- No joke y'all, this is like a dream come true for me! We ended up finding associated horse fossils in a creek FULL of incredible fossil seashells. This horse must have lived on the coast around 2 million years ago when these shells were deposited and its remains were mixed in with the shells. Not only that, but we found some amazing shark teeth as well!

We found a horse! .... Of course! 😂 Thanks for watching y'all! Don't forget to go leave #wildkyle on one of Jeff's videos to win those two awesome shells! He will call the winner on April 1st! His channel: ruclips.net/channel/UCGLydj5ERZnUKTm_8KEvE-Q
April fools day! Jeff decides to keep his shells. "But thank for helping to build my channel" lol!
I'll do it when the baby sleeps. He's been bungie jumping for a while.
✌❤😃🙏
Very cool find! I'm curious if you have to obtain permission to excavate a creek like that? I ask because I once got in trouble with Sacramento county in California for digging up the creek behind my house.
@@maryoneill5070 I actually like this idea. Thanks Mary.
@@SandMarcusJ I do come up with great ideas when I'm tired. LOL You just reminded me to check out your channel. ✌❤😃🙏
Aren't you afraid of alligators in some of these places you are hunting?
It is like nature’s IKEA down there...assemble your own horse!!!!!😄🐴
Hahahahaha yes 😂
Made me laugh out loud 😁
😂😂😂
😆😆😆 Best comment yet!!!
Ya
I forgot to tell you about something my Mom and I used to do. We took old fishing poles and stripped them to nothing but pole.
We would use them by stick them carefully into the ground and listen for a soft "tink" which was glass. We found lots of good stuff like that.
I just wanted to share :)
can't wait to see you build the horse
I hope we can get more of it and do that!
I have to say it is no bones about it you are just horsing around in the creek some fantastic finds Kyle absolutely fantastic I know I’m just trying to be funny love you kid hang in there keep finding the good stuff
This vid made me lose my mind!!! I was dorking out hard!!!! Pretty sure people thought I had escaped from an institution. 😆😆😆😆 YOU GUYS KILLED IT!!!!! You were shaking picking up bones, I was jumping up and down laughing and yelling. Man, I need to find a hole like that to dig in. So damned impressive!!!!! CONGRATS ON A KILLER SCORE!!!!
The second shell you found after the welk was a king's crown Great Find!
Thank you Ethan!
Nice finds I want to come with yall lol
Just love you guys snow ice storm now flooding in kentucky you guys keep me going im a rock hound for 30 years keep it up beautiful people
Those spikey shells are so amazing! never seen anything like those before
That Great White is a real screamer..... Amazing colors and the shine..... Big fan of GW's
All I could think about was how heavy those horse fossils must be, but I kept screaming for you to find more!! I've never seen those colours on olive shells, they were totally awesome. Glad you had such a breath-taking day!
Surprisingly they weren't super heavy luckily! I hope we can keep uncovering more as we go back! It seemed to have really slowed down at the end of the day 😭
Totally agree! Those olive shells had some very stunning colors!
I found a partial tooth of a Wooly Mammoth one time up near St.Louis and was flipped out for a week over my find... If I found that much of a horse ..... I may have a stroke
Same here. I would totally lose my ability to function for a few moments. 😆😆😆 And this guy just kept picking up piece after piece......you might not be able to get me out of that spot!
Wild Kyle presents : how to build a horse!
Hard work pays off. Glad you all had a great time. Its a blast to make discoveries
The 3rd Cowry...Sounds like a movie title. Lol 🦈🐚🐚🐚
The horse bones are very cool, and I love the shells! I can't believe the preservation of those jewel boxes and murexes! Awesome great white teeth! I wanna play in that creek!😄💖
The man himself has returned with another awesome video!
You're too kind! 🙂
It's so amazing that the Lace Murex spines have survived, as they look so fragile! Cool finds Kyle!
Was admiring a big snakehead cowrie in my collection, and then sat and watch the video and y'all were finding cowrie shells. Thats just cool man! Can't wait for when you get that horse skeleton put together and standing up in your home lol.✌😁
What a great display of bones....very impressing...and the big shells...always such pretty finds...shark teeth are wonderful
There could be more of that horse under the bank where you guys were digging in creek
As a Swede I really appreciate this IKEA-type horse. ;)
Wow! That was fun. You've got to go back and find the skull. I also love those olive shells! My favs!!! 🐎
Yay! Derek is here! Please, bless us with thy magnificion hymn!
Hahahahaa "going down the river WOO WOO!"
@@WILDKYLE WOOP WOOP!!
Your so underrated dude, awesome video an please keep em coming.
Nothing like some good old creek hunting
You have found absolutely gorgeous olive shells. The colour variations ate stunning. I would love to see a layout of all the neat and colourful shells you have found at that location. I personally would be thrilled with some of your cast off shells and micro shells. You find neat stuff. If I lived closer I would be begging to tag along sometime. It is probably a good thing I live in Ontario. lol
You guy's are so funny 🤣😂 Great adventure 💓✌👣🌲
Thank you for joining the adventure Elizabeth 🙂🤟
Identification ideas: 2:27 in my opinion it's the (horse) calcaneus bone (heel bone) which is part of the knee and attaches to the astragalus bone and the tibia
7:12 it's a femur
7:34 it's the other end of the femur bone
8:37 probably part of the ulna bone (which attaches to the radius)
9:17 looks like a piece of a radius bone
9:42 femur
14:30 (24:05) tibia
I'm not an expert but I find all kinds of ice age bones in my region. So maybe I can tell you my opinion about your wonderful fossils with this comment 😃
Great video Kyle, love also the huge shells
Many greetings from Germany ✌🏼🇩🇪
Thank you my friend! I'm surprised we didn't find any astragalus with how many bones we got that are near that! Hopefully they will show up as we keep hunting here!
@@WILDKYLE Yeah hopefully... 🦴⛏️ I keep the fingers crossed for you 😜 Stay safe and healthy 👍🏻
That horse is insane. Keep up with the videos man I love watching them!
Just pure winning. This vid is so epic, I am envious of all those fossils!
You all are living the BEST Life eva' ~ Fantastic ! You are the " Bob and Doug McKenzie of the Rockhounding world !! haha ~
Thanks for bringing us along ~ Suse & Crew Vancouver Island BC CANADA ~*~
Darn kyle i just cant get my mind off them olive shells. Olive shells are pretty commend in florida nomatter if ur on a dirt road around picnic tables at parks or at the beach but them are so beautiful, ive got some pretty blue/grayish colored 1's but nothing compared too the color of those. Too bad u couldnt find some welk conch and other shells out there colored like that! Nature Just truly amazes me!
Always a joy!
Love the cool fossilized horse bone you found in the video
Kyle - Better and better!!!! That is a place that you are definitely going to have to hit again! Amazing finds! Take care & good hunting!
That olive shell colors where amazing.👀
Very nice. Loved the shell fossils especially the lace murex. Finding the horse was awesome.
The murex shells are sooo cool! My favorite are the cowries though!
Had to stop in as soon as i got the alert.. Always here to enjoy your videos and support your growing channel .. Thanks for another Awesome video!
Thanks so much my friend 🙂🤟
Nice video Wild Kyle! I'm going to have an OLIVE with my Martini on this crazy Monday for me. You made my day! Thanks dude!
Sounds delicious! Thanks for being here Annie! 🙂
The Lace Murex, Spiny Jewel box, and King's Crown Conch were my favorite shells! You're getting closer to a full horse! Wait...did that sound right 🤣😂
Oh! The Cowrys....WOW!!!
Fossil jewel boxes aren’t that uncommon here, I found a Crown conch just today too!
@@gatba5219 a Spiny Jewel box with that much spine is rare. It was beautiful!
@@Julianne955 agreed
One of your best ever fossil videos! That horse must have been mahoosive 😳. So good to see The RockMaster doing his thang as well, made me chuckle when he nearly sliced his cheek open with the gorgeous great white tooth. Look forward to seeing you back at that creek soon 👍
Very cool find! Now all you gotta do is glue all those bone pieces together, haha!
@ 20:10... Derek's LOOK 👀 Is soooooooo " Heisenberg " Breaking Bad 😵😁😁 KYLE ... Better Call Saul 👍
That whole horse is there! Just put it together!!!❤
I'm so jealous of you guys having access to such an abundance of amazing fossils! Living vicariously through your videos Kyle 🤩
I would give anything to go an find fossils like that.
Those olive shells have such stunning color, they look like they're made of marble. Your vids are always so much fun to watch.
That dark olive shell is stunning. Amazing colors. Great find Kyle
Every time I'm like... wheres your ziplock... get a bucket. You're gonna lose treasures in the leaves.
I love to watch this video because the shells are so well preserved it's just incredible they don't even look like fossils
You guys always make me smile with your fun loving ways and awsome finds thank you God Bless and keep you safe love from kentucky
you are very fun to watch .my dream is going to fossil hunting but i never have the opportunity but when i watch you feel like i’m there as well.
You should try and get digging science out there and see if he can't help find more of that horse. What if it's been murdered and you can be the Paleo-sherlock bones and Watsonadon
Finally got here earlier than two hours!😂 Oh my gosh! Duuude! I would be LOSING it!😱 epic shells, shark teeth, AND horse fossils!? What!? My ammonites i got into yesterday suddenly feel underwhelming🤣😂
Maaaaan I would lose it over ammonites though haha!
@@WILDKYLE hey man, if you ever find yourself headed to Montana, get ahold of me! I would GLADLY take you to my secret spot with great ammonites, ammolite, and baculites😄 looooots of fossils in Montana! Only downside is there is no such thing as vertebrate permit here, so it's inverts only, BUT that is not an issue with how many amazing inverts we have here😄
@@TheoKellison Good to know. I am thinking about moving there in a year or two. I absolutely love ammonites. For now, I just kick around in Louisiana.
Great find Kyle! Maybe you found unicorn remains , look for the horn! lol
Kyle this area is INCREDIBLE !!!!! You should bag up some of the fine stuff and sell it to those of us that can't make it to FL. I would love to see more of that horse that you've been collecting. Wouldn't it be crazy to find enough of it to start piecing together the animal? I've always enjoyed your videos but this one and the bottle deposits down at that crazy lake shore have me stoked. Can't wait to see more. Stay safe my friend and HAPPY HUNTING!
I have thought about bagging up this material for sure! It would really be fun to look through. I hope we find more of it because towards the end we stopped finding pieces of bone. Hopefully we will find more when we go back!
Oh man I would sell my left leg to get my hands on those tiny baby fossilized shells!!! 😱😍 Absolutely amazing finds dude!
4:00 looks like a Yeehaw, best whelk 😏
Loved it,enjoy you guys.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love seeing what y'all find!!!
I think I awesome how you help your friends grow their channels, your seem like an amazing friend
I wanna do my part 🙂
@@WILDKYLE is about the only dude that has followed through for me in quite some time. He likes to eat at Moe's so spread the word and lets send him an unlimited supply of gift cards.
Amazing! Love the horse fossils
I have been experimenting with these fossil shells and aquatic invertebrate tanks and so far things have been going good. They each were thoroughly cleaned without chemicals, soaked for a day each, and placed in low flow, and so far, they haven’t had any ill effects. Take what I say with a grain of salt, of course, and definitely don’t use them with vertebrates. I just wanted to share this in case anyone has tried this or wanted to hear about it.
I will update this if anything goes wrong. 🙂
Great stuff again Kyle! Excellent place to go back to in the future
I hope you rebuild the horse. That would be so cool.
Olive shells never looked so Stunning. Kyle. : )
Instantly became one of my favorite spots of yours!
Would be cool to find evidence of marine scavenging on the horse material.
Love, love, love, this video keep up the good work my friend 👏 😊
Those olive shells and the small spiky ones are amazing!
Epic finds! Congratulations 🐴🦄
the creek must be like.................SPIT OUT THE (horse) BONE!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing! Have you contacted any museums or universities to ID the horse? You might be able to reassemble some of the pieces and glue them. A mixture of 1/2 Elmer's glue and 1/2 water is a good inexpensive field consolidant.
Jeff's shirt. Hell yeah!
Finally someone is checking me out. I was getting worried.
You guys are ALWAYS horsing around!
Great finds
Loved it! Please go back for more!
Planning on it for sure! 🤟
That is so epic! Those shells are beautiful and then fossil bones and teeth, oh my goodness.
Awesome video
And what’s up @sand Marcus 🤙
Just exploring! haha
Wow, this is such an incredible location !
Awesome finds dude😎🤙🏽 I found some old bottles over the weekend in bham
Nice man congrats on the finds!
Reminds me a lot of Leisey shell pit. There was a layer called the bone bed just above the Bermont formation that contained many vertebrate fossils. Might be something the museum may like to look at. I would highly recommend getting one of every shell so you can attempt to get some index taxa to get identification for the formation (though, it may be a bit mixed from the creek). It’s a shame there isn’t much info around on these shells, but I’ve been trying to help out Wikipedia.
Lace murax 1 of my favorite shells i also find 1 a few mouths back with all its lacey goodness still intacked
happy hunting
God Bless!
Loving the videos Kyle they make my day thank you for putting a smile on my face 😊😀
Well it puts a smile in my face to know it put a smile on yours! Thank you Tia! 🙂
@@WILDKYLE thank you Kyle
I wanna win a great white tooth!! Awesome finds guys....sooo coool!
It would be hard to stop digging after find so much horse bone. Imagine finding the skull!
I would've died if he pulled up the skull. I was waiting and hoping he would.....or will in a future video.
@@jessicadavenport2808 give me a couple months and I'll preplan one there without Kyle knowing :p
@@SandMarcusJ 😆😆😆 perfect!
Hey Kyle, Its not a Fighting conch but a large Crown conch (Melongena corona).
I didn't realize Cowries sound like David Lee Roth when they sing.
They do 🤣
That is so cool!
🤟🤟🤟
Did you guys give that shell eyebrows?
Cuz that’s totally wicked!
Those olive shells look so amazing! I hope you get enough horse bones to put it somewhat back together!
Love the big marbled olive shell
The first Murex you found is an Apple Murex, and the second one found I believe is a Lace Murex. Great finds, Kyle!!
Spikey murex is a lace murex. The olives are huge and I'm jealous of the cowries! Would love to shell with you there.
The cowries are my all time favorite!
You should invest in a wrist lanyard for your phone. Many phones have a tiny loop built in to them just for that purpose.
Nice video man i like that you do
I find this so cool, I'm from Alberta Canada and we don't get anywhere near as cool of stuff in our creeks and rivers. The shells and the bones are of great abundance there hey? Here we can find tons of deer and horse teeth just not that old. We have gold, ammonites and tons of petrified wood LOL I'd love to go treasure hunting there forsure 😍
I think that’s the first horse canine I’ve seen. Pretty amazing.
Seems like finding fossil pieces might be fairly easy in the rivers if you know where to go, but it’s a lot more rare to find big portions of a single animal like that. It’s like tooth tooth tooth claw tooth shell tooth…HORSE! 😱😱😱
I know you found parts of the horse over multiple trips. So is there a point you where you start to arrange the pieces so you know what you still need to find?
Y'all have found a lot today
You should name that horse!
Another great video Kyle! at 4:06 I believe that is a crown conch (melongena); fighting conchs typically don't get that large or have as defined knob. Happy hunting
I know that it would be unlikely but if you find enough bone fragments of the horse you could probably glue them back together
