You're one of the channels i got inspiration from to start my own custom shirt business, at the moment just been going a week with vinyl only (had 5 customers and 1 of them was a stranger :) and now i'm saving $1,200 usd to buy a 4 station screen press (buying things in New Zealand is hella expensive) keep up the great vids they're truly an inspiration.
Good to hear man, get after it 👊🏻
Literally my inspo for starting up my own print shop in the UK. Is it possible to watch someone's videos too much 😂
That's awesome to hear! 🙌🏻
Use 305 Screens, also use a different print order. go with Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, Black.
Also, if you add the black screen to the job, it will darken the center of the letters alot. Good luck
thats how i know they are supposed to get printer
Thats the order I use. I register it in reverse because it's a lot easier to see
I literally spend hours watching your videos ... i wanted to start a screen printing business and i was not really sure if i should do it or not but your videos are really an inspiration in every aspect! You got me convinced! It's happening!
That's great to hear! Hopefully you make happen, good luck!
Great content as always! If you back flood the screen after your stroke it helps it not to sludge up, and use emulsion hardener to prevent the screen from breaking down as fast
Bro this video came at the perfect time. I've been working on CMYK halftone printing lately, and this video definitely answered a few questions. Great content!
Glad to help man 👊🏻. Thanks
the key to CMYK printing is the separations and don't forget to burn your screens on 355 mesh and use 90D squeegees
As always Lee great video! Not only is your content entertaining, but I feel that I genuinely learn something. Keep up all the work and I will see you on the next one.
Thanks so much, really cool to hear that 👊🏻
Bro!!! i just watched all of your videos, and i just wanna let u know that you are AMAZING and SOOOOOO INSPIRING!!! Keep up the awesome work!! Thank you so much for sharing with us...also I subbed to you long time ago, and I was wondering why i hadn't been getting updated, and when i found you again, it showed like i wasn't subscribed, this has happened before to me, so maybe YT has some sort of glitch. Thanks again though. ♥♥♥
Always awesome to hear that, thank you!
Very talented with both photography/editing and screen printing. Great content. Stick with it and this will all grow👍🏼.
Thanks a lot 🙌🏻
Curious to see it in halftones. The colors I presume mix better and mixed shows the effect you are looking for better. Let us know as a test. I’m curious about it. Those process inks I believe mix properly is why they make them for that.
Great idea and video for sure.
🤙🏾 print shop goals for sure!🔥
Great work and great channel! I spent a year trying to solely use water-based ink on my manual press and was constantly frustrated with inconsistencies and ink drying out. Switched back to plastisol and couldn't be happier.
Thanks 🙏🏻 . I definitely prefer plastisol from a workflow standpoint, but the result of waterbased is pretty amazing and things are moving more in that direction these days. So I have to make sure I can be efficient with both
Dope dude. Love the content and love the clothes always my go to riding shirts
Hell ya 👊🏻
Mist the ink with water after you use each color. Helps a ton and keeps it from turning into sludge. Just make sure it’s a salon grade mist nozzle.
Ya that's the only way I could keep it workable in between filming
Love the using of the cmyk as spot colors. You should try out discharge inks, they are super bright as water based goes.
I've discharged a fair bit, not a huge fan because of the fumes and my small space. That shit is like poison haha.
thanks for sharing this. I still remembered i did my first ever cmyk print awhile back. didn't come out perfect but did learned from it. by the way, you edit your videos awesome.
Thanks a lot. This was my first try with it obviously, love that I can use it in another way than it was intended. I'll have to come up with some kind of halftone design now to test further
@@leestuart38 Yes. Love to see your next CMYK print. I also want to give it another try.
To reduce your ink on the T... try 1 flood stroke, 1 dry stroke. Also mist your screens with water. and look at water based retarder. You should jump to Discharge ink for a handful of dark coloured T's
That was an awesome print...like how you did that...keep these awesome videos coming...
Bro you should try using the colors in a diferent order, I mean CYMK or MCYK, the last ink you use before black tells you the "final tone" you will obtain. Then black will make that tone darker. Hope this help you
Awesome video man! Where did you get your tags to sew at the bottom of the shirt? And also where did you get your xl stickers at?
Hell yea man! Keep it going bro!! Glad to see wheelie is still doing good!
Wheelie is the best 🙌🏻
Good shit man, gotta love that waterbase :P we tend to keep our screens flooded when running waterbase so that it dosnt dry in the image, makes it run soo much better. Also getting extra screens and leaving a few with your most popular images is a great idea. lol we literally have like 1000+ preburned screens so the are ready to go for reorders. Keep thinking about that auto man, were getting a new Saber 12 head at the end of july.... soo freaking stoked!!!
Thanks dude. I'm hoping to be on an auto before the end of the year, just trying to find the right spot to move to 🙌🏻
@@leestuart38 that is crucial man, we are in a warehouse, 16, 10, 10 head autos with full dryers for each one, and another 12 head at the end of next month. Its summer time in the tee shirt business!! can you hear me!!!
hey man! i screen print by myself down in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, i´ve been watching ur videos and its great all u doing, love ur workshop!
im bearly starting with the cmyk on plastisol cuz increses the range of designs...
just wondering... what if u try a dot patern on the same design
maybe that wil give the effect on the blue...
i would of do only one paper stencil and brun the same one o the 4 screens, then just pull/push my registration that little bit
(im doing my tests on 120 mesh)
regards from Mexico bro! keep it up!
High humidity can help keep water based workable, but it's bad news for screen making. Definitely gonna look in to the warp dry! I havent attempted water based due to our flash and dryer. No forced air and they both use flat panels so I feel like moisture will cause issues. Awesome video man!
Warp drive pretty much makes it idiot proof, which is good for me 😂
Another killer video bro keep up the good work 👍😁
Thanks man
Man I love your videos wish I had my own shop
Thanks man. Work hard and you'll get it 👊🏻
Great video as usual. I've never been able to try water based or cmyk printing but always wanted to. Would like to see the difference on the art side of that kind of printing too, also isn't there different emulsions required?
Normally it's used for stuff that would be impossible with spot colors...like printing a photo or designs with a ton of color. You'll need an emulsion that can handle waterbased ink, cryocoat or WBP are what I use
I find water based is easier than plastasol best advice get a spray bottle and mist the ink from time to time its not a long term fix but it helps with extending your run times without drying to fast
Question re screens - you say you're keeping some ready to print - How long does the cured emulsion last in storage? Does it harden up / soften or do anything else funky?
They'll last forever in theory. They do get a little more difficult to reclaim later but it's not horrible
Great video, do you make your own sew in tags? Is there a website you order from? Any info would be appreciated
They look amazing 😎👍super speed production
Your work your stamping is my inspiration and motivation with mine that I'm starting now congratulations. from Brazil.
Thanks Lee! Awesome content as usual. When will those shirts be available? You can sign me up for an XL. The quality of the OG 2.0 I got was second to none.
(Even though mine got messed up in shipping, not your fault. I should have ordered more to get one of those sweet new box designs! Thanks again!)
Whenever the new collection drops, I'm not sure exactly when that will be yet. Best to watch the Instagram or sign up for the mailing list on the site, that's how to stay up to date on everything going on.
How did the shipment get messed up? Shoot me an email about it and I'll see if I can fix it somehow
you can cure without warp drive, just iron the print thoroughly after the water has been evaporated.
That might be ok if you're printing like 50-100 shirts a week, not 200-300 a day
Dope video as always you inspire me to start making my own designs. What software do you use to make your t-shirt designs?
Thanks man, glad to hear that. I use adobe illustrator
Ok thank you
Bad ass design and video bro. Love it 👌🤘🤘
Thanks man
Do you use that warp drive stuff with non Ryonet inks? Just curious.. I use exclusively water based inks and hate the long dry times. I have the green galaxy fusion ink system, but prefer to use these aquo-paque inks from our local supplier. I haven’t spoke with them about a cure additive yet.
No I've never tried. In all honesty I don't do much waterbased printing
Hey Lee what kind of printer do you use to print out your films i seen it's an Epson but if you can let me know the model that would be great
It's a p400
You are still our hero.
Great video! Where can u get tag less shirts so I can add my own custom tag like you did?
search for tear away tag shirts. next level has some
What about adding one more screen of black on the top so then the glitch affect is behind the black
The 3 colors mixing make black or at least very close to black, so the 4th screen would be redundant in this case
Lee Stuart but then the colors would only need 1 pass? Just a idea your killing it!
Have you tried misting your ink with a water bottle (one spritz) after you've soft flooded the screen?
It really doesn't do a whole lot except make it slimy. It works better to add a bit of fresh ink
Hi bro
I saw on your label that the shirts are made in mexico,
Where do you buy?
Greetings from Mexico
I am sure someone already said this, but slipstream silicone additive from Ryonet
in reference to the ink drying up on press
What's up man I am a law enforcement officer and looking to start my own clothing line. I work long and crazy hours, would you recommend that I give my designs to a company that has all the equipment needed to make my shirts or just buy my own set up?
If you're already working long hours, then definitely pass it off to an experienced shop. To learn how to make your own stuff properly, then actually making and selling it is a full time job and then some.
T4 thanks brotha
How is that Riley 300 series press? Is the tool less option much better?
You 100% was tool-less micros, no question about it. It's a great press so far
What shirts are you using that don’t have tags?
I have something you might be wanting to do it’s just like this
What brand of plain shirts are you using?
M Vice looks like next level
Will you be puttin content on thirty eight ride co channel?
I will eventually, I just wanted to lock it down in the meantime. Probably stuff about my team riders and things strictly to do with the company will land on there
Mist your water base ink with water every now and then. The water evaporates and caused it to thicken up. The mist willI keep it workable.
Ya that's the only way I could keep it workable in between filming
Hell Yeah bro love that shit, and when is the gloves and goggle shit coming out ...lol jk man cant wait to see it though... keep pushing and doing you !
We got some fire coming 🤘🏻
Gloves and some glasses when you mix the Warp Drive-nasty stuff.
what shirts are you using?
So good
Did you say water based four colour pro? 😫😫😫
What iPad stand is that??
What software are you using for separations?
Adobe illustrator
YOU SHOULD AUTO GRAPH THEM YOUR VERY POPULAR MAKE THEM THE LIMITED EDITIONS BY THE WAY THEY LOOK AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
are you flashing between hits?
Not on 4 color process
@@leestuart38 can you explain why please??
Nice job... 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great vlog sir. Im from manila philippines
hi, anyone knows how can i make those black labels?
Hey, try tu pull for a better coverage
Saludos desde Colombia.

Did you just give me a hidden shout out and call me a legend....lol Jk.. check out the video I did a month ago or so called two color screen print it will show you how to get that cyan color you were looking for just add a little bit of thinned out white to your stock cyan.
Haha you're not the only one, apparently a lot of people are curious about my angle count 😂. I'll have to give that a shot though
Those did not look like CMY at all. I think that's a production issue. I'd contact the manufacturer.
nah it's user error. he did the color order wrong...
Please
Or get an air conditioner
You're outta your mind if you think this place isn't already rocking A/C 😂
Can you show how you did the art work process ex. Color set, halftone, dot rotation etc
No halftones in this one
