
Kyle..” Look at that perfect Butthole”
Me.. dies laughing because I genuinely can’t hear that word with out falling into fits of laughter.
I swear butthole is the funniest word in the universe!
Nice Save in the crab & Clean up! I love the ocean so thank you! Good Job❤️❤️
Hahahahaha I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling like that's such a funny word! 😂
I love it all!! Great finds :)
Enjoy all of it ... sure is a cute lizard.
Nice Job Kyle keep up the good work.!!
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video bro! Love that Florida calcite!
I wanna go in the cave!!!
Great video, always very interesting!
I really appreciate you cleaning rubbish off our beautiful planet Thankyou for that :)
They are both great I think the calcite crystals win out also I would love to see the reptiles. Great video!
Good man to clean up the mess of others ! I do the same where ever I go ! Thank you .
Awesome video Kyle. Yes please for a reptile video!
I lost it when you said "Look at that, de perfect butthole" 🤣 Well when you've got a lot of blown out and busted buttholes then the perfect ones look so nice 😂 Also I loved that you guys saved that little grumpy crab!
* Oh yes please I'd love to see Ashley's reptiles, I love reptiles especially frogs! 🐸
I would love to see Ashley’s reptiles please make a video
Ashley's frog 😁
He gets so loud hahaha! He likes to croak when I play guitar too which is sweet. Maybe he likes it?!
@@WILDKYLE I think animals love music. It's interspecies .. 💙
I like how you didn't even think about giving that dude a piece of that calcite coral thing you found lol
I prefer the calcite better myself in fact I love it I wish I could visit a place to find my own
Great Channel I'm a greenhorn at this and am currently in N Cen Ga and am finding some calcite that appear to be teeth and armor plating and in large numbers in a hole just a few feet in dia . I'm finding bone and calcite that look like Dino's I'll take some pics and show you Bro ! Thanks ! Love your show ! Old school fla boy from Merritt Island
That calcite is enormous for me anyways I’ve never seen anything that large of a stone being a rockhound beginner that’s huge and beautiful can’t wait for you to clean it up
You gotta check out my newer video where I found an even bigger piece! It's a few videos before my most recent video.
It's a serious toss-up between Ashley's lizards, echinoids and calcite crystals. I'd suggest videos about all 3, one after the other, then repeat. ;-)
I like this plan!!!
Awesome job mate if you and chris ever make it over here I would love to take you out to our fossil and gem fields 💙🐠🤿🇦🇺dan 👍🦀
Kyle, I have seen the thumbnail of this video for days now. All I can think when seeing it is Deep Fried Chicken Thighs!
I mean, calcite does look delicious. 😂
Your stellar beam is my favorite of your calcites..that's a cool cluster tho...
Oh yeah! That piece is awesome. Got it up on my shelf!
@@WILDKYLE it's very special ☺️
Kyle! I was literally just thinking about you! (Not in a creepy way I promise 😅) I was about to go on your channel and watch all the videos I've missed just to see this! There's more! 🎉 I have truly missed your infectious enthusiasm ❤️
I'm trying to get back on a regular schedule with posting videos! It's been hard lately to get motivated with all the stresses going on in the world, but making videos for y'all is good for my mental health, so I need to keep it up!!!
@@WILDKYLE Darling there is no need to be worried about a regular schedule. Every video is great. If people want more they can just go watch your old videos again! I do that and it's great! And not to get all sappy on you but uh bitches be loving wildkyle. and I'm very much bitches. 😉 I hope that next to everything that's going on, all other things in your life are good. I wish you all the best 🥰
It's strange reading thru the comments that no one else loves your respect for the land you make money from.
Awesome! Your eBay store is lonely, it neeeeeeeeds Echinoids!!
If you do merch you should try to use the fossils as stampers 🙌 idk how you'd do it but it look pretty dang cool.
Love echinoids. Next time I bake some biscuits I'm going to have to see if I can make them look like echinoids. Also, at 3:40, I *swear* it looked like there was a sharktooth in the water just beyond where you were rinsing a 'noid off. Could have been something else, but it looked very sharktoothish. Loved the cute little fiddler crabs! And I can promise you from personal experience that being up close and personal to a waterspout is NOT FUN FOR YOUR HINDBRAIN. It doesn't like it. Back to the echinoids... I wonder how they look under a black light? AND THE CALCITE! Under a black light that should look wild! As for the cleanup, the contrast is good-- they look like tiny fossilized brains. And as always, thanks hugely for cleaning up the trash! Wish there wasn't any to clean up. And for rescuing that blue crab! Be careful, though-- I've found a wasp nest a couple of times in discarded cans, and spiders too.
BTW, as a fellow reptile owner, I am totally with the idea of an Ashley's Reptile Land video. Hello from my cornsnakes Erika and Oxi, my kingsnake Dienbacher, my two desert tortoises Spring and Summer and my three bearded dragons Buddy, Gator and Maize!
that publix bag rules
I have sooooo many! Hahaha
Being an old fisherman , I have to say they are the biggest slobs when it comes to leaving dangerous trash behind like spider wire etc that can kill almost anything by strangulation and it pisses me off.
yay Ashley's reptile vid, ive kept snakes for over 25 years - what does she have?
I wanna see the reptiles!!
That must be really fun and cool oh and wild Kyle I have an idea for you do you know how Paleo Chris makes Paleo packs and sells fossils you should make your own fossil packs called wild packs just an idea if you want to
Wow, WOW, WOW, FRIENDS. A great video. Echinoids are beautiful. I know a place where there are these fossils, maybe I will have the opportunity to go someday and have the opportunity to share with you. Calcite is not said to be beautiful, what do you clean it with?
Thank you glad you enjoyed it! I usually get the stain off with citric acid and some scrubbing!
@@WILDKYLE
Thank you my friend. God bless you wherever you go.
That's a cool location what part of the state are you on the Gulf no doubt down near Charlotte harbor south of Sarasota ! I used to live in Cortez the fishing village near bradenton.fished and craned outta there for a couple o yrs .
Yes, reptile vid.
They look like little turtle shells 🐢
They really kinda do!
I have picked up alot of Echiniods from my work. And some other really cool fossils that I'm not sure what they are .
Oh those tree are mangroves
Please do a video of ashleys reptiles!
I think I shall!!!
Hey Kyle I think It would be a good idea to do a tutorial on how to make a screen! The videos currently up are old and only have about 4k veiws
Also would you mind possibly teaming up in a month or two?
Have you ever thought about livestreaming your adventures?
Definitely! Might do something like that one day.
@@WILDKYLE Aw sweet! That'd be super cool to watch as someone who can't get out & adventure much
you should mack a video on here reptials
Those are some nice finds as always. Do you offer private tours? We are in FL in September and would love to do some fossil hunting.
Yes, they do private tours. They have a seperate FB page.
@@lorihanlon2525 I did find that page back in February. Sent a message then but never heard back. I figured the page was inactive.
My granddaughter is really into reptiles. She has 2 tortoises that roam around the house
