I definitely have a Numenor feeling for this show. I just hope it doesn't turn into GoT with LOTR. I don't need unnecessary sex and blood inserted into my Tolkien. If so well, I'll just turn it off, but I digress. :P
It's probably going to be woke garbage like everything else these days. They've done that to Star Trek, Star Wars, and now they just did it with the Terminator franchise. Now it's Lord of the Rings turn.

I have a number of problems with the theatrical cuts, but I love the extended editions. I think many of the deleted scenes that were in the extended editions were great and really added to the film; like Thrain and more Beorn.
I, who admires Dwarves, think this song shows what Dwarves are in a perfect way. like, that metal sound or yelling in the background and lyric, saying 'never forget' or 'never forgive' and 'Gold' god I love this song.

The Best comentary for ever! hahahaha How you, i'm waiting gandalf to take me for an extraordinary adventure! I expect go back whole and alive. Good Luck in your adventure!
No, Gandalf started it all.* Without his meddling the dwarves would not have cause Sauron to move early, and the ring would not have taken its chance to leave Gollum after decades to centuries within those tunnels. Also it was Frodo that ended it, not Aragorn - and even then only after Gollum stopped him from outright blowing the whole thing by putting the ring on right under Sauron's nose! *you could make the argument that Isildur started it with his weakness, and Elrond compounded it with his unwillingness to rush Isildur and chuck it in himself.
" Song of the Lonely Mountain " Far over the Misty Mountains rise Leave us standing upon the height What was before we see once more Is our kingdom a distant light Fiery mountain beneath a moon The words unspoken, we'll be there soon For home a song that echoes on And all who find us will know the tune Some folk we never forget Some kind we never forgive Haven't seen the back of us yet We'll fight as long as we live All eyes on the hidden door To the Lonely Mountain borne We'll ride in the gathering storm Until we get our long forgotten gold We lay under the Misty Mountains cold In slumbers deep, and dreams of gold We must awake, our lives to make And in the darkness a torch we hold From long ago when lanterns burned Until this day our hearts have yearned A fate unknown, the Arkenstone What was stolen must be returned We must awake at break of day To find our song for heart and soul Some folk we never forget Some kind we never forgive Haven't seen the end of it yet We'll fight as long as we live All eyes on the hidden door To the Lonely Mountain borne We'll ride in the gathering storm Till we get our long forgotten gold Far away the Misty Mountains cold
I love all the LOTR Movies, there is nothing better then to curl up on a cold day and watch 9 hours and then the next day watch another 9 hours. Best Movies ever made
I always find it incredible how a single gem called the Arkenstone started one of the best fictional series of all time :) Middle Earth shall never die!!
Middle Earth will live in the hearts of men. From LOTR to The Hobbit, the motion pictures has touched many people, world audience. I look forward to seeing more of the middle earth's amazing characters!
SgtPrice1000 You should read the Silmarillion. It's basically about how three jewels (Silmaril)startet a gigantic war between the Valar (Gods) and Morgoth (Satan/also Valar), the destruction of a whole continent (Beleriand), the rise of the empire of Gondor, Arnor and Rohan, the outcast of thousands of elves from the land of the Gods (Aman) and literally everything that happened in The Hobbit and LotR.
Goosebumps even after years of this movie!! This song is such an art! Also a great motivation to stick together as a group and brave these tough times!! Loved listening it again!!
The movies (Hobbit & LOTR) were so beautiful back then. I felt like it was real and I'm on the adventures with them. Unforgettable journey we had together💕.
"we'll fight as long as we live" that was a dominant trait among all the races of middle earth whether it be the hobbits, the elves, the Rohirrim, the men of Gondor and it was the most dominant in Durin's folk and the Dúnedain who both survived against all odds
The first time I´ve watched the Hobbit, the sudden ending caught me off-guard, like probably most of other people. At first, I was angry because I´ve had to wait way more time to see the actual ending. Yet, it was well worth it. Many people hate the fact that PJ made 3 movies instead of one, but I´m glad he gave us three times the amount of epicness, instead of just one! I know many people will be angry at me because of this comment, but I don´t care. Long live the Hobbit trilogy!!!
i like it better in a trilogy too. sure there were a lot of "filler" like things to add length to the movie, but it wasnt so bad. if you put it all in a single movie, there are things that we will not be able to feel. that great feeling when you fall inlove with the characters, the impact of thorin having dragon sickness trusts only bilbo, legolas' unrequited love, thorin dying while the birds came and many more. the emotions cant fit with one movie.
+Gui Caldo I just loved going back to middle earth and I think PJ just knows how to capture that feeling. and altough I think the lotr trilogy is like another league I still really like and enjoy the hobbit trilogy. it's a diffrent story shot in a diffrent time of course it's going to be different but as long as I have the feeling of coming home into that world I love, I don't care.
+yamada San I think what many people forget or ignore is that the book has probably even more in it happening than the movies, it is simply that Tolkien did not spend much words on it respectively in some cases only stated that Bilbo had many more adventures.
inotaishu1 And that´s what I didn´t like about Lord of the Rings, and Hobbit, and old adventure books as a whole: There´s little to no descritpion of the events in it. They rather describe the appearence of every single place they go, or every single step of their journey, but just get over the danger situations or other interesting scenes in a rush, or skip them completely.
I rather watch the full nine-ten hours of The Hobbit movies (extended edition blueray) one after another, than watching a single minute of any one of the Twilight movies. The Hobbit - awesome story with an awesome epic soundtrack to match.
M. - Sophie Franke Yes. I feel the same due to the fact that Mr. Tolkien wrote intensively LOTR, more detailed, so the LOTR series had more to work with. Whereas, The Hobbit is based on a childrens' book, which has very little detail to work with. Though many who read the books thoroughly would state that there were plenty to work with, such as the eagles talking and such. Anyways, thank you for your response.
At first I thought you were going to say you'd rather watch the 9 hours than the Lord of the Rings. I was going to have to dislike this comment. Not because the Hobbit is bad, but because I'd want to watch both.
I love the bit at the end when the one dwarf says "well that could have been worse" in relief then the corpse of the goblin king lands on them. Classic.
To all Lord of the Rings fans! Do we want this movie back in the theaters again? Do we want to feel they joy that we had back then? Do we want the nostalgia back in our souls? Do we want to make more people happy for what we have had back then? If The Titanic will reappear in 3D why not as well The Lord of the Rings? Great speech XP, but there's still plenty of Middle earth's story wich have never been told, there's no need for a remake, they can still tell about the silmarillion or the children of hurin etc #its also in the same world as LOTR
Damn i love this song of middle Earth and the whole mythology. Tolkien you my friend were a Genius and in the words of Lennon a Dreamer.....But Not The Only ONE!!
Absolutely nothing wrong with this song. Much like the first trilogy's credit songs, such as Enya's May it Be from the Fellowship of the Ring, this song is just simply powerful.
So sad they're not making any more. This movie changed my life. The whole film(s?) are just so beautiful. Small and weak creatures that never wanted anything to do with the outside world go up against the ultimate evil and manage to win. It's really inspiring. 😃😭

Here in 2018!! Even after all this time, I still adore the Hobbit Trilogy. It is something that I won't ever forget and something that impacted me. Middle Earth will be forever in my heart.
I can't say that I've watched a whole lot of movies, or listened to a whole lot of songs, but out of the ones that I have, this is the one time that have ever gotten goosebumps. The movie finished, and this song started, but when the chorus begun, I got chills, dropped what I was doing and just stopped. While people say The Hobbit movies weren't as good, I think that they are forgetting the soundtracks from it.
The soundtracks are pretty much the only things I like about the films. Maybe the other thing are the actors. They all did great with what they were given. The third movie is an abomination though 😭
Know the feel... It was a holiday tradition for 3 years in a row for us to go see the next Hobbit movie, and it just feels like the tradition ended too soon :(
So beautiful and soulful... I first read the hobbit when I was 18 and should have been revising to sit my exams. It was a page turner. Took me a lot longer to read Lord of the Rings. Some of the finest fantasy fiction ever written.
That would be wonderful. But it would really suck if they made it 16 miles across like they did Skyrim. The game was good and all, but Middle Earth deserves WAY more than that. I'm thinking more like 150ish. Just to grasp the scale and wonder of Middle Earth; From the Withered Heath to Erebor, and from the Isles of the Valinor to the very fires of Mordor. :)
Yes, I have. But WoW isn't Middle Earth. It's Kalimdor, the Eastern Kingdoms, and Pandaria. And it's chuck-full of cities, factories, auction houses, and giant structures. That's all well and good, it's a fantastic game; but that's not Middle Earth. Tolkien's world has a more natural beauty, rather than the fires of industry like WoW. Middle Earth is a bit more untouched by mortals. I've got nothing against WoW, but it would be an injustice to put the two in the same league.
That would be a very valid statement, good sir. WoW has got a humongous open world. Just still wairing for that realistic Middle Earth. I don't think gaming companies realize how much they could bank on a game like this!
I love the „Ey ey ey yaa“ in the backround. They give this song some Native American spirit. Would like to sing this with many people around a big camp fire!
They r coming out with 2 new movies from JRR Tolkein's older bk's. I was xcited 2 c they r going 2 do this. I wrote & told those n charge we need 2 c more!
"Save the best for last". Dieser Song ist meiner Meinung nach das Beste am ersten Teil vom Hobbit, und ich finde den ersten Teil vom Hobbit richtig gut!
I miss it so much. It is a peaceful thought that I can rewatch it again and again. It brings so much joy and kind feelings of friendship and adventures...things that we all miss and desire.
Niel Finn is so amazing! Wonderful voice and such sensitivity, no matter what he is singing, from the Split Enz to Crowded House to this! I love how this song sounds so Moody Blues, very much like the songs on "To Our Children's Children's Children". CooL!
+werewarwolf3366 this?? Really? I mean it is your opinion, but personally I find the LotR much better. But I read The Hobbit the book and yes, that can be called a masterpiece :)
Eddard Stark Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North i think you completely misunderstood my words, LOTR is indeed the greatest film of all, since the director is the same. but why you people always compare this to LOTR? dont be that idiot.
+The Shadow Master did you notice in the first movie of the hobbit the start shows frodo traveling to the woods. in the first Lord of the rings it shows him in the woods. what a coincidence😜😜😜😜
No matter how many times I listen to this, I still get goosebumps. I always imagine a group of about 20+ people in a random talent show, giving a mesmerizing performance of this song; which I've imagined all in vivid detail. It's a shame I don't have the talent to pull it off -_-
I will NEVER get enough of Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit! Every time I get to choose what movie to watch it’s LOTR or the Hobbit, I miss all the characters sooo much!!!! I wish I saw the premiere irl or got to meet any of the cast
Has a very Native American theme, absolutely love it. Makes me feel so good inside too, I love this version, I love The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings!
My mom told me that if I do good in Highschool (no C's) she will take me anywhere in the world. My first choice was obviously New Zealand. Peter Jackson convinced me with LOTR.
I recall a huge book of amazing pencil drawings and colored artwork from or for "The Hobbit" that I purchased in a used book store way back in 1978 and somewhere along life's journey, that huge book of mine vanished (I believe a family member stole it when all of my personal belongings were stored at my parents home while I traveled for 25+ years) and I would gladly give just about anything I currently possess to have that book back in my hands again. I'm convinced one day it will turn up, as I only have 2 siblings left (there were ten of us) still breathing and I'm convinced if I out-live those 2, I will eventually get my book back???!!! It's pretty sad when your own kin steals from you!

Far over the Misty Mountains rise
Leave us standing upon the height
What was before we see once more
Is our kingdom a distant light
Fiery mountain beneath a moon
The words unspoken, we'll be there soon
For home a song that echoes on
And all who find us will know the tune
Some folk we never forget
Some kind we never forgive
Haven't seen the back of us yet
We'll fight as long as we live
All eyes on the hidden door
To the Lonely Mountain borne
We'll ride in the gathering storm
Until we get our long forgotten gold
We lay under the Misty Mountains cold
In slumbers deep, and dreams of gold
We must awake, our lives to make
And in the darkness a torch we hold
From long ago when lanterns burned
Until this day our hearts have yearned
A fate unknown, the Arkenstone
What was stolen must be returned
We must awake at break of day
To find our song for heart and soul
Some folk we never forget
Some kind we never forgive
Haven't seen the end of it yet
We'll fight as long as we live
All eyes on the hidden door
To the Lonely Mountain borne
We'll ride in the gathering storm
Till we get our long forgotten gold
Far away the Misty Mountains cold

The soundtracks are pretty much the only things I like about the films. Maybe the other thing are the actors. They all did great with what they were given. The third movie is an abomination though 😭
The best version i've ever heard so far
seems like only yesterday these movies were being released for the 1st time. It's been 4 damn years :(
Know the feel... It was a holiday tradition for 3 years in a row for us to go see the next Hobbit movie, and it just feels like the tradition ended too soon :(
Try the original LotR. Fellowship came out when I was ten. Four years is nothing.
tophholland same here :D although to me it doesnt feel that long ago.. :-)
I know this feeling. 😫
The feels man. One of the best movie. Nah, it wasnt a movie, it was a journey!
Probably one of the best end credits theme in movie history.
So beautiful and soulful... I first read the hobbit when I was 18 and should have been revising to sit my exams. It was a page turner. Took me a lot longer to read Lord of the Rings. Some of the finest fantasy fiction ever written.
Guys imagine a lord of the rings game as open world as skyrim
That would be wonderful. But it would really suck if they made it 16 miles across like they did Skyrim. The game was good and all, but Middle Earth deserves WAY more than that. I'm thinking more like 150ish. Just to grasp the scale and wonder of Middle Earth; From the Withered Heath to Erebor, and from the Isles of the Valinor to the very fires of Mordor. :)
Zachary Hunter Pssst, guys, did you hear about this game called WoW?
Yes, I have. But WoW isn't Middle Earth. It's Kalimdor, the Eastern Kingdoms, and Pandaria. And it's chuck-full of cities, factories, auction houses, and giant structures. That's all well and good, it's a fantastic game; but that's not Middle Earth. Tolkien's world has a more natural beauty, rather than the fires of industry like WoW. Middle Earth is a bit more untouched by mortals. I've got nothing against WoW, but it would be an injustice to put the two in the same league.
Zachary Hunter indeed it is, just saying it's the closest you can come to from existing games ;)
That would be a very valid statement, good sir. WoW has got a humongous open world. Just still wairing for that realistic Middle Earth. I don't think gaming companies realize how much they could bank on a game like this!
3 jewels from those films:
Martin Freeman's acting, the riddles scene and this song. ❤
The best moment 2:41..
Arphen yes yes
1:03 is the best part actually
@@spyfalls_ truee♥️
I've been looking for this version for a good while today. Finally I found it. Best one I've heard
I just saw the extended editions of all 6 movies this week for the first time. I’m sooooooo glad I finally got to watch them.
Shame there's no VHS version with of the hobbit films
Such a perfect song to be sung by Neill Finn. Gives me the shivers.
I love the „Ey ey ey yaa“ in the backround. They give this song some Native American spirit. Would like to sing this with many people around a big camp fire!
MIDDLE- EARTHERS will never be forgotten.
the most loved song from all six movies
I'm glad these exist
The Duńedain will not forget
dont you mean naugrim? the dunedain are men who descend from númenóreans....
They r coming out with 2 new movies from JRR Tolkein's older bk's. I was xcited 2 c they r going 2 do this. I wrote & told those n charge we need 2 c more!
are you sure? because that was always basicly impossible. wich books are they going to adaptate into movies?
Hard time to believe what they claim is true... especially when they type like a 12 yo girl, lool.
yeah, you are right, jaqen h'gar
I love this song. I have it on repeat.
loved this ending song!
I really enjoyed this version of the Misty Mountains. Really nice!
"Ride in the gathering storm" Love that part!
Such a Incredible song😍
I agree with you
My brother just called me weird ass for listening to this song😂
I can not believe that all this adventures have end!!! I want more of this ...perfect story!!!!!
Niel Finn is so amazing! Wonderful voice and such sensitivity, no matter what he is singing, from the Split Enz to Crowded House to this! I love how this song sounds so Moody Blues, very much like the songs on "To Our Children's Children's Children". CooL!
this movie is just too unique!! a true masterpiece.
+werewarwolf3366 this?? Really? I mean it is your opinion, but personally I find the LotR much better. But I read The Hobbit the book and yes, that can be called a masterpiece :)
+The Shadow Master The Hobbit franchice was complete dogshit compared to LotR in my opinion.
Eddard Stark Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North i think you completely misunderstood my words, LOTR is indeed the greatest film of all, since the director is the same. but why you people always compare this to LOTR? dont be that idiot.
+werewarwolf3366 PREACh
+The Shadow Master did you notice in the first movie of the hobbit the start shows frodo traveling to the woods. in the first Lord of the rings it shows him in the woods. what a coincidence😜😜😜😜
I absolutely love this song ! Gives me chills every time.
I love how the song explains the whole motive behind all this quest!Reclaim what was taken from you!!
Fine song from the film. The landscape is very scenic , gorgeous
Beautiful song for a wonderful story.
Best song of the movie..
Help, literally can't stop listening to this!
Just watched Desolation of Smaug...LEGENDARY! Can't wait to get the books.
*book?
Yes, the Lord of the Rings is three parts, the Hobbit is one book! It sounded like he thought the Hobbit was three books as well, that's all :)
No matter how many times I listen to this, I still get goosebumps. I always imagine a group of about 20+ people in a random talent show, giving a mesmerizing performance of this song; which I've imagined all in vivid detail. It's a shame I don't have the talent to pull it off
-_-
anyone else have their spine tingle when they listen to this? I do. This is my favorite song ever. ✋ I'll take this song over pop music any day!!!
I love The Hobbit movies! And, the music is so beautiful!
I AM NERDING OUT SO HARD ON THE LYRICS I CANNOT BREATHE
The I'll see you in heaven 😊
Was für ein toller Song.
Ich bin völlig begeistert.
10 years went just like that, my head still takes me back.. Back to the misty mountain.
I will NEVER get enough of Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit! Every time I get to choose what movie to watch it’s LOTR or the Hobbit, I miss all the characters sooo much!!!! I wish I saw the premiere irl or got to meet any of the cast
Gandalf the most badass wizard of all times
A song that simply describes brotherhood.
This song gives me the shivers every time I hear it. Fantastic.
Cea mai tare melodie de pe fundalul unui film! Nu stiu parca te atrage si nu te mai poti dezlipi de ea. Ai vrea sa o asculti incontinuu!
What a beauty song!!!
"To find a song for heart and soul". Mission accomplished
Actually did this for end of school. Collective likes were given. :3
Im crying. These were the good days!! Let's bring Em back please!!!!
It's pretty sad when your own kin steals from you!
i love the music composition and neil's voice.
I have so much love for this version
2:41 best music in the hobbit trilogy so satisfying
