the reason it leaks is because you need to use a real threaded pipe at both inlet ant outlet, and put inside the tank a float to shut down when low to not break it or run dry also add pvc one way flows . if you use how you are pvc threaded to the inlet and outlet it will always leak as pre manufacture do not us pvc to these part but add pvc after connection
Put a float switch in your big tank so the little pump if the float switch cuts the power off to the little pump you'll never burn it out again if you run out of water In your big tank
Hi Terry. Unfortunately it won’t draw up water. I use it to pump water through our house from an above ground tank. We do have a water well that is deeper than 400ft., but that is a separate system altogether.
Hi Terry, to get water from a deep well you need something called a submersible pump. It pushes the water up.....suction-type pumps can't get below "vacuum", which corresponds to about 14 psi at sea level, so a "vacuum" can only pull up a column of water that is around 25 ft or something in that neighborhood (the pump can't pull a perfect vacuum, of course). There are also "jet pumps" but they still can't get down to hundreds of feet.
@@usagainsttheworld6833 I just lost my Drummond due to low water in the well. Added a deep well pump, but just installed a new controller with the low pressure cut off. If the pressure drops below the minimum the controller will shut off automatically. All you need to do once water is available is hold the start on the controller and it will reset. Got mine at Tractor Supply for about twenty bucks. A very small price to pay for peace of mind and it will keep you from burning up another pump, be it low water or big leak! Awesome security. I also added a constant pressure system a while back which lets you use the smaller tank, keep good steady pressure and cuts down on pump restarts.
@@lucycats6282 Yes I can. I've used a Square-D Pressure Switch 30/50 with Low Pressure Shut-off. I got mine through Amazon, but found them in Tractor supply, or likely and good plumbing supply place. My well will get too low in summer at times, and this has saved me money as it saves the pump, both submercable of above ground. Notice the bradd reset handle. If it trips or power is interrupted, you turn the lever just enough for the pump to stay and as soon as it has pressure the lever will take over. Mine is Square D FSG2J21M4CP 30/50 PSI Standard Pressure Switch with Low Pressure Cutoff. Hope this helps!
6yrs and I still have fresh water running in our home with NO professional. I guess I should update this video too, as I've since had the time to upgrade to a 35 gal pressurized water tank, filters, and cast iron pump, all enclosed. Again, with NO Professional. Anyone can do this!
HI Troy, so sorry for the late reply. We keep the pump in the back of our house and we can't hear it unless we are standing right next to the wall. I don't have any experience with other pumps, but to me it seems relatively quiet.

Install a low water cut off
Hey Gino, good idea. Looking into that.

How is the motor holding up?
Still giving us excellent pressured water, using the same pump.

These are garbage. Installed one last week. This week, zero pressure. Bladder burst with only 20 PSI. Disgusted.
Years late and mine is still working.
Have this exact model for the last seven years. No complaints.
