Listening to him talk, I wonder why David Fincher isn't a writer/director instead of just a director. They level of thought and detail that goes into his films is indicative of a writer's mind.
Many directors re-write even after the final draft of the screenplay: Scorsese and Spielberg come to mind. Some directors are just better suited to taking the blueprint they like from elsewhere and creating it visually.
He wants energy completely put into direction so that he can be involved in all aspects like music, editing, cinematography etc but if even write it burns u out and thats why there are little successful writer-directors
This has to be the most underrated movie ever. It’s so beautiful. Wish Hollywood did more of these types of movies, someone’s life from beginning to end.
My favorite film of all time, David Fincher did an excellent job with this film, everything about this film just seems so perfect to me from the cinematography to the soundtrack of the film. All the actors gave a superb performance especially Cate Blanchett.
David Fincher is an auteur...unconventional and pathbreaking in his filmmaking style....his Fight club and The Social Network are watchable again and again.>>>!!!
One of the reasons you say this is because as a woman your expected to want Brad, it's pushed onto you in this culture. So you see David, think maybe he's deep and decide that he's better. This is your reaction to what's going on... In actuality you might not want either of them when you get to meet them, or they might not want you.
Fincher is an absolute genius and the only true successor to Hitchcock. But he is no word-builder filmmaker. That quality would go to Scott, Cameron, Jackson, Verhoeven, Raimi, Twohy, Sommers, Norrington, etc. It’s because he never did (except Alien 3, but, it wasn’t his vision) a sci-fi epic, a fantasy or a fabricated world. If you look for a stylised and Swiss clockwork reality- there is only Fincher.
Used to have a talk show (on CBS I think?) that mostly discussed topics related to the creative arts. He was more or less “cancelled” back in 2017 cuz of #MeToo stuff
I could listen to David Fincher talk all day long...
me too
Brad Pitt is so humble and David Fincher is a legend

Some people like to create and others like to tinker. Fincher seems more interesting in tinkering.
LMAO HE'S GOT THE ALDO RAINE MOUSTACHE
Ben Button shouldnt be the last Brad Pitt/Fincher film. A reunion needs to happen
Brad’s voice is so comforting

Pitt has the Inglorious Basterds haircut / mustache
"and.. He looks like Yoda" I think everyone could think what he was going to say, even before he said that😂😂😂😂

Fight club is one of the best films ever made
DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB!!
Bryan Walker his name was Robert Paulson!
David Fincher is an auteur...unconventional and pathbreaking in his filmmaking style....his Fight club and The Social Network are watchable again and again.>>>!!!
Wholeheartedly agree!! His favorite of mine has to be "Zodiac"
Hmmmm... must watch Zodiac again to appreciate it as much as you obviously do!
+Archana puran singh Netflix yo, I think it's still streaming
brad seems emotional or overwhelmed here
Agree 💯
Same script writer as "Forrest Gump" and with great similarities, but I prefer "Benjamin Button" any day over the former.
Brad’s love is my love
I`d take Fincher over Brad Pitt any day.
