      3 x All NBA
      2 x All Star
      2 x Eastern Conference Champion
      1 x ECF MVP
      1 x Steals Leader
      Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Mourning, Shaq, Hardaway, Udonis. Those are the only players who are comparable and its arguable Hardaway didn't do as much for the Heat as Jimmy has.

He's one of the greatest players in Heat history and can be a valuable presence for young players during their inevitable rebuild.     Shaq is an absolute airhead. Basketball players are afforded a priveledge to get paid millions of dollars to play a game. You might not like the contract that you signed but YOU signed it and are expected to live up to it on and off the court. That means show up on time to the plane and practice. Negotiations can still be had but that shouldn't affect your commitment to the contract YOU signed and the players you are sweating with and the players that are depending on you.

      We can string a bevy of excuses for anything to try to substantiate why a given person did not make it into the league. In order to be an NBA player, you fundamentally need two things: mental wherewithal and physical prowess. If you have those two, you will find a way to get noticed. Just that simple.

    Shaq’s argument is entirely revolving around enabling greed. Shaq thinks if a player is a max contract player, that warrants a maximum contract even AFTER they are done putting up all star/all nba numbers.

      I'm honestly surprised players don't play out the contract as hard as they can even if they want out. It would show other teams that hey I may not want to be here eventually but I'll still try my hardest to finish what I did promise prior. They need to put in the contracts that if players hold out they lose the money from that point on.       -- Butler is a great player, Top 25-ish. But at 35yo, he's on the decline. I mean, he could be worth $40-45M/year on the extension but $55M for a guy who avg 60 games/year AND may not be available in the playoffs?
