  • In this video we will go through the rather in depth process of replacing the weather beaten headlight assemblies on a 2011 Toyota RAV4.
    When the headlights get all faded and crazed from the sun and the weather, you either have to replace them or polish them out. I always try to replace them, because while polishing them will make them look better for the short term, the problem is the UV protection layer is already gone, so they will not last.
    Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!!

    First thank you for the video it was awesome! So, I followed this video to replace mine on the same vehicle only my blinkers and hazards don't work now. The fuses are good and I even replaced the relay just in case but nothing has helped and there is no noise, nothing. I am at a loss. Any ideas? Thank you again for the detailed video.

      I am assuming that they worked prior to replacing the headlight assemblies? If so then I would look at the new parts. Check that the new assemblies actually have the bulbs installed for the turn signals. When I was shopping for mine, some came with bulbs and some did not. Also check that the plugs are fully plugged into the new light assembly, and that you did not accidentally pinch or pull a wire during installation.

    Where did you get your replacement lights from? Are they OEM factory replacements? Thanks

      I got them from RockAuto.com they are not Toyota parts, but are made to specs by a Toyota supplier.

    Also what tool are you using to screw it in on the left side please

    • @ludercoarms

      That is a battery operated 1/4 inch drive ratchet, A/C Delco brand. Pretty sure I got it from Amazon a few years ago.

    Hello again i need to know if i need screws or clips im replacing my front bumper on this same truck?

    • @ludercoarms
      @ludercoarms  Год назад

      There are both in the bumper. There are screws behind the plastic in the front fender wells, and along the top and bottom, and also some plastic push clips along the top and a few on each side of the bottom if I remember correctly.

    Hello what is that clear container right under the the driver side headlight

    • @ludercoarms
      @ludercoarms  Год назад

      That is actually part of the air intake piping, I believe it is a resonator to keep the intake from making noise.

    • @preciousellington780
      @preciousellington780 Год назад +1

      @@ludercoarms hello the resonator is silver I'm asking about the clear container right up under the pipe on the driver side when you took the bumper off

    • @ludercoarms
      @ludercoarms  Год назад

      @@preciousellington780 That is exactly what I am talking about, too. the top of the clear tank, under the driver's side headlight, is hooked into the black plastic air intake pipe going to the inlet of the air filter box. As far as I can tell, it was put there by Toyota as a resonator chamber to reduce the sound of the intake sucking in air. Not the silver exhaust resonator, but an intake noise resonator.
