I worked at McDonalds 30 years ago, and the fry station is almost identical now as it was then. I forgot about the satisfying backhanded flick of the fries with the shovel. Thanks.
Respect to Stephen for giving customers what they pay for. At my local McD's you might as well order a small fry because they really don't put any more than that in the large box!
I wish my McD fries came out fresh like that. Every time I order I always ether get stale or limp fries that look like they’ve been under the headlamp for 2 hours.
I'm glad your McDonald's still has the red cardboard boxes for fries. Most of the McDonald's near me have switched to paper pouches (like the small fries) for medium and large too, and the sizes are smaller than they used to be. The new large is only slightly bigger than the old medium.
I recently applied to work at McDonalds and I'm starting next week I have used your videos as like a info dump on how to make certain burgers and stuff and how to do it
pay more attention to his little tricks and time savers, they help more. Especially the way and speed at which he wraps. Just make sure you get the order accurate then work on speed
Me low-key wanting to work at his Mcdonald's location now because I really love the energy and atomsphere it gives off and how nice all emploeeyes are treated. ❤ The ones I used to work at were not so nice locations.. 😅😢 and they mistreated certain/some people who worked there. Esp the recently hired ones ./ I have one waiting for me when I move again, but, that's not for a couple more months - 😶💀
Can you please do a video on all the prep, like preparing the slivered onions, iceberg shredded lettace, crinkle cut pickles, tomatoes, and dill pickle slices?
Thanks for the uploads Stephen. It's really cool to get a look into the inner workings of McDonalds! Congratulations on all the success and we appreciate all your uploads.
Takes me back to the days when I worked at McDonald’s and ran the fry station. Was always hectic when it was busy, hard to keep up when it was busy but I enjoyed it.
Last time I had McDonald's, my large fry containers were only partially full. I exclaimed to myself that the restaurant could have added another fifteen fries to each one.
Darn, I love fries. I love it much more than burgers or something else. Usually, when I eat some fast food at such places -- I order only fries, something to drink and chicken (nuggets or like that), about some weeks ago I tried to taste cheeseburger, very casual one, and I like it! Not a big fan of fast food, but still.
Gadzooks, Stephen!!! You're making me hungry with all those fries! Lol I could NEVER work at McDonalds...I wouldn't be able to resist the urge to eat some of the food lol
This is one of my favorite stations to work because no matter what your always working there barely any breaks in the action and it kind of of like little mini game
I clicked on this so fast cause I was hoping to find the optimal time for fries. I hate when I get them and they are so hot and hard. I also hate when they've been sitting too long and they are cold. In either of those two situations, they are really hard to digest. The sweet spot is when they are warm but slightly soggy and soft with crisp edges. Because it soaks up all the salt and flavor. They taste delicious that way. Like they're not overcooked and they haven't just been sitting around forever.
Your vats need cleaning! Awesome to see one of my favorite stations. And one thing we were always yelling is "You take em, drop em!" Meaning i would make different sizes and fill the rack but at times i had to move away from the station so the person that took the last pre made had to drop fries.
I sure wish I could figure out why my local fast food places are ALWAYS missing items from an order. It's not just one place either. They ALL are horrible. I'm getting real tired of spending money and then finding something missing. Oh you ordered 2 hashbrowns? How about we just give you 1. Oh you ordered a drink, well how about no straw. To top it off, McDonald's doesn't even have an option in their app to report an order being wrong, missing items, etc. The whole reason for ordering in the app is to make it harder for employees to screw my order up.
I have orientation on the 9th, I’m 16 and it’ll be my first job ever. I’ve been binge watching these videos and POS trainings for the past couple of days 😭
@@gorouw2534 I just got done typing out my whole experience on the McDonald’s employee subreddit lol, but it went well! Weird, a bit unprofessional too if I’m being honest. But my co-workers were all kind and super funny. I just got home from my first shift a few hours ago! First and only thing I learned so far is fries. I go in again tomorrow for my second training day :)
Still hoping to visit one of your Restaurants at some point. Just don't know where to go. The Mcd's in HellLA, that use to be by a massive underpass homeless encampment demolished and it is two stories now so I'm guessing it went corporate run. Better than it was, but yours looks more consistant.
Question.. why cant you fill that thing up with fries instead of just 1 cage thing of fries every time? Yall get in trouble? Cus i would dump like 6 cages of fries at a time.

Oh wow, another legend right here.
If it ain't McBroke, don't McFix it!
Respect to Stephen for giving customers what they pay for. At my local McD's you might as well order a small fry because they really don't put any more than that in the large box!
Same here, both locations in my hometown you get about half a box of staleness.
It’s always awesome when you get fresh fries that were just made.
I always order them without salt
And put the salt on them myself

You can ask for fresh fries, only takes 3 mins
@@bct_planespotter5598 I thought about that, I just didn’t want to come off as rude if I asked them lol.
The contrast between fresh McDonald’s fries and cold McDonald’s fries is indescribable.

they filled these up only because it was being filmed
@@suave-rider I dunno, they usually do get filled up but the packages seem to get smaller.

Thanks for the vid. I'd like to see a video of the grill being cleaned. :)

Love the videos. I'd love to see a video dedicated to the grills - hamburgers, etc. Maybe even during breakfast. Thank you!

Stephen, you should also make a fried products pov that’s longer than six minutes. I really enjoyed watching that.
It's amazing how these fries are so amazing when they are hot and fresh yet turn to Styrofoam if left in the fridge overnight.
That’s everything tho
Probably because of the salt lmao
Lmfao
Love the fry station 😊

Now at McDonalds, I just listen for the beeping and employee commotion at the kitchen. Just so calming sometimes to see humans in their daily lives.

rookie cooks usually cook more than needed so it gives them a cushion. or they dont care
Nice video ❤ love fries Stephen Paula
McD's needs to just start offering their fries in bucket size. Even large really never gets the job done.
Basket*. I travel extensively for work and only certain locations do it. It’s the easiest way to ensure you get hot fries.
Keep it up Stephen! 👍👍👍
Bad idea watching this…now I want to cheeseburgers and a fry.
At least this guy fills those fries up to the top. Can't stand when they give you like half.
This like AMSR

I've seen white castle experiment with the fully automated fry robot. Any plans for robots at MCDs?
Here in my area, they often stop at the first scoop. Would be a delight if the workers here scoops as abundantly as you do, man.
Hey Stephen! Every time I watch your videos, I order something from McDonald's ;)
Regards from Warsaw in Poland ;)
How often do you clean or replace the oil?
I wish I knew where I could get that salt dispenser, that’s so cool
Watching this gets me curious, how often do you guys change the frying oil?
Love to see more frying station
I have never gotten a fry from Mcdonalds that was as full as you fill them Stephen 😂 I swear at my local store they are always half full at best

all the dropped fries and nuggets nyoo :( specially the one stepped on constantly sadge

Woah. Two episodes within a week.
My local McDonald's has a bad habit of pinching the fry container to keep you from getting the full amount.
Wow! That fryer oil looks like really old used motor oil 😂😂
Really craving some fresh fries from mcdonalds

Love McD's fries, only suggestion is have chicken salt like in Australia as an option.
P.S. - the small fry box looks like a thimble.
And usually it's only got five fries in it. He's filling them much more than they are at all the other locations I've been to.
McDonald fries is the best taste ever

Geeze that McDonalds is rolling, theres like 9-10 people back there just to keep it going
1 basket provides 5 medium servings of fries.
Just a question: how many tons of fries does McDonald's sell in a year?
Got an interview at McDonalds tomorrow, looks really fun from what I'm seeing in your videos so I hope I pass!!

why is there a mirror behind the fry rack?

The fries eventually get old if you cook too many at a time so he’s doing small batches so they stay fresh
You threw the cold fries in with the hot fries....why ????
