Oh my God, these two really steal your heart, don't they? Genuine chemistry and perfect match! Why don't they get together already!? They've got such a beautiful and balanced masculine-feminine energy between them; Aaron is manly but not overly that it seems like he's overcompensating, Emily is so sweet but also a strong lady who can stand on her own. Just perfect! So happy to know that other people love this pairing, too! :-)
I marathoned season 1 over the weekend and fell in love with Aaron and Emily - their relationship starts off rocky, as you'd expect, you're led to believe they'll be cutthroat about their jobs etc. but I love that both characters are so richly layered. Beneath that sharp, calculating facade, Aaron has a huge heart, and in spite of her sweetness and morality Emily still makes the tough decisions and calls people out. Was waiting all season for something more, and comments online suggest I won't be happy with the next two seasons - a shame! Lovely video.

I will say, spoiler alert, they get brought back in the story in S3 if that helps at all. But yeah I get where you're coming from. They really handled them a lot differently than I thought they would

Currently on season 2 of designated survivor and honestly I'm kinda disappointed that there hasn't been anymore/ much of Aaron and Emily interacting. I saw their season 1 kiss coming a mile away since the very early episodes but was sad that what happened wasn't picked up after Aaron got cleared and that they just kinda left it, and then in season 2 when she and Seth got together, it didn't feel right, and I was expecting to see a jealous Aaron, but so far I haven't? They haven't been interacting much, and honestly it feels like we haven't seen a lot of him, at least not how much we saw when he was chief of staff. Back then he and Emily definitely had a good thing going, great chemistry and a good bond/partnership that they built while learning how to work together, they seemed to balance each other out well and I was looking forward to seeing more off it, but we didn't see that after he was no longer chief of staff. Would liked to have seen more, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one who wanted to see more of them.
