@H2o Mechanic any tips for my line pressure gauge reading 21psi? i’ve reset my bladder tank pressure to 38psi (it was about 25lbs i) after verifying my pressure switch is 40/60. I also used the pressure switch cap to cycle the contacts. When i do that the line pressure gauge drops to zero then climbs back to 21psi.

Hello Sir. I have great news! I went back through everything and I took all of the plumbing apart to inspect all of the pipes and fittings. You had mentioned in another video that debris can clog the nipple to the pressure switch. The nipple was clear but because you mentioned debris, I also had a look at the check valve and lo and behold, there was sediment blocking the plunger. I would not have thought about that seeing as though all of the parts were brand new. It's an older well and after seeing the sediment .... now I want to drill a new one. Thank you so much for inspiring me to not give up. I'm a woman in my 50's and love to take on projects like this. Thank you!

I live in southeast GA and my holding tank is a large metal tank and has no air valve on top, it has one in water line between the pump and tank. My neighbor had a well drilled about 3 years ago and has the same thing, should I be concerned about air pressure on my tank?

DUDE!!! This video saved my Christmas!!!! Just went through the big freeze here in CO, and my pressure switch wasn't turning off the pump a couple days ago, so I thought an ice block had formed in the water feed, and I flipped the power off to try and save the pump from burning itself up. We were lower than -10F. Once it got above freezing I kicked the power back on, but no water pressure. I thought more melting probably needed to happen, but eventually I started worrying about the worst, like the pump was ruined or something. I started doing research on the internet for the components in my system, and wasn't getting anywhere. On one of the pages for well pumps was a link to a video. From there was a link to a suggested video on an overview of well pump systems. When I went to watch it, your video was suggested on the side. In your video you show the type of pressure switch I have, with the manual lever on the side. Mine was set to "Auto" with no water pressure showing on my gauge. Once you showed how to hold that lever at a 45 degree to start the pump again, and to hold it until the water pressure got up to 30psi and let off slowly, that was the ticket to get water back in the house! You Rock!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!🎄☃

I want to RECCOMEND this easy to follow video from the best video guy to answer your questions like mine , my water stopped . The last time this happened was when the 2 men I call for help were not Vailable. I'm 73, 74 this Friday, and when I looked to Google I found this wonderful gentleman who taught me how to fix my water easily. I felt like superwoman!!
The men asked, "Heather, you did it yourself!!!?"
All I said was that I found a good teacher and I fixed it myself. No calling a plumber!"
Please, donate if you can when you do as I did and consider the cost it would be if you had not watched his videos!
Sorry I can't until the 2nd... But I will then.
Two times I needed to do the same repair but I didn't write down how to the first time I came here for help.
I did weed through plenty of plumbers who wanted me to believe I needed a plumber if my water stopped when my new washer was filling and I flushed the toilet. This time I found my answer quickly and now that I hopefully have convinced you to at least try it yourself with his easy to follow instructions.
    Sincerely, Heather Newhall-Odden

Wow what an excellent learning experience your video have been. My daughter has a well pump that has gone bad and I needed to learn about well pump system asap. The kids can't afford to pay big bucks for a company to come out. The one guy they had out wasn't much help. I do a lot of stuff, plumbing, electrical etc so I have to give it a try first. I knew nothing at all about these systems but now I feel like I might be able to help her get water back up and running. She has a control box with a capacitor and what appears to be a hard start. The wires around those are all fried. Got new parts coming in and then the next thing is to diagnose why they are fried. If she needs a new pump I'm going to have to go against your advice and get one from Lowe's or home Depot because we don't have the money to buy a top quality one. Heck we don't even know how deep the well is. It's about 400° f in Florida right now so it's going to be fun working all day on this thing without any way to shower if I don't get it done in a day. LOL thank you for being such an excellent teacher. Subscribed!

I just wanted to give you a shoutout. I didn't have a power outage but my well water just suddenly stopped. Flipping the pressure switch immediately fixed the problem and saved me a service call. Now I know to keep an eye on it and replace it if needed. Thanks!

I was literally seconds away from pulling the whole tank out to try to find where the water leak was coming from thinking the bottom of the tank may have rusted out when I thought it might be a good idea to see what the internet had to say about low water pressure. Turned out after I reset my pressure valve, I could see it was a ruptured cooper pipe UNDER the tank in the sub floor that was spewing. But I couldn't tell without water pressure where the leak was at. You saved me at least a day of labor! Thanks bro!

In Alaska we deal with lots iron in the Willow area.
Your videos have saved the day so much. Who knew one could pull a well and clean pump and pull above end of casing.
I wish you'd open a service up here in the Matanuska
Valley area. You don't want to know what well companies and plumbers make in Alaska.😊

Thank You for the video. I used your video to guide me through getting my pump to work. I had a huge ant stuck between the contacts of the pump switch. After clearing the ant out of the contacts, I used the plastic device I had to open and close the contacts you showed in the video. Amazing job sir, thank you.🇺🇲😊

Absolutely brilliantly done. Burnished those pressure switch contacts and away it went. THANK YOU!!!!!! I subscribed.

Hello. THANK YOU for the content of this video!! You SAVED us (my German Shepherd dog, cats, and me)!! I am NOT kidding. We had NO water, and I had NO way to get any, since I moved to a rural area in a county where I know no one.
(I had sold my vehicles, so I had no way to go buy some water, unless I took an expensive taxi ride into town. I could not order water and have it delivered, because I only had cash. I had not been able to get to the bank to make a deposit, so that I could charge for anything online.)
On August 28th, early in the morning, I was having to put ice in the microwave to melt it for my animals to have water, and I was surviving on diet soda. I watched this video, and did what you said to do, and I got the well pump to work. I have had to repeat what I had done to get it going, but it has worked every time. What I have had to do is tap the pipes. There is a box there, but it won't open, so I have tapped the box and the pipes, hoping that one of the taps will "kick it on" again, and it does. Is there some part that has to be replaced?
I know that I might find the answer in this, or another video of yours, but my phone isn't charging, nor holding a charge, very well, and that limits my time of being able to use it to watch any videos (and I don't have internet service out here yet to be able to use my computer).
Thank you in advance for any advice you might have to help me keep the well pump working. Faye

Hmm, now my 40/60 switch won’t switch back on once the pressure drops below 40. What’s the best way to troubleshoot this? My son left the garden hose on, which led to this acting up in the first place.
