Thanks to Lee, we've addressed the issue mentioned at the six minute mark. If you order a manual press from us, you won't have to worry about this issue from now on. Thank you, Lee.
Hell of a press and set up! Active duty Army now, but before I joined, I have worked for many shops and your attention to detail is by far the best I've seen. Quality shop, quality product. Been binge watching your videos from the first one til now. You are a perfect example of what other shops should strive to be like, big or small. I look forward to future vids!
Current screen printer here. Love your videos. It’s cool how everyone has their own way of doing certain things. But I gotta tell ya if you get bigger and start pumping out higher piece count you’re gonna want an auto for sure. Saves on the wrists and shoulders lol. Also precision wise you can’t beat an auto once you figure out the set ups. Same exact pressure every stroke of your squeegee. Basically just gets rid of that human error factor.
Dude I feel your pain everything has to be spot on can't stand anything off at all. I nolonger screen print but print in a wide format printer... Just kills me when it is off... Excellent vid
You probably won't even see this loll but I just have to say I just found your channel a couple days ago and I have literally been binge watching your videos like you would your favorite Netflix series!! #obsessed lmao and I absolutely love your personality which makes learning from you that much more awesome!
Awesome video with a great explanation of the benefits of side clamps! I use an Anatol 6/6 and did use a brown 4/4.. both side clamps with micro registration. I think it is crucial to side clamp especially doing multiple colors in huge quantities.. however I would love a 4/4 front clamp for doing all our single color jobs and odd jobs.. probably a purchase this coming year!
Both setups definitely have their benefits, I'm wishing I had just one front clamp for doing neck labels faster so I might add a single color press dedicated to that. But for multi color stuff you can't really beat the side clamps 🙌🏻
Hope those vagi-gauge strips were clean before checking those gap clearances 🤣 excellent upgrade, cant wait to see your more detailed prints with the new setup.
Just got my side clamps in , I would def like a more in depth video of how you leveled them out. and also how you set your off contact with the side clamps. I only ask cause there is not many videos out there using the new Ryonet side clamps
Have you ever thought about trying out Newman Roller Frames? I think it would lessen the variable of your shop starting cool and heating up affecting the aluminum frames. Plus, you can control the tension of your screens and make sure all your 230's are at the same Nm and all your 158's are at the same Nm.
I'd love to but I just don't have the space to accommodate rollers just yet. There's no one remotely close that deals with them so in order to do it properly I'd need to go all in and have the stretching table for them and everything. Once I move to a new space I want to transition over
What was your reason in not going M&R right off the bat? The Kruzer offers exactly what you are trying to achieve in consistency. I’ve been running M&R since 2011.
Torque wrench, huh? Yeah, got one hiding here too. It’s a must have around here. I’m too OCD. 🤪 Need to tune our Riley 300 up as well. Trying to get this automatic up and running first. As always, looks good bro.
Starting my own brand, using Shopify Venture theme, just checked out your website and I see you are using it as well! A sign maybe? I’ve been debating whether to get this thing started or not. Appreciate your motivating videos👊🏼
Well after seeing your IG story, I'm picking up on all the sound and movement cues now 🤣🤣 what's up with the hoodie?? New design? Awesome video as always 👍
It really depends on your budget and your plans for what you'd like to print. But I'd check out what ryonet has for you, they've got a press for pretty much anyone's needs 🤘🏻
Hey Lee, as always I really appreciate your informative (and comical) vids. I’ve wanted side clamps for my Hopkins press for some time now and of course, this vid shows up on my feed. How long is that bar that you grinded off the corners? Thanks for your time 🤙🏼 -Jay, Pressland Printing/Pressland General/Locomotive Clothing & Supply
I don't know man..I have registration problems with my same 8x6 machine too, but $9500 for side clamps on a machine I feel like SHOOULD have dead on balls accurate registration as is!?
Like I said in the video, it's no fault of the press. It's the flex and movement that comes from the screens themselves, side clamps get rid of most of that. It's definitely not $9500 to upgrade to side clamps, and you can buy this press with them already on. Both options are available on most presses on the market since a lot of people like the forward clamp for whatever reason, I personally think all upper tier presses should be side clamps only.
Love watching your videos man, your the reason I’m getting into screen printing.would 100 percent do a class with you shoot me an email if you start it up
@@leestuart38 Great that's what mine is I believe. I just got it so I got to even everything out to so all my screens will be lined up the same way so all my colors and everything else fall in the same place. This should be a big help. Are you located in Georgia?

Bwahahaha I’m sure there are new business owners that would pay for an immersive experience like that. Ps. How long until you develop a “Wheelie-cam”? We know he’s the one in charge.
Make sure to tell everyone you can about that so I can finally break the 100k subs mark after 6 years of this haha. I do plan on doing some hands on classes here one day, I've got a few things cooking up 🧠

The heat you generate from your shop isnt going to make it more malleable lol I think you did a lot of over kill and you still have flex I think there is a simpler solution But hey you had fun and your happy one final note dial calipers arent that great should have used a dial indicator or micrometers if you wanted it dead nuts..
Its the level of detail in your videos I love... little things others miss... I've not started yet... haven't even brought my press... and when I do it won't be as big and nice as yours . I have an old native side clamps press, and I am always surprised at how it holds registration.

How do you keep you shop so clean?
