Megalodon Shark Tooth Hunting In The Aftermath Of Hurricane Isaias! Fossils On Florida Dirt Roads!

- It's always nice to throw in two of my favorite things on a video. In this case, really wild weather, and fossil hunting! Hurricane Isaias went up the Florida Coast as a Tropical Storm and dumped some rain on some of the spots where I hunt for fossil shark teeth and shells on the dirt roads! So I went out to the coast to get some shots of the storm coming in, and then the next day hit the roads to see what washed out! I ended up finding some incredible fossil shark teeth!

Hey friends! Since the filming of this video the storm got even stronger and hit a lot of folks hard up in the Carolinas and the Northeast. I was goofing around and having fun in this video, but these storms are no joke. Let's keep these folks in our thoughts and send them some love. ❤️
Love your vids
My wife and I would love 2 take you to some of our favorite spots around Lithia Florida. We're huge fans of your Channel
I have a friend in Connecticut and that state got slammed! It is no joke foresure. She said they have no power for another week. I live in tornado alley and just 3 hours from Joplin mo. They had one of the biggest tornados on record back in 2010nish...or was it 2013 anyway...bad. prayers
WILDKYLE yeah,, I'm one of those in the Carolinas,,, the center came in 50 miles to my south west, actually. But my area came out of the storm pretty good. The Ocean Isle area wasn't quite as fortunate, but could have been worse. But watching your video,, and those of your friends,, I'm going hunting tomorrow on a farm near the coast, that I got permission to walk. I'm told there is shark teeth, and Indian artifacts on the property. Wish me luck!
Reindeer Moss, which is a lichen.
Wuau very good finds friend, very beautiful everything. Excellent video.
Thanks so much!!!
Had to come back and rewatch/comment on this one duuuuude😁 that tooth at 11:35 is proudly sitting on my shelf; so stoked to have that one brother!😄 your amazing generosity is extremely appreciated my friend! Looking forward to more adventures this fall man!.......or perhaps this summer😶
maaaaajor earth sign energy🤩 amazing video, amazing channel!
Incredible roadside finds
Duckman morphed right in front of us. It was a scary sight! Lol! Enjoyed it as usual. Cool shark teeth.
LOL! You're more of a nut than I was at your age!
Great video man, thank you.
we always called the moss you found "reindeer moss" when i was a kid - it's a lichen, grew all over western panhandle.
My emotions...that giant Mako is literally the coolest thing I’ve seen you find so far.
It is definitely a really awesome find! 🤟
That man is the leader of the swamp children and he’s doing a different fossil ritual
I loved your fossil summoning dance! Summon those fossils! 😄💜
🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍
The face rubbing has been satisfied. Hahaha carry on! Thanks for the upload kyle!
Keep up the good work, watching every episode here with joy in the Netherlands. Because of you i started again with my hobby, collecting minerals and fossils. Can't wait for the next video!!!

That is an incredible find bruh!
Thank you!
You are such a goofball! But you are funny and sweet and entertaining as all get out😂
Kyle -let me show you my ritual!
Hank Hill- "That boy's not right."
That has to be by far the weirdest but but most awesome fossil finding intro. "The fossil ritual" lol. Weirder than the one with the creepy baby head a couple of vids back.
This was one of my favorite videos! Loved the intense weather feature in this one!
Loved the wave and foam video. So glad no one drove by during the ritual dance! Glad to see Duckman is alive and well also. Beautiful finds!
Hahahahaa I kinda wish someone would have drove by then 😂
WILDKYLE those white coats don’t look so comfy!
I was literally laughing by myself in my house watching your video today omg I haven’t laughed that hard in months
Thank you for this
Awesome finds!
I hope everyone affected by the storm stays safe! Stay safe Wild Kyle!
Wow that Mako was epic - need it with a ruler next to it - its HUGE and in cm for those of us across the pond TA
Congratulations on your meg find.. that is awesome...would be so fun to look on some of these roads
You are nuts and so is that Mako! Nice to have you back Kyle😁🦆
Loved that great white and the mako! Do you think the dirt roads in the panhandle would have the same type of fossils? We don’t really have fossils up here, but if they truck that road fill material around the state...
Always love to see a Wild Kyle video in my You Tube notifications. Your enthusiasm and love of history reminds me I’m not the only Wild one on the planet. Stay safe out there! 🦈🦈🐋🦖🐚🐚🐚
Haha the Ritual scene killed me 😅
It must be done 😂
@@WILDKYLE Haha maybe I need a Bottle Ritual!
I sorry I am late but I am here i joined the video cool finding thank you for reply to me! I appreciate it can't wait for next video!
A fantastic job at catching the storm. Some stupendous fossils too! Great job!
Thanks a ton Brian! It was super fun. Both seeing some of the storm and fossil hunting!
That Mako is freaking huge!
Seeing the beach gave me some calm, I miss it so badly! Mind you, I have way better beaches cause Australia. XD
But that is about it going for us, those fossils are amazing and I love how you add your flare into the video with Duckman and gorilla!
I want to come visit Australia one of these days! Glad you enjoy Duck Man and the Gorilla 😂
That mako is incredible!
Nice video kyle, stay safe ❤️
Love the wave footage 🤘
Thank you man!
@@WILDKYLE of course! That dark cloud too...dannng!
I'm kind of like you except I am younger I'm 12 years old but I love watching storms and stuff and I love fossils and rock hunding and I love making music
That mako is so nice!!
I am in love with it 😊
I think BOB was a glow worm or railroad worm - same thing two names. They bioluminescent Male and Female. So cool - love looking up stuff lol
Whaaaat that is awesome!
@@WILDKYLE I know - well u know in future
Definitely a Florida glow worm. The Elusive Glowworm - Florida Pest Control

Always fun watching your adventures but really enjoyed this one with the storm footage thanks for bringing me along 💙🐠🤿🇦🇺dan
That storm and sunset shot was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! :) Love storms, but we don't really have such crazy ones over here in Europe :)
Glad you enjoyed it! It was too beautiful not to share in the video!
WILDKYLE Definitely I was watching the progress of storm even though I’m European cause of my US mates 😅 would love to go hunting for Megalodon teeth 💪🏻 We only have small shark teeth over here 😓 But we have beautiful Urchins and Ammonites though 😊
I am jealous of those urchins and ammonites! I am gonna make my way over there one of these days!
WILDKYLE Haha anytime buddy just let me know! Me and my fossil hunting buddy wanna go over to US as well 😂 If you ever make it to Europe, we’ll take you around 💪🏻
Good job Kyle👍👍
Thank you!!
WILDKYLE, I have been watching you for about 3 years this month. I was just wondering if you can send me even just a little fossil tooth?🥺
P.S that winter smith bottle you have is beautiful
Nice to come back from france with a shit ton of fossils (68 kilo's to be exact) to prep and seeing a wild Kyle video 👍
Those are nice shark teeth you found and shells!
Thank you!!
wow some lovely finds,i am still in lockdown in the uk ,4 months now and probably another 2 as 2 big operations being done,x
My dad just got some property in Suwannee County.. I found an arrowhead & some flint yesterday - my first time visiting. I wonder if we'll have any luck with teeth on the dirt roads!? This is so interesting.
Great to back looking for fossils again, great video keep it up !
Thanks for watching David!
You silly but i love you and your adventures
That moss is lichen. Caribou love it.
WildKyle>Weather Channel
That spongy stuff is Deer Moss! I used to look for places where it was really carpeting the floor of the woods back home and my Aunt Peggy'd pay me for a large bag-- she used it in terrariums she sold locally. I never gathered it where there was only a little-- I was told that the deer eat it, and they have to eat too. Think there's something related that grows up north called 'Reindeer Moss' that's supposed to be edible to humans, but I don't know about this stuff. When it's wet, it's totally spongy and can be used as a makeshift bandage if you're bleeding; when it's dry, it's crumbly. No clue about the bug, but MAN that Mako tooth was beautiful! I would've kissed it too.
Warning: when the waves start 'shelving' the sand like it was doing (piling it up and washing it out in uneven chunks within the tideline), it is TIME TO GO. Because it's also doing that *under* the sand, and you can die right where you stand-- it creates the same thing as a sinkhole, just in an extremely short time. The beach can collapse under you, mire you knee-deep in heavy wet sand, and you can be knocked over and drowned right there. Five minutes earlier, you're fine; five minutes later, you're a corpse. We lost a huge pier on PCB a few hurricanes back that'd been built in my grandfather's time when the sand started shelving; better that than a life, though.
You should come to Oklahoma in the spring. We have those dark evil looking storms that will pop up from the afternoon heating. That was a beautiful sunset.
sunset was awesome - dangerous Kyle glad you didnt stay around for high tide - sweet fossils the great white was epic
The storm actually ended up staying pretty well offshore for the most part here. Sadly not the same for folks in the Carolinas and the Northeast when it strengthened :(
@@WILDKYLE the storm surge would have made high tide HIGH - Waves looked angry - hopefully they had enough warning
Bahahaha 🤣🤣heat index of 5,000. You are very correct on that! You have taught me about a lot of names on the shells, I have an olive shell in my plant by my bed. Going sharks tooth and shell hunting in the morning, thank you for the awesome video’s!
Ahhh that's awesome Lorraine! I hope you find some great stuff tomorrow, good luck! Thanks for watching the vids 😊
Holy crap I can’t get over how big that mako is that’s a real cool find also I really love your videos keep it up 👍
Thank you Ian! Yeah that Mako is huuuuuge! Probably the nicest mako I have ever found!
Got a good laugh from your ritual 😂
I believe that moss is called deer moss it's sometimes used in model sets
Deer moss.
Lichen
Technically yes. Reindeer lichen is real name. Deer moss just sounds more southern.
8:53 At first glance I thought for sure that was an old nasty used rubber.
Always love your videos. How do you display your finds? Would love to see a video on that. I will have to go see what is on your page in case i missed it lol
Thank you! I showed some of my displayed collection in this video: ruclips.net/video/aMj3jic8qeI/видео.html
@@WILDKYLE amazing collection thank you for the link who know there was fossil poop .. loved hearing where you found all of it the pride is so evident in your voice. Now i am off to see your other channel.
Duckman always steals your fossils
That Mako must have been a monster
When you kissed the fossil-mobile, I roared "NOooooooooo you didn't!.."
I missed the Duck Man! Wanted somebody to drive by and see him but it didn't happen 😂
The sunset and the storm looked INSANE!
Bob was cute!
And that tooth is just WOW! And weirdly what you did with it is exactly what I do with chestnuts when I find them and take them home bcs they are AHHH, so brown and shiny and!😱... Sorry.👉👈
🦈
It’s Deer Moss!
What??? You never used deer moss as field toilet paper???😳 That Mako is a beauty! Love the Junonia (sp?), meg, Calcite, and other shells, too! I need to go dirt roading with you!😄💖
Nooooo I never have but now I know haha! I'll give a try next time I gotta go in the woods 😂
That would be awesome on a necklace! Oh im so jelly! I live in missouri for christs sake! Missery!!😭
Wow! Sweet finds!!! I love the little baby shark tooth in the matrix!! Do you know what kind of shark it’s from?? Enjoy all your teeth!!! 😁
I enjoy your videos very much. I do have a question though what happened to paleo Chris.?
He went outta town for a bit but he's back now!
that patch of stuff was lichen (liken)
Where about was you we are coming down to Daytona in a few weeks and was wanting to take our kids to find some shark teeth. They love sharks
The "twisty curly shell" is called a Sally's Auger,, and the moss is called reindeer moss
The stuff you found at 10:36 in the video, that stuff is a lichen called old man's beard
Man,didn’t know about the ritual. That must be why my daughter and I only found one the other day 😂 also, fun fact,we used to surf Hurricane waves only when I was a teen.Florida barely has any good waves but when the storms come in the best waves show up. Do not recommend! Lol.
You gotta get yourself a gorilla mask and do the ritual 😂😂😂 that sounds wild! I have always wanted to learn to surf, but I grew up in Georgia away from the coast so I learned to skateboard instead haha.
WILDKYLE my daughter would probably enjoy doing that with a monkey mask, she said she loves your shells! We usually only find olive shells but that’s ok,those are her favorites lol. I’m a Floridian born and raised,I think water sports are a requirement out of the womb 😂
The storm hit me in MA and I was so scared because of the wind but than all of a sudden two trees fell in my yard!
That's wild! Hope nothing was damaged and you all were safe!
@@WILDKYLE nothing was damaged but our Neighbors house has a small tree on it
stay safe
That is a little peoples... LICHEN.... forest you found....virtually 3600 species found found in North America.
Isn't that "Play Linda beach" the nude beach?...LOL!
Yes I don't know why the water is regular. It's usually an aqua color. That explains the evil cloud I knew he was in Titusville I hate this place
@wildkyle love the video. As fellow Floridians (St Augustine) who want to give this a try, how do you recommend finding places to hunt?
Thank you! If you haven't hunted fossils yet I would suggest going to more well known areas like the Peace River to get the hang of things. Hit up Mark Renz, a tour guide down there who is a great friend of mine and a really great person. That'll give you the idea of what you want to look for.
If going on your own right away, look for creeks and rivers with gravel! If you want to try dirt roadin' then look for roads with Shelly material and black pebbles. They use that type of fill dirt sporadically across the state! Other roads with limestone fill will have echinoids too!
Hey have you checked out the live storm chasers Jeff pitrowski on periscope the guy is wild the guy gets dangerously close
How much money would you take to give up just one of those locations?!?!? I'm partly serious as I have always been k to fossils and lived in Florida my whole life and never found anything like you guys do. You out in the hard work and get the rewards! I did some digging in north Florida. Around Middleburg but always found small tiny teeth. Are you around Gainesville? Or Polk county? Dude. Maybe I could pay for a day out with you guys to hunt some.
Is that 1 7/8 inch Mako tooth from an 18-20 ft shark???? They caught a 19 footer off Turkey in 1950's.
How do you know what roads to drive down? Keep the videos coming.
Endless hours of driving around and finding nothing on 20 roads then finally finding a road with stuff on it 😂
You got some beautiful video of the storm and ocean! Great finds too! Are you still selling fossils?
Thank you! I will hopefully be putting more fossils on my store soon. It's been hard to keep up with lately 😭
@@WILDKYLE That's understandable!
Cladonia rangiferina, also known as reindeer lichen, grey reindeer lichen, or reindeer moss, is a light-colored, fruticose species of lichen, belonging to the family Cladoniaceae. It grows in both hot and cold climates in well-drained, open environments
Kyle! At 10:43 in the video? DEER MOSS. I am surprised that you didn't know that.
How long was the mako?
Wow that is the biggest mako I've ever seen that shark must have been gigantic glad it's gone LOL anyways I love you videos when you go fossil hunting it's a so much fun anyways please please please take care stay safe and God bless can't wait to see the next I like it when you in Chris go together
its called deer moss but it is a lichen. it can be used as toilet paper in a pinch lol
Woahhhhh never thought of that hahaha!
👍👍
Denture cement! To put teeth back together...🤭🤭🤭 yes, I wear dentures wild man!
The moss it dear antler moss
Hi
I am going to buy you a long screw driver for those road walks when I get there in November.
The funny thing is I have 5 of them at home but never remember to bring them 😂
@@WILDKYLE Put 2 of them in your car and never take them out except when fossil hunting
The weird fungus is lichen
Did the storm knock the deer moss out of the trees?
It grows on the ground
That Mako and the megalodon teeth are so sexy wow. And those waves, ugh 😍 enjoyed the vid as always
Bahaaaaaa yes they are super sexy 😂
Suuuuper sexy ;)
Tell me how I knew you was rubbing That mako on your face . Yours makes Mark’s Mako the other day look tiny lol
All mako's deserve to be rubbed on your face regardless of the size! Hahahaha 😂
