Like the way she explains everything. There are not much videos with good content related to anesthesia assistants or technicians on YT. HOPE SHE KEEP UPLOADING LIKE THIS 💉🖤
Your videos are fantastic! Please continue to make more. I’m a Respiratory Therapist and I have been debating my next move. I’m fairly certain that AA is my direction as the critical care and airway experience relates. I’m looking forward to seeing more of you! Thanks for all you’re doing.
i love your vids! you are practically the only youtuber that shows an actual workday. everyone else just explains before and after the workday and don’t film while at the hospital (ik bc of hippa but content😮💨)
Kinda been looking into a trade that doesn't require a lot of schooling and stumble over the job description and went to RUclips type it in and your channel... PLEASE MAKE MORE I'm super intrigued by this
Sally D. Hoang i didn’t know there was an AA and when I saw your first video, i was so interested in this career! I want to know how much do AA make? What does it take to become an AA?
Thank you! Keep it up! Appreciate the content! It helps people who may want to join the field know what they are getting into. Also the videos are well edited and entertaining. Might start my own channel about my journey.
I appreciate the videos, very informative. Do you ever feel like cases and your job responsibilities are mundane? like induction, airway, rinse and repeat. or you feel like your job offers plenty of variety in what you do day to day?
Can you open your own pain clinic? Also how much autonomy do you have in terms of clinical practice? I am considering going the BSN route to CRNA, but honestly I’m very conflicted.
Is this a call shift in addition to a regular work schedule, or do you work a certain number of 24s a week. I am considering becoming an aa, and was wondering if working two 24s a week was possible? I am curious as to what your work shifts are if u don’t mind sharing? I find it appealing to work some longer shifts so I can either have a bunch of days off or rake in some ot
This is part of my regular 40 hours. It depends on where you work and what the employer needs are. I work a combination of 12+12+16 or 16+24 I totally agree. I’m all for longer work days to get it out of the way.
Will Respiratory Therapist experience help increase your chances of acceptance to a AA program? I’ve been debating between AA and CRNA. I have a few classes left until I am done with my health sciences degree and I am currently a RRT.
Love the videos! Please keep making them. You’re keeping me focused on my goal! Ahh! Very in depth, informative, and well edited. Increased views plus subscribers and you’ll have passive income! ;) I’ll support you the whole way.
Great video subscribed 👍. I was wondering what the job outlook of this career looks like. I heard some people say it's a dying career while others say it has a very high job growth
I'm currently a pre-med student looking to apply to AA school next cycle. Does Emory allow people to shadow? If they do, do you know the process of being a shadow in Anesthesia?
Hello, I was wondering for the shifts that you work 12:12:16 are you able to work on weekends for those or are there restrictions toons. Thank you so much 😊
Hi Sally, I'm thinking about studying anesthetic technology to be an anesthetic technician, what's the difference between an Anesthesiologist Assistant? are they the same? Thanks!
Hey! An anesthesiologist tech helps us with inventory and turns over the OR for us. An anesthesiologist assistant is more clinical and is involved with direct patient care. They are definitely not the same position.
Can you please offer interview advice/tips? I have my interview for AA school next week and I’m super nervous as to what to expect! Also, do you get paid salary or do you get paid for each case?
Where I'm at, long sleeve undershirts are not allowed. I wear scrubs and a scrub jacket and I'm good. Lots of preceptors will grab warm blankets for themselves.
Hey! Welcome! I’m not too familiar with ODPs in the United States. I would say it’s similar to a PA as far as working under the supervision of an MD. But in terms of tasks, it’s similar to a CRNA but not identical.
Hey im Areesha. I m from Pakistan i m doing bs anesthesia technology, want to ask you that do anesthesiologist need to do MBBS or not????....... Moreover what does an anesthesia technologiest do in OT?? Kindly clear this!
I updated my phone and all my videos are still loading from the cloud 😭 I’ve also been really busy I’m sorry but I’m way more active on Instagram. Check out my stories
How much do AA's make? Also, Is it easy to find jobs, because I see more CRNA job postings than AA's and im kind of concerned. Do you have an email where I can email you questions about being an AA, because i have tons lol
AAs and CRNAs make around the same amount in salary. The difference is that CRNAs were originally RNs(Nurses) and they transitioned to CRNA which requires a Masters Degree. Most Nurses have a BSN(Bachelors in Nursing) You could say that CRNAs is better because they already have experience working in hospitals as Nurses in anywhere they do so they interact and take care of patients better. AAs make slightly more but CRNAs are basically a fusion of Nurse + Anesthesiologist Assistant as one. I know because I was once interested in the field.
The CRNA program is now a doctoral degree (3 years +) and CRNA and AA make roughly around the same amount except CRNA make slightly more. Also, AA are able to work in only 14 states (this can change in the near future), whereas CRNA can work in all 50 states. That’s probably why you see more job opening for CRNA instead.

Hello,
I was wondering for the shifts that you work 12:12:16 are you able to work on weekends for those or are there restrictions toons. Thank you so much 😊
Do you ever work in the operating room when the patient is under? Or do you just set up?
I’m in the OR from beginning to end of the surgery. I can’t show it because Of rules and regulations.
Hi Sally, I'm thinking about studying anesthetic technology to be an anesthetic technician, what's the difference between an Anesthesiologist Assistant? are they the same? Thanks!

Good luck!!! Check my Ig post for interview advice. We get paid salary/hourly.
When you’re in the OP room can you wear something underneath your scrubs? I hear it gets cold in there. Great content, keep up the good work :)
Where I'm at, long sleeve undershirts are not allowed. I wear scrubs and a scrub jacket and I'm good. Lots of preceptors will grab warm blankets for themselves.
Hiya, I'm sure you've probably mentioned this before (I'm new here :) ) I was wondering if you're an ODP or an anesthesia PA?

Hey im Areesha. I m from Pakistan i m doing bs anesthesia technology, want to ask you that do anesthesiologist need to do MBBS or not????.......

You should make a video on what u did for undergrad
She did pre med because she wanted to be some type of surgeon/doctor but then switched to AA
All u have to do is undergrad with a major science focus and then apply to AA
I’m an undergrad considering becoming an AA. Looks like you work in a hospital. Do you know if there are many private jobs available for an AA?
There are outpatient centers where CAAs can work!
What do you usually pack in your bag for lunch.
Where you are working. Which country
Bscanesthesia is Comfortable and good for girls please tell me
Is the pay as lucrative compared to a CRNA???
AAs cap out around $167,000 while CRNAs well into the $200,000s. AAs can only work in 12 states though…
Wonder why she stopped uploading videos
I updated my phone and all my videos are still loading from the cloud 😭 I’ve also been really busy I’m sorry but I’m way more active on Instagram. Check out my stories
