Lyrics:
When something is wrong with my baby
Something is wrong with me
If I know she's worried
Oh I would feel that same old misery
We've been through so much together
We spoke as one and that's what makes it better
Oh and just what just what she means to me now
Oh you just oh you just wouldn't understand
And the people say oh they say she's no good
Oh but she's my woman and don't you know
I'm her man
If she's got a problem oh yeah yeah
Oh I know I'm gonna have to help her solve it
If she's got a problem oh I know
I'm gonna help her
You know I'm gonna have
To help her somehow
Oh sing it again
When something is wrong with my baby
Oh sure now
When something is wrong with my baby oh
Then something is wrong with me Видеоклипы
Johnny Diesel is Jimmy’s brother-in-law. They are married to sisters. Diesel is a legend in his own right. He was in a band called Diesel and the Injectors. All three are brilliant.
Oh my memories lmao...... saw Cold Chisel a lot.... saw Jimmy Barnes 'Back for a Flash'.... saw Diesel and the Injectors a couple of times....... good times :D xx
She needs to SMILE MORE. I know she's young and she doesn't know them, but to be so flat faced when John is so uplifting
Our Aussie legends ❤❤❤ John can sing any genre from rock to opera. There is 50 years of music for you to enjoy.
The a cappela harmony at the very end of this song gives me the tingles every time!
same
Thanks for the reaction to these Australian legends, music doesn’t get much better then this. Farnsey, Barnsey and Diesel together on one stage is 🔥. Please react more to John Farnham check out “help” live with the Melbourne symphony orchestra next
Lovely to see young people dipping into the past and encountering different music.🌼
This is a cover version of the original, sung by Sam and Dave in 1967. The icing on the cake with this version, is the a Capella at the end.
In the harmonys it's Farnsey that takes the lower pitch, the "shut up"/ "show off" is a in house joke between Barnsey and Farnsey that became a regular part of their live gigs
He isn’t saying either of those he’s saying “sure now” and it’s part of the songs lyrics.
@@Dr_KAP I used to think he said Show Off too (in response to John once joking to someone calling him a showman "Well I don't know about that but I AM a show off!") but then I decided that "Sure enough" fit better better. As in "When something is wrong with my baby, sure enough something is wrong with me." That makes sense. Either way, I'm 100% sure he's not saying Shut Up lol
@@that70sgirl17 😂 I just looked up the lyrics the other day and it’s “sure now” but maybe he changes it up now and then especially live 😆 happy Easter 🐣
@@Dr_KAP yeah no doubt he does 😄 they’re so awesome 🤩
Pretty sure Farnsey takes the high pitch harmony
The interesting thing about John Farnham is that he was a very heavy smoker....he started when he was very young. But it never seemed to affect the clarity of his voice. In fact probably helped with the little bit of rasp. He also drank a bit but never on stage.... He was a lightweight compared to Jimmy. And was known for his nice guy reputation compared to Jimmy's bad Boy rep.
As others have said Deisel is Jimmy's brother in law. He's the youngest of the 3 ....theirs about 8 years between Deisel and Jimmy and 7 years between Jimmy and John who is the oldest
Wild Thing was in 83 for Chisels last tour before breaking up. They reformed in 98.
Every member of Chisel contributed hit songs.
Barnsey started his solo career with rock immediately after the breakup. He switched to soul, the genre this song falls into, in the 90’s.
ty for telling! we're on Solo Barnet ATM so that is good information!
If you listen carefully, Jimmy says play that guitar Diesel. Johnny Diesel is Jimmy’s brother in law.
Always live with the Aussies if possible. The interaction with the audience is often touching. You chose well. That was part of Jimmy's Soul Deep period.
It was originally sang by American duo Sam and Dave in 1967.
❤ yes from the original 1967 Sam & Dave
These guy where both aussie ledgens
They both owned the charts in Australia 🇦🇺
John 5 decades Jimmy 4 decades
If it wasn't one at the top it was the other and they only one under the other
Jimmy blues type singer
John did all genre's
6 decades for John❤
Barnes says play that guitar Diesel.
You're talking about 2 old school Australian singers that developed their skills in old school pub culture where only talent kept you alive to the end of the gig😉 their always equal or better to the studio version but the film clip is simple and cool as fuk
BTW, Freddie Mercury recommended John Farnham as his replacement in Queen when he was aware of his prognosis (& JF was asked) but John wanted to be there for 🇦🇺 his wife & sons.
CRAZY
Watch the official video Soul Deep version I know sort of doubling up. But I feel it is worth the double reaction. Keep it rockn from down under in Australia 🇦🇺 👌
Just a suggestion, check out Matt Corby. Like a version 'Brother' another Aussie singer.
Jimmy's not saying "shut up", he's saying "Oh sure now", Thanks Dr_KAP. And "play that guitar Diesel".
He’s actually saying “sure now” it’s part of the lyrics
@@Dr_KAP I always thought it was Sure 'Nuf
@@carolynh8866 yeh I’m just going off the official lyrics which say sure now 😂
@@Dr_KAP It's funny how often we hear lyrics that sound just right..... She's got Electric Boobs ( from your fav EJ)
No Way get F*#cked F@%k off. Hahaha
@@Dr_KAP Thanks, I knew it wasn't "Shut up".
Great old 60s song. Writtenby Isaac Hayes.
Are you both deaf. Those two aussie gods are the best of the best, and what ever they sing together, no body can knock. The band Queen asked John Farnem to join the band and also John Lennon said the best version of Help he had ever heard. Clean your ears close your eyes and listen again
Sorry, we don't sound the e in barnes, it's all one syllable, like Barns.
That was shore' nuff, meaning sure enough, as a tribute to the original artist's Sam and Dave. Not shut up.
A lot of young Americans are shocked to find, that a lot of their sporting songs are by Queen.
Jimmy isn't saying shut up he is saying show nuff which means shore enough. It's an American thing I think.
Only use live performances with Australian singers and bands, the bands formed doing live performances in pubs and clubs etc. in the official videos were made in recording studios an un-natural environment to them. They always present much better live, it’d thre natural environment.
yes ...i think jimmy is farnhams son and diesel is farmhands grandson ..pretty sure , maybe
Diesel and Jimmy married sisters, John is good friends.
Ummm no... the song is about, when your partner is upset or hurt about something in the world..... you feel the same pain and want to fix it........ other people are saying your partner is 'no good'.... but they are your woman and you are their man......... and you will stick up for them, fight for them and protect them as much as you can.......
