Glad attention is being brought to this. One quick note, however: the Rasheed Wallace tech for staring at the ref is absolutely warranted. Anything that could be considered an attempt to intimidate a referee is a technical and can even be grounds for immediate ejection. Before the clip, the referee had told him to stop doing what he was doing, and then when a timeout was called, instead of joining the rest of his team, he chose to continue staring at the ref. Under the rules that is absolutely a fair technical.
One of the suspicious ( seems strategic) trends I’m noticing with some of these games is the timing of foul calls and who they give fouls to. The lakers just beat the grizzlies ( who was really thin with bigs bc of injuries). While grizzlies was the number 2 seed, match up rise the grizzlies was a favorable matchup for the lakers . So how did it work out so well for them? I’m glad I asked. They beat the timberwolves in the play in game. Lose that game and they would have ended up playing the nuggets: a healthier more formidable foe. Hats off to the lakers for winning that game to face the team they likely preferred right? Sure if the suspicious calls were not happening. Who did the refs keep in foul trouble . Karl Anthony Towns who was giving them all types of problems . His plus minus was like Steph and keeping him off the court kept the lakers in the game/striking distance. The timberwolves coach did a solid job of putting him out there here and there despite the foul trouble. So that’s when the other juggernaut came into getting the whole team into foul trouble ( stealing the momentum, frustrating players and making them play timid). The timberwolves were in the bonus with 10 minutes to go in the fourth 😮🤔. So the lakers could chip away at the lead, steal momentum etc So while on face value it looks like the Timberwolves just collapsed the truth is they likely had a lot of help with their folding from the refs . This juggernaut of a weapon is not new. Anyone pay attention that before Kobe’s iconic lob to shaq to help seal the comeback victory over the Portland trailblazers in the west finals, the lakers got a lot of ticky tack fouls. Wait! This seems similar to the Kobe lakers comeback win over the Celtics in game 7 . Back to this year. I believe it was the warriors game 2 loss vs the Kings. The juggernaut seemed to be pulled out in the 3rd quarter. Just like the Timberwolves against the lakers, the warriors were in foul trouble at the 10 minute mark . But why the 3rd quarter ( aren’t the warriors known for their iconic 3rd quarters) Notice the trend?!
This season's officiating across the board has been some of the overall worst I've seen in over a decade, and its not for the usual reasons, either. Its actually because for some reason the officials are now allowed to take a lot of extra time to make calls, so a play can happen, a foul occurs, its obvious, but they'll wait for up to 10 seconds AFTER it transpires to call it, which is AGAINST THE RULES. You either call it outright as soon as you see it, or you don't call it at all. It is based entirely off of confidence/certainty of the call they're making. If they're not sure enough that they hesitate to blow the whistle, they're by the rules not supposed to call those calls. Its that simple. Yet, the NBA is allowing them to take their jolly time in making calls. Its really degrading. And overall in my opinion, Joey Crawford and Scott Foster are the worst of the worst. But now there's no more Joey, and hasn't been for quite a few seasons now. As for Scott? He's still the crew chief of 90% of the games he officiates. And he's infamous for having some weird vendetta against WC teams. I'll never forget the game we (the Blazers) were playing years back before Dame was drafted (I think) against OKC and LaMarsha was going up for a block against KD, and I mean EVERYBODY in Arena, at home, and even down to OKC's own media team and players knew the call Scott made on it as a goaltend was one of the most violating and egregiously wrong calls in history. Everyone was angry with him over that call, and when you even have some OKC players & loyalists noting it was a shit call that they couldn't believe was even made, that tells you EVERYTHING you need to know, too. And man was it a imperative game for both teams, but especially us Blazers. He literally broke our game & thus placement in the playoffs, completely changing everything as a result. I cannot count how many times I've seen him make some of the most absurd, egregious, illogical and plain stupid calls. He's not only the most hated official among players, he is also the most hated official among fans across the league as well, and even plenty of media personnel dislike him too. I just remembered that there was two games so far this year the Blazers have played where there is this female ref who clearly seems to either A) Hate the Blazers or B) has a massive ego issue, becuase of the sheer amount of calls and especially techs she was calling in both games, specifically against our guys. One of them even the players and their broadcasters were straight up confused at most of the calls and consistently going "what the hell was that for?" and "that is a terrible, terrible call, there's just no reason for that kind of nonsense", with a outright sincere apology to Blazer fans for it. That's how crazy this ref got with dishing out techs for the stupidest shit. There was another game where it wasn't just her, but the rest of the refs doing that same shit too - just throwing techs out against both teams in the game on the most weird and simple things that are so far from deserving of a tech to where I was coming unglued for BOTH the Blazers and the other team. I am a Blazers fan always, RipCity first of course, but the main thing I want more than anything is for the officiating to be consistent, fair and make some goddamn sense for once across the board. No bias to any player, staff or teams, no betting, no ego, none of that shit, just doing their jobs as they're supposed to and that's it. Having some goddamn integrity. That's it. Its a simple ask and wish. If only we'd be able to finally get that for once and keep it at that. I ALWAYS call out bad calls, good calls, when things should be no calls, or if they should have made calls when they didn't, both on my own team and all others. That's how much I value and prioritize the right calls and no calls over all else.
Hubby and I call these refs “All eyes on Me” because it seems all they want is attention focused on them! Australian refs are no better if that helps lol RIP Tupac
What I noticed in this year's officiating crew is that Scott Foster has a grudge against the sixers, when the sixers played against the blazers this week, I saw 6 calls that were not actual fouls getting called by scott foster on the sixers whilst the blazers slapped harden in the face and were doing the same thing as th sixers but not getting fouls
Simplest explanation is the true one donaghy wasn’t betting and tippping picks for no reason he was calling games in favor of who he and the mob bet against these guys also aren’t calling these one sided games and picking on players bc there’s a massive grudge problem with officials they’re still rigging games either at a league level or several of these officials are gambling or have a gambling agreement between themselves Scott foster seriously cannot be allowed to officiate games after calling this guy that many times and then officiating Chris Paul the way he does
I don't like this video because he uses the refs the scapegoat for what the NBA tells them to do. These guys don't act in their own. They're told what to do.
It is such an easy fix, give coaches more challenges and let them keep it if they are correct. Have maybe a off court ref at every game who is in charge of overviewing each challenge.
Watching most of the playoff games this year the officials are horrible with the calls they make and the calls they don’t make. You can usually tell which team they want to win and which team they want to lose. Pretty pathetic
Start a petition!!!! I'm tired of this bs. I love basketball, but man, even when the refs favor the team i'm rooting for that shit is just getting corny. Great video!
Donaghy said he wasn't the only one doing the game fixing. Until he reversed course quickly and said he was the only one. Hmmmm, wonder which lie is the truth?
That Rasheed Wallace one is legit though. There's more context to it, but they were like back and forth that game and Wallace was obviously trying to intimidate him by staring him down like that.
I've said a bunch this year, albeit I'm a warriors fan, the officiating isn't even making sense. Like they seems to call some players all the time and some players can never get a whistle
I clicked this randomly thinking it was gonna be some standard conspiracy theory BS but this presents a lot of compelling information. I'm honestly not sure why technology isn't used more in officiating in 2024
Rasheed Wallace was on the target list for NBA officials because he openly called out bad officiating for losing him a shot at a championship in Portland because the NBA wanted a Lakers Final because the Kobe/Shaq Lakers were more marketable in the Finals than the Trail/Jail Blazers in the Finals. The same thing happened to the Bibby/Webber/Divac Kings because the Kobe/Shaq Lakers were more marketable in the Finals than Sacramento. You have the same thing happen in two instances with the Golden State Warriors. In the 2016 Finals, LeBron stepped over Draymond's head after Draymond was knocked to the floor. In reaction to LeBron stepping over his head, Draymond swung at Lebron when he was getting up. On the floor, no foul was called, but after the game, LeBron and the Cavs politicked the League office to get Draymond suspended for Game 5. Because of the suspension handed down by the NBA instead of a gentleman's sweep in Game 5, the NBA got the series to stretch out to Game 7, which they made a ton more money off of. After the Finals Kiki Vandeweghe came out from the League office and admitted that Draymond's actions in Game 4 on the court was not actually a flagrant foul on it's own, but they had to look at other series to upgrade the foul called on the court after the game. Shady as anything. In Game One of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Grizzlies and the Warriors, Draymond was suspended due to two techs in the first half. In the fourth quarter the refs missed at least two calls in the Grizzlies favor the most egregious one being calling a sideline out of bounds call where the ball went off the Grizzlies they called a jump ball instead which ended with Ja Morant's flail at the basket with Klay guarding him to make the game more competitive than it actually was. That game should have ended with FTs for either Steph, Klay, or Poole icing the game away at the charity stripe instead of the flail at the last second by Ja. What do all these examples show? The NBA is a business in making hot dog sales. They want to make as much money as they can, and if they have to, they'll use bad officiating to do it. In the Portland and Sacramento examples, the team with the larger fan base got more preferential treatment by the officials. In the 2016 Finals example the NBA got not only an extra two games, but also a comeback story for the player they have been marketing the entire league around for years with LeBron coming back to win a ring in Cleveland after he ditched Cleveland for Miami to get his first ring. In the 2022 Grizzliies/Warriors Playoffs example the NBA saw an opportunity to fuel hype around an up and coming team and a rivalry with, next to LeBron and the Celtics, the most marketable team in the NBA, the Warriors. It was an opportunity to expand massively another fanbase in a region in the South where football is the main sport people follow as fans. Again, another opportunity to expand the fanbase of the NBA and make more money. It's all consistent in how the NBA operates this way. The question is is how long are we going to allow it to do so?
Although we are making process in renewables, attaining economies of scale in recycling (which is extremely not profitable) is the greatest fundamental hurdle to disrupt and industry that has attainted this multiple decades ago.
This is why I stopped watching nba. Stars got all calls (like Jordan) a foul is only a foul depending on who it is and what time i the quarter it is. Not even hiding it is the sad part.

this kind of bias just isnt allowed to happen in the olympics in ANY sport, including basketball... for the nba to act like this is some insolvable problem is ridiculous
There was one Celtics game where Tatum and the Celtics had like 4 FT shots and the other team had about 22 FTs. He is really getting pissed at the refs recently. It can take you out of your game! Some players do not play good when they get mad! They give the refs way too much freedom and power. They need to change something up.
They need to have an additional ref in a control room with access to all the camera angles and constantly communicating with the floor refs. They would never miss a call if they did it like that
Referees should be replaced by robots/AI as soon as technology permits. This would make officiating far fairer than is humanly possible. It would also benefit players, as they could better calibrate their effort to conform with a more consistent standard of officiating. And as a fan, I'm all for results being determined by who actually plays better instead of the refs biases/whims.
Don’t forget when the raptors played the cavs in the playoffs in 2016 and the raptors went 2 games without a free throw a player even got suspended for one game on a play that was not a “foul” yet it warranted a suspension
With the growing use of AI, all i want it to be able to do is replace the refs of the game. No more refs with racial bias or being distracted by the play or literally watching the play but spacing out or worst of all, "He was moving too fast, I can't see it".
Im glad people aren't just ignoring this. These refs are being ridiculous and totally soft. The NBA needs to put a stop to this.

The Lakers beat the grizzlies and that's it they're sent home chill out
Thank you. Ref work this year has been extraordinarily horrible.
That's why the blazers never get fouled. Old-school beef with Chauncey
Bro the referees should really be fined for making purposefully false calls 😢
Been screaming this for years thanks for the great video
Glad you enjoyed it
This season's officiating across the board has been some of the overall worst I've seen in over a decade, and its not for the usual reasons, either.
Australian refs are no better if that helps lol
RIP Tupac
Its more obvious now than ever that there is an absolute bias from the refs.
Obviously Stern was involved...
A ref could literally be fixing a game and they'll still call it better than Joey Crawford.
Scott foster has a grudge against players
@@kevinkruse88 against harden that’s for damn sure
Thats bc Embiid gets all the calls, so you cant have Harden getting calls too. It'd be unfair
Embiid shot only 18 free throws that game
It's Harden. He's gotten a million easy calls over his career. I agree though, officiating sucks.
@@MiloZus CP3 too
ill say it again, they need to fine refs for bad calls
Simplest explanation is the true one donaghy wasn’t betting and tippping picks for no reason he was calling games in favor of who he and the mob bet against these guys also aren’t calling these one sided games and picking on players bc there’s a massive grudge problem with officials they’re still rigging games either at a league level or several of these officials are gambling or have a gambling agreement between themselves Scott foster seriously cannot be allowed to officiate games after calling this guy that many times and then officiating Chris Paul the way he does
The refs just do what the NBA tells them!
I don't like this video because he uses the refs the scapegoat for what the NBA tells them to do. These guys don't act in their own. They're told what to do.
💯
Exactly. Employees always follow their bosses. Period!
this is why you are one of the top basketball analysis channels on youtube
Video is trash - throwing the ball at the stantion is a tech!!
Don't like it?? Don't do it!!
the way you transition videos is awesome keep it up
It is such an easy fix, give coaches more challenges and let them keep it if they are correct. Have maybe a off court ref at every game who is in charge of overviewing each challenge.
That thumbnail you put up for this video is perfect !!!!
Watching most of the playoff games this year the officials are horrible with the calls they make and the calls they don’t make. You can usually tell which team they want to win and which team they want to lose. Pretty pathetic
6:50 thought that guy was Richard Jefferson dressed up as a ref 😂
Start a petition!!!! I'm tired of this bs. I love basketball, but man, even when the refs favor the team i'm rooting for that shit is just getting corny. Great video!
"IT'S THE FACT!" 💀💀💀
bro, you're really good at this.
Donaghy said he wasn't the only one doing the game fixing.
Until he reversed course quickly and said he was the only one.
Hmmmm, wonder which lie is the truth?
At the beginning of the year all the players should vote to decide who refs for that season
I love this channel man.. i love conspiracies… keep it coming man…
Perkins had me dead lmao☠☠☠
Great vid, no one else has takes like this. Their just reading headlines we already read.
Refs went from “and I took that personally” to “I take everything personally”
Game 6 2016 was the game more selling that I've ever seen , just to have a game 7 and for that they have the game 7 more seen in nba history .
I think it's time to punish refs publicly. As a fan I am exhausted by all of the ridiculous techs and ejections
That Rasheed Wallace one is legit though. There's more context to it, but they were like back and forth that game and Wallace was obviously trying to intimidate him by staring him down like that.
Here after Raptors vs Lakers. He was right.
I've said a bunch this year, albeit I'm a warriors fan, the officiating isn't even making sense. Like they seems to call some players all the time and some players can never get a whistle
i’ve said this before. eventually a team is going to leave an arena and then it’s gonna be a real problem and every other franchise will follow.
My high school team did that once. But then we get threatened with fines so we made our way back onto the court.
Yes, players are weak and seek any excuse not to play...
I have a bigger problem with the officiating ignoring carries, giving fouls if you breathe on a guy, etc.
The question is is how long are we going to allow it to do so?
i really love ur story telling way
great job and great channel
Although we are making process in renewables, attaining economies of scale in recycling (which is extremely not profitable) is the greatest fundamental hurdle to disrupt and industry that has attainted this multiple decades ago.
This is why I stopped watching nba. Stars got all calls (like Jordan) a foul is only a foul depending on who it is and what time i the quarter it is. Not even hiding it is the sad part.
Learned so many new things from this video. Great stuff!!
you don’t know NBA RuleBook, A player are not allowed to Intentionally or forcefully, throw or kick the ball against Basket Support for any reason, any Violation of This Rule, will result in a technical Foul, this is a new rule for this season, Remember Vanfleet he throw it, and that is against the rules.
Perk "it's the facs" 🤣
All season some of the calls have been bad. I just hope this year's playoffs don't get affected.
This ref hates the Raptors he is a golden state fan obviously
With legalized gambling, I am almost 100% sure there is corrupt refs betting on games, or having someone do so by proxy.
This well done, I just subscribed. Keep up the good work.
Players should do a lockout until this ref issue is addressed. So many horrible calls recently.
this kind of bias just isnt allowed to happen in the olympics in ANY sport, including basketball... for the nba to act like this is some insolvable problem is ridiculous
I get it that some refs have beef with players. Imagine you're a ref and the same player is always questioning your decision and being a nuisance.
Tim Donaghy was the lone corrupt ref. Good thing the NBA fixed that problem!
Isaiah Livers tech vs the Pacers was a joke😂 horrible refs
NBA needs to be investigated by FBI for game rigging.
Lmao cause the FBI isn’t corrupt at all😂😂😂
That Steven Angel fact is chilling
Ben Taylor to vanvleet is what Scott foster is to cp3 lmao
I like how they are clips of horrible calls in the background 🤣🤣
I’m surprised that every ref doesn’t have a personal vendetta against CP3.
There was one Celtics game where Tatum and the Celtics had like 4 FT shots and the other team had about 22 FTs. He is really getting pissed at the refs recently. It can take you out of your game! Some players do not play good when they get mad! They give the refs way too much freedom and power. They need to change something up.
If this is true, it's a shame on the NBA.
Havent watched NBA game in years cuz of this and I probably won't ever again unless it's at a bar
They need to have an additional ref in a control room with access to all the camera angles and constantly communicating with the floor refs. They would never miss a call if they did it like that
calls arent being missed, they are being figmented
It’s in the rule book, if a player throws the ball off the stantion it’s an automatic T
Man, some of those NBA refs... Idk what kind of game they think they're officiating, but it isn't basketball.
Ja Morant point your red lasers at the...
Hey dude could you do a March madness bracket video like you did last year
Thanks
Scott Foster called a questionable tech down the stretch last week. Who calls a tech with 20 seconds left.
At some point, this has to be addressed!
THE BEST BASKETBALL RUclips CHANNEL!!!!!
Just subscribed, really good stuff, I had forgotten about Foster.
Thanks for the sub!
