Hey, Lee dude may you please help out my brand? Its something I just started doing, sort of like jumped into & honestly do not know what I'm doing. btw Love the content bro your work efficiency is just mind-blowing to me it'll be an honor to study maybe get a few pointers from you dude. wish you and 38 the best of blessings.
I'm an employee for a print shop and I'm always looking for videos to improve for my boss and I. Let me tell you your attention to detail and efficiency blew my mind. Continue to grow and learn!
I've stopped following quite a few channels for one reason or another, but yours is always here to stay. You're constantly progressing, your quality is always primo, and I'm entertained while being inspired. #GettinShitDone
I'm a new Subscriber. Stubbled across your channel by looking for screenprinting videos . I'm currently in the same process of doing my own screenprinting setup for my brand . I have to say your video edits are badass and your vibe makes videos enjoyable to watch. I appreciate the honest review of the products that you are putting in the shop and identifying the things none us wouldn't know unless we bought the equipment. Keep up the great content .
Been supporting since the first wheelies!!! I'm actually currently wearing your Blue Skeleton Shirt that had the yellow Restless across it!! Can't wait to update the wardrobe!!
Precious experiences you got more and more ! Well organised it's also a precious time👌🏻I like very much the way your work shop is arranged and clean in black walls. Awesome to watch your evolution!
I dry mines in the sun after blowing them with the air compressor. Also make sure the air compressor is not sucking in moisture. It could blow specks of oil, dirty water or grease into the screen. Great videos and amazing organization with your shop!
I just want to add, that I find extreme value in your videos. I recently started my own screen printing business, ran out of my basement, with ryonet equipment. I envy your shop and use your shop as inspiration to grow. Like you I've been studying screen printing for quite some time, and have a general knowledge of it. I look forward to more of your videos!
Loving the small-business vlogging. Great to see you creating a career for yourself. Would love to see more about the business itself (not just how to screen print), e.g. your sales numbers, creating volume etc
Thanks a lot. I actually plan on sharing more about that as I go. I never really plan these out, they just happen whenever I decide to pull out the camera haha
Watching your videos for 2 days now and man, you are awesome. You are a great help in my growing print shop here in Philippines. Looking up for more screen printing vids ..Thanks!
I've binged your videos for the last 2 days, I love your content and your transparency(pun intended) with everything. You're the no bullshit kinda guy and I have mass amounts of respect for that.
Cheers! I'm just getting frustrated seeing all these cool screens and not knowing where to get the merch lol. It's been a blast seeing you go from Harley whorlies to hustling on a business that really seems to give you joy. It's like a "how it's made" with good video production and an interesting narrator.
Great stuff Lee and good to see that you have your business head on right. Statistics show that well over 95% of new businesses fail in the first five years. In my professional opinion, every one of them failed at the point when they ran out of cash. Reasons for running out of cash are many and varied but all of those reasons are fixable - if you can spot them and if you then have the cash to push through the fix time. Good luck!
You're absolutely right! I've been close to making those mistakes before and now I know better, so now I'm always planning ahead for the worst case scenario so I can't always stay ahead. Thanks dude
Hey Lee, great to see vlog finally by a fellow Canuck. Im in Edmonton. Efficiency should be your middle name man, shop looks great. I retrofitted my exposure unit with a 50watt LED and my exposure times are about 12secs. I have a 25watt LED light i had ordered and used for a couple weeks and we were getting 45secs exposures but wanted something quicker. Its just sitting in a box, i can ship it to ya for free if you want. I see ur at 3:45 for exposing. Up to you mano, keep up the vlog its great to see. -Josh
Thanks dude. My exposure is only high because I'm running a dual cure emulsion I had just to get rid of it since it has a short shelf life, dual cure all runs high exposure times. I'm only at 30secs with my photopolymer stuff, so there's no need for an LED. Plus I don't wanna tear apart a 3 week old exposure unit to rig up parts into haha. But thanks for the offer man, cool of you to do 👊🏻
Been watching your videos for years and I still love them. My home page is filled with suggested videos about screen printing which I'm not super interested in. I just love Lee Stuart ❤
You inspired me to clean up my shop! We do screenprinting, embroidery, iron on transfers, sublimation, printing cut and sew and a few other things . we do a lot and my crew is a little messy ,time to get organized !
That's awesome to hear. A clean shop makes everything run so much smoother and there's always less mistakes in your work, plus the customer appreciates it. 🙌🏻
great job, you are one perfectionist screen printer, nice work! Where did you buy the backsplash plex? I need to replace the one I have had for years. Its major stained!
You’re an inspiration man! I actually own 2 businesses as well and last week i got my Riley Hopkins equipment as well and I’m starting the screen printing journey as well! I’m so hooked and you’ve made it even better for me ! Please keep sharing your experiences man you’re helping us so much! If you happen to have time to give some tips on how to center a shirt on the platen that would be awesome man! That’s the only Part of the process i haven’t been able to get :/
That's super cool to hear, thanks man. To me they're just dumb videos I make for fun, it's amazing that they somehow impact people positively. As for the shirt, I kinda use the sleeve seams and the armpit area to gauge if it's straight. If those are centered you're usually right where you wanna be. Sometimes there is that faint center crease in the shirt from manufacturing too, but they're never 100% down the middle so that's only a quick guide for me.
I’ve only been following you for about a week but damn love it. I’ve been self teaching myself to screen print for a little while but love to see the progress your making and even learning through your channel. Liked and subbed man. Keep up the hard work.
Haha nah I'm not concerned enough about the environment to drop that kind of money on something that doesn't make this place run better. I'm not worried about the plumbing because the tiny bit of ink that gets in there is broken down to nothing by my ink degrader
I have always interested in screen printing and came across your videos, wow this is an eye opener, thank you, thank you thank you, can you tell me how much it cost to set up like you. I am in Australia and all the best to you
Inspiring man I’ve been working in my aunt and uncles screen print and embroidery shop the last 12 years…mostly managed and ran all the embroidery now I’ve moved to the screen print side the past year or so but I have plans to hopefully move in to doing my own thing soon…I’m a big gamer and tried the streaming thing for a bit and think it would be really cool to set up my own shop some day and stream it to twitch some how and maybe grow by doing merch for other streamers and stuff like that i think that could do really well
Hey Lee, wanted some advice. I'm 22 and run a small clothing brand, also print workwear for other people on another little side business that I have. I'm planning on going on a year trip next year to get some travel behind me. I'm a little sceptical at the moment thinking about leaving the printing behind for a while, is it the right choice? Do I stay and work for something at this age or get out and see the world a little bit before I die! I won't give up my work but I'd definitely carry it on once I'm back. Just after your PO
Hey Lee hope you see this! Really want to know the width of your doors entry, I think I’ll be cutting it real close fitting mine in my room when it arrives haha!
Lee Stuart .....Love the tight squeeze :-) I am looking at equipment but dont have the funds to throw at it all that you do...did :-) How can I shave some decent money off the total cost of setting up ...thinking about DIY drier... .spray booth etc. I'll be honest I havent looked online yet myself ..but I was watching this ...I will look now but wanted to ask if you knew of any good DIY solutions....Im pretty handy so can do whatever anyone has done ....or I'll break something trying. Any advice very much welcomed. Thanks
Ok don't worry I've changed my mind... If I can't do it properly I'm not doing it. Too many variables ..I want to know everything's doing is job the way is supposed to. Thanks
Your business model totally fucks dude. Keep it up bro! I know with how you have been running things there that I would work for you in a heartbeat and I am sure others would love too as well.
Been watching you for a long time on this account and my old Dave Surrey account, and i still swear you have to be related to my family in Manitoba lol. Man you have come along way from wheelies and stoppies, and its really good to see how much you have grown as a company.
hi there Lee, If it's sunny outside can't you just leave them outside? I live in the Caribbean so would be easy for me to put them outside and they'll be dry in no time. Let me know!
You definitely don't want to do that for a lot of reasons. UV light exposes emulsion for starters, and dirt and bugs would also end up the the wet emulsion
Grab a concrete mixing bit for a drill, just gotta find something to hold the canister still while you mix, feet work but it's prone to a mess. Its also useful to warm up some poly inks so it's easier to push/pull.
I've found a few options to try out, just gotta experiment and see what works best once I have a bit of extra time to make and clean and giant mess haha
saw one of your video last night and liked it so i gave you a sub hope to learn a lot from your channel on screen printing i currently do heat transfers and printing whit siser easyweed and im about to order a small four color screen printing machine
Go big or go home as they say ... you fuken sent it! All your machines are bad ass! This would be a bad ass shop size for me. Clean shop = top notch quality 👌🏽 your going all in with screen printing Your edit game is insane 👌🏽 very talented individual
Great content Lee. Love the designs you're creating. Re the mixer, try cheap scissors from a $2 shop. simply wield the shaft together (or electrical tape if you want that hillbilly look) so the scissors no longer open and close and slam them shaft first into your drill or drill press and you should be good to go the finger holes make great paddles. Cheap scissors are the best as you can have a set for different colours and when they break throw them away and build a new set without breaking the bank.
what's up. I've been following your Channel for about 4 months or so and I just want to tell you that your worker quality and your effort doing this shit is good if not the best. I think you have the best Channel on RUclips for this screen printing shit. In my opinion you are the epitome of this screen printing shit on RUclips I respect what you do I appreciate the information that you give. that's pretty much all I have to say about that. Keep working keep grinding keep posting keep motivating. I think I speak for everyone that follow you when I say this.... Thanks you👍👍👍👍🤑🤑🤑🤑
Hello sir thanks for your awesome videos. And sir i want to know how to get recipe for colour mixing and matching because i am also screen printer 😊😊 i want to make colours like yours so please explain me sir 🙏
Are you using UltraChrome in your printer now? I used a laser printer but my prints were small size. Toner is way cheaper though and 100% opaque because it's melted plastic.
Ya this uses rosin ultrachrome, but the dye setup will replace the matte black slot and be way better. Dye is the best transfer you can make hands down
Hey. I bought the Epson SureColor P400 and read that the printer isnt compatible with all black ink. Did it work out for you? If so which inks did you use? Thanks! Your channel has helped me A LOT!
There is no all black system for that printer, but with accurip it'll print out of only the black slot which is basically the same thing. You just need to stock up on cartridges
What type of printer do you use for making films. I have a Epson 1430 and bought this on Craigslist for $240 had to clean the head really good then bought a continuous ink setup for $45 on ebay and I have been printing films for about two months and I print almost every other day so a lot of films and I have not had to buy more ink yet.
I have the epson p400. There isn't a continuous ink system for this thing unfortunately, epson got too smart for that. These companies make their money on the ink, not the printers haha
My washout is my shower, with a hose attachment. My screen dryer is my guest bathroom with a space heater. And my exposure unit is my old grow light. ....no complaints so far.
OK so I have a question if I’m buying a vinyl cutter do I go with the Titans vinyl cutter does ranges from $700-$1000 but it doesn’t have a servo motor should I look for a vinyl cutter with the servo motor or should I buy supplies for screen printing a set up
Vastex vault is a great one. 10 screen drying cabinet for 2k a bit overpriced. Overall great video and content. Keep them coming. Best screen printing leaning vids on here
Thanks man. This one is basically the same as the vastex unit, just Ryonets version. They're all over priced to hell haha, but I'm happy I got it and didn't have to burn multiple days building one.
Hey Lee Stuart, new viewer here and gonna sub. Wondered if you’d care to share where you get your hats embroidered? As in the race flags and THIRTY EIGHT 3D puff banner hat? Looks like quality, thanks in advance. Dope content
Way to Put in the F'n' Work! Can't wait to see a video of you modding your new equipment. Keep up the good work! PS. Put a front wheel in the air today, thought about you. Don't forget to take time to blow off some steam and chill. I know you've been working your ass off!
i use plastic cloth hanger i cut it to make a "hook shape" on the bottom part of the hanger. then i use a regular drill. then rather than cleaning it i just threw it away. its faster because i dont have to clean it. its just like $2 for like 15 hangers more or less
Nice work, as always! Seriously close call on the width of that dryer, lol. Sometimes I almost feel like you've put all that work and equipment into your basement for nothing...seems like at this pace, you'll be in a legit shop building in no time! Well, I hope so anyway bro...keep grinding! 👊🏼😁
Thanks man. I already know that all the work to make this place look the way it does is only for the short term, but it was totally worth it either way because I definitely credit part of the success to the look and functionality of this place 🤘🏻
@@leestuart38 well i appreciate the replay ill be definitely be looking to your page for tips and tricks. im trying the whole youtube channel my self . are you using a vinyl printer in your shop right now?
I own a small copy shop just me and my wife, had for about 13 years know. Just started screen printing last year self taught I fell you you r pain. Just want to share some out sourcing site I use maybe they can help you. They are for banners and signs and large format decals. Signs2 Trade,Signs 365, 777 signs and 4Over.com. I would say good luck but if we bust our tail and pour our heart into it there is no luck needed.
@@leestuart38 damn, thats insane, basically instant compared to drying regularly, even if I'd forget to coat the day before, I could just have it ready in an hour, def worth to invest in one. Thanks for the quick reply and info man, I appreciate everything you do here.
As far as those power switches go... If you made some shirts that said "make the world a better place, punch an engineer in the face." I would buy all of them! Thanks for the upload man!
I've been thinking of purchasing my own equipment for my brand. Any recommendations for beginner equipment? And what program are you using to separate your colors? Thanks.
Would you ever think of getting a DTG printer. It’s quick , good quality and it can help you when you’re backed up with orders. You should check out Omni print.

Keep working keep grinding keep posting keep motivating. I think I speak for everyone that follow you when I say this.... Thanks you👍👍👍👍🤑🤑🤑🤑
Lee,
What's up bro? What's the mesh count on them screens? Also where to purchase. Thanks bro for the great content. You are the benchmark!
Dye is the best transfer you can make hands down
yo do you think a 1,000 vinyl cutter is a good but or a small screen printing set up ? thanks brah dope video
Not quite sure I understand fully, but a vinyl cutter is definitely a good investment
Love your work and work ethic, gets me motivated to get my own shit going
Thanks man, hope it does!
Nice one brother.
I'll be continuing to stay even if you make fairy cake making videos don't worry.
Cheers for the content🤘😎
Haha maybe I'll get into cake videos yet, you never know what I could be up to. Thanks man
@@leestuart38 I'd actually really enjoy that dude. You won't do it, no balls ❤
What photoshop app does he use?
Adobe illustrator
@@leestuart38 I have a question if I have a picture that is full solid black how can I turn it in to full solid red on adobe illustrator, thank you.
This Man Will Go Down As A Legend Bank On It! 💪🏾💯
Thanks homie 👊🏻
Lee Stuart No Problem Fam
What is the name of the material where you print your positives?, I would appreciate the information
I use rite film
By any means necessary can make it happen
OK so I have a question if I’m buying a vinyl cutter do I go with the Titans vinyl cutter does ranges from $700-$1000 but it doesn’t have a servo motor should I look for a vinyl cutter with the servo motor or should I buy supplies for screen printing a set up
That's up to you depending on your budget and where you want to take your business. But if you buy a vinyl cutter, definitely buy one with servo drive
Yo videos stayed great man idgf what kind of video it is I'm trynna watch it!! No one on RUclips does your edits
Thanks a lot dude! Always trying to improve a little bit with each one
That's awesome man. I won't be able to do that for a few months yet with all this snow haha
Just curious, but is the PUT IN THE FU(KING WORK done in the Modesto font? Looks really similar to the font I use for my brand.
No it's not, that's in brothers bold
i use plastic cloth hanger i cut it to make a "hook shape" on the bottom part of the hanger. then i use a regular drill. then rather than cleaning it i just threw it away. its faster because i dont have to clean it. its just like $2 for like 15 hangers more or less
I found some nice options that are cheap and easy to clean, so I'll have to do some experimenting
@@leestuart38 just dont use the thing for baking its hell to clean.
That music is smooth good vibes only my good fella
MAN KEEP the VIBE UPPP
Always dude 👊🏻
You gave me some good input. I’m screening fragrance bottles
Glad to help!
@@leestuart38 ah man, what you did to the place is amazing! Not many people have a professional business that looks like that in their basement!
So got a question water base or plastical inks? Which do you prefer ?
Each has its application, there's no one I prefer. But plastisol is the easiest to work with when it comes to production
@@leestuart38 well i appreciate the replay ill be definitely be looking to your page for tips and tricks. im trying the whole youtube channel my self . are you using a vinyl printer in your shop right now?
Can I use a inkjet Epson xp 440 to print on transparency paper? It's what I got for now.
Hey Lee, who makes your t-shirt blanks? My OG long sleeve is one of my favorite fitting and most comfortable shirts in general.
Those ones were Bella and canvas 🤘🏻
Great videos you mentioned a egg better try a long allen wrench easier to clean. Nice shop!
Not a bad idea, thanks man
I own a small copy shop just me and my wife, had for about 13 years know.
Amazing as always dude
Thank you sir!
Hey Lee, what's your best time on drying emulsion so far?
This this cabinet it's ready to go in like 15-20 minutes on most stuff. 30 minutes to be safe
Haha if you wanna order 12 or more, let me know and I'll make them. Thanks dude
@@leestuart38 rogue lab?
yes sir
@@leestuart38 got it, thanks Lee
I've been thinking of purchasing my own equipment for my brand. Any recommendations for beginner equipment? And what program are you using to separate your colors? Thanks.
Learning new stuff from your videos too😎💪
That's awesome 🤘🏻
Woah woah woah! 204 Skate Shop?! Yo! I know that shop! Grew up in their town. Small world!
I grew up there too
Fucking deadly as always. Keep up the solid work man!
Thanks dude!
Would you ever think of getting a DTG printer. It’s quick , good quality and it can help you when you’re backed up with orders. You should check out Omni print.
I plan on getting one eventually, but only for doing the small orders that are under 12 pieces or small orders of high color stuff
Keep up the great work buddy 👍🏻
Always man 🤘🏻
Another kick ass video love the progress my man, and again fuck those haters and those who disliked this video.
Thanks again dude, those are the turds I was talking about haha
@@leestuart38 ohhhhh those dumb asses, gotchu. And no problem my man keep up the great work.
You have the p400 right? whats the ink upgrade you're talking about?
It's made by freehand I think their company is called. Just google p400 black dye kit and you'll find it
@@leestuart38 Thanks will do, just starting out and just bought the p400.. hopefully the dye works out for ya
Hey any updates you can share on the black dye conversion kit?
Hey bratha, r u doing designs under or above cap bill?
