Idk that’s a tough question. I like the social network, fight club and Gone Girl probably the most. But Zodiac is also great too. His stuff is awesome man.
I LOVE Fincher. I respect his trajectory. But it always makes me feel less than deserving due to my “resume”. I would be happy to work with him changing the dialogue on how you find filmmaking as your calling.
What people don't understand is the overall impact that Madonna had on everything: From feminism, music, pop culture to movies, comedy and fashion to photography, politics and religion, to performance. She literally discovered, supported, exposed, collaborated and sponsored many many many artists (Steven Meisel, Herb Ritts, David Fincher; Jean Baptiste Mondino, Patrick Leonard, Joanne Gair, Vincent Petersen, countless dancers, painters, the entire LGBTQ community and so many others) David worked with Jody Watley (Most OF All) before he worked with Madonna but with Madonna, he has produced THE most iconic music videos of all time. "Bad Girl" alone is a masterpiece. All of this was way before David Fincher "the movie director". Too bad he doesn't even mention Madonna in interviews. His collaborations with her are worth an entire two hour interview.
He said he was a projectionist so you pretty much have to watch to see the cue marks. Plus you can always learn from someone else's mistakes. Kubrick took a lot of inspiration from watching "terrible" films from which he thought he could do better.
@@akagoffer I've personally found that there are two things which almost equally inspire you to want to make a film of your own: watching something really terrific, and watching some utter wretched mess like Birdemic. One is something to aspire to, and the other automatically makes you feel good about your own abilities.
1941 was a horrible movie as a whole, but it's still a Spielberg movie with a ton of visual brilliance, which is the only reason I still watch it repeatedly.
@@akagoffer I've thought for a long time that one can learn more about making movies by watching bad movies, and learning what NOT to do. It's often easier to identify what is wrong with a movie than what what is right.
What's your favourite David Fincher film?
Fight Club.
Zodiac

He also blessed us with the Netflix series Mindhunter and House Of Cards.
Fight Club
David Fincher seems whip-smart and it's always engaging to hear him talk. Must be part of why he's such a great visual storyteller.
I could hear him talk for 10 hours. Please, upload the full interview uncut 🙏🏼
I could even for 11
David Fincher is so proficient in visual storytelling. I hope he receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
He’s directed 4 amazing music videos for Madonna so I thank him for that 😍
Understand why he despises it but I got big love for Alien3 assembly cut.
This is a great interview but it’s very distractingly shot and edited
26 seconds in an I can already relate. This thing hurts to watch. 😄
@@michaeldelacruz6370 it’s better to just listen only lol
They edited it like it was a TikTok video 😂
Wow...literally 5 minutes ago i re-watched Se7en. What a coincidence!
I randomly saw David Fincher in public a couple years ago but decided not to say anything to the master haha
I'm sure he appreciates this
brilliant guy

What an interesting man.
Damn this is so cool!
David is one of the best living American 🇺🇸 filmmakers 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
he followed Riddley Scott's career pretty close
How so?

@@mate1030
I think he might mean how he started in commercials
Didn't ever realise Fincher was this funny.😂
Well there it is what it gone take to become an director, no sleep and start working when ur 8

Fincher's basically the reason I became a filmmaker and moved to LA for months ago.
Hi David. Great stories. Let’s go shoot a film. M

excellent point firouz and absolutely nobody complimented you for it. well, here's a compliment all the way from ireland ,sir!!! great stuff
Why would he watch 1941 200 times, to see Spielberg almost destroy what he had accomplished early in his film career?
He said he was a projectionist so you pretty much have to watch to see the cue marks. Plus you can always learn from someone else's mistakes. Kubrick took a lot of inspiration from watching "terrible" films from which he thought he could do better.

A film more brilliantly shot than the entire MCU.
he. just HE.
Did you just assume David’s gender?
SE7EN! ZODIAC! ❤

To paraphrase Avi from SNATCH: Why is it so hard for English people to speak the English language in a way that's easy to understand?
