NO TOUCH Wheel Cleaner! Doesn't Get Any Easier! But, Is It Effective? Poorboy's World Spray & Rinse!

- In this video, I share my experience with Poorboys World Spray And Rinse Wheel Cleaner. Wheels are difficult to clean for several reasons: they are always dirty, many wheel cleaners do not work well, and you have to stoop and scrub to get all the grime off. You end up wearing a lot of what comes off your wheels. The hassle just isn't worth it and often times the job is not done correctly or not done at all. That leads to corrosion caused by brake dust build-up. Poorboy's came up with a better way to clean wheels that saves you time and energy while cleaning your wheels to a spotless shine - Poorboy's Spray and Rinse Wheel Cleaner.
Poorboysworld Spray And Rinse Wheel Cleaner...www.autogeek.net/pbsrwc32.htm...
Poorboy's Spray and Rinse Wheel Cleaner is a professional strength acid-based cleaner. The scent is pleasant, though a little strong, so use Poorboy's in a well-ventilated area. Just spray it on your wheels, taking extra care to thoroughly cover your entire wheel. Spray on all four wheels before you start rinsing it off. Use a steady stream of water to rinse your wheels completely clean. Poorboy's will leave no residue. If you want, spray the inside of the wheels, too. Poorboy's will only work where you put it so be sure to spray around the lug nuts and between spokes. It is packaged in either a large 32 oz. bottle or a gallon, so feel free to use as much as you need.

Brian, I have been using this product for about 5 yrs now and I have found that it is the only wheel cleaner that I know of where you can spray it on all four rims, go back and immediately rinse all four rims, and get a night and day difference without scrubbing. Most wheel cleaners you HAVE to add the scrubbing part. If you would have wipe that first rim with a dry microfiber, that would've sufficed for most people. With Poor Boys, it's truly a spray on and rinse off, majority clean, product, at best a minimal wipe off. What I add to this when I clean my rims/tires is a small bucket of soapy water. When I am ready to rinse, I follow each rim rinse with a wipe down of the soapy water, nothing vigorous, no scrubbing, just to catch any areas I may have missed, followed by one more quick rinse to get the soap off. And just like in your video, my wheels are literally "squeaky clean". I have a Mustang GT with Brembo brakes, black glossy rims and it takes me at the most 10 - 15mins. I like to spend most of my time washing and preventing swirl marks. This product help me do that. And I'm not sponsored, LOL 😊. I appreciate products that do what they say and I get a lot of my product knowledge from your channel. By the way, what happened to your Bead and sheet products?? I didn't see it on the website. So, I haven't found anything better. For the price, the time of cleaning , and ease of use.....I think it's the best.
can this be used on aluminum
Love it . I've been using it for year but always use a mitt . Speeds up the wheel cleaning
I’m very impressed. Those wheels were awful and with no agitation they had a huge turnaround. Thanks Brian I’ll be picking this up 🍻🍻🍻
Thanks for reviewing Poorboy’s World wheel cleaner. This company makes good products. I have used their strip wash and bird 💩 remover with awesome results.
Definitely buying this product. It will make my winter washing easier at the car wash in the winter. Everyone knows how BMW’s throw break dust
Wow, very good results without agitation.
I"ve been using this wheel cleaner for a couple of years now. Of course its acid based but one of the best "no touch" wheel cleaners out there in my opinion. Works fantastic on the barrels of the wheels. I use it on my cars that have not so premium wheels on them. 😄
Great product 👊🏼Thanks Brian
I will give this a go… thanks again B! Love your channel!
The perfect wheel cleaner for people who wash their vehicles regularly. I'll definitely try this!
This seemed to be a really good product and definitely would be great for dirty wheels. Great video and review as always Brian, thanks.
Very impressive product!! Definitely something to have in the arsenal. 👍🇨🇦
My father in law always recommends this to us. Thanks for another great review Brian! 👍😁
My pleasure! Good stuff! Thank you. 😀
now this is what i'm talking about. A chemical that actually does something without being agitated
considering how dirty the wheels where it di a good job. Might be good for after winter wash. Thanks Brian for the review
Great video buddy tfs
Great review! 👍
Another awesome video and product review good friend
Thank you! Cheers!
Interesting product!
Thanks Brian, for the always interesting and helpful reviews and the methodology you employ in your tests and comparisons.
I use a similar product, Griot's Garage Heavy-Duty Wheel Cleaner, which also does a good job and is gentle on my painted and clear coated wheels. Since I have a ceramic coating on my wheels and hand wash the entire car every week, there is very little buildup of dirt and brake dust. I think the product I am using is a waste of money for me, as I end up hand washing the wheels anyway in the end. If my wheels got really dirty, I could see the value of this for me.
Good looking product as the shampoo and wheel cleaner have impressed.
Picked up a number of Poorboy’s products. Looking forward to trying this in some Chrome Ford rims from a F150.
Never used the product, but it seems that it Does work.
I worked on the Prowler when it was being designed. It's primary purpose was to showcase Crysler's technological capability by producing an aluminum intensive vehicle. To this day, I would be surprised if there was another vehicle with as much aluminum. The V6 was supposed to be fine due to the light weight of AL but as we all know, more power is more better. Of course this was the same time as the Viper came into being so it thought it had the power side taken care of.
Probably audi a2 has enough aluminum to be a competitor for this...
@texfromro Thanks, i wasn't aware of that one. It looks like it might take the lead for pounds of aluminum used as it's bigger. The prowler also had its seat frames and nearly every component that could be (not seat recliners and I can't remember about the seat tracks) was. It would be interesting to see a % part in Al comparison.
I would probably use this on something heavily soiled, but not as a weekly maintenance cleaning
I was also surprised. All wheel cleaner I’ve tried I’ve had to at least agitate a little except Acid ones
great video got try that but you forgot to give it a number !!
8/10
i had similar product for my motorcycle spokes, its great for maintenance wash more then anything else really !
Nice
Love your unbiased reviews. Would you be up for a comparison of spray and rinse products such as Gyeon Wet Coat, Maguiars, etc for a test of ease of application and durability?
Sure....why not.
Heck yea
Not bad at all. Great product if you're looking for a quick rim job. At least the wheel won't have caked on brake dust. Just follow it up with some sort of ceramic spray and rinse and you're good to go.
I’m looking for a quick rim job.
That stuff could be the best road film remover ever should experiment
I think this is a good product for a no touch wheel cleaner. Probably better to use in hard to reach or can’t get to places. Just doesn’t look like a product for a wheel that hasn’t been washed in weeks or months!!!
Chem-X M Shine is about the harshest acid wheel cleaner I use.. this seems very comparable 🤓👍🏻
The prowler design was awesome but the V6 ruined it. There were a few companies that specialized in Viper V10 swaps which made the car insanely fun!
Wow. I bet those are pretty amazing.
Any chrome wheel I'm going straight to Ardex Attack wheel acid. On a cool, dry wheel I'll spray it on, let it dwell for 20-30 seconds then hit it with a high pressure 20 degree nozzle. 2500-3000 PSI. It will be squeaky clean. It was really the only way to clean those old Jaguar chrome spoke wheels.
The product looked pretty cool. I don't think I would stop with just a rinse. I'd have to agitate. But that's just me. Sorry.
Sort of a related topic. Is there any complaining from anyone about chemicals being rinsed off the vehicles going down the driveway to the road? Just curious. Great review Brian. Thanks.
Auto Fanatic wheel cleaner is a great no touch wheel cleaner that has a dilutable range depending on how much strength you need.
I will reserve judgment. I would have prefered to see it in action on a wheel with some baked on brake material.
I was waiting for the shot manager to lift his leg and take a p*** on that vehicle.😂😂😂
😂
Truly surpassed my expectations.they needed 2 drop either 426 hemi or hellcat engine on that prowler. Than it's a true badass car😆😆😆😆
I do believe the Prowler was mimicked after a “Hot Wheels Car”? Correct me if I am wrong
Im sure the purpose of rinsing first is to get any mud or heavy caked dirt off before spraying. would this be safe on clear coat factory aluminum wheels ?
I would double check with Poorboys.
Poorboy`s world`s products are expensive in my country, it`s ironic 😃
😮
@@apexdetail85 Not as expensive as gyeon or soft99, but still.. 😀
I’m done with acidic wheel cleaners. Used one recently and it’s stripped the plating right off the rotor. I didn’t know it’s limits, but no mas.
Um,yeah not going there
Hi Brian, great review. About the power wash sprayer you’re using where did you get that from? Thanks
Home Depot
@@apexdetail85 thank you!
And what is the pH of this cleaner?
I was going to buy this a few months back but was put off when I found out it was acid based 😟
Maybe I should check out poorboys after this
I thought it did pretty good, wonder how the rag might have looked like when you wiped off the film?
Not bad… just a bit of bonded dust.
Brian, I have a 2023 BMW with black rims…do you think it’s safe?
It seems to be … I have black satin rims … so far so good.
Now if they would make it in a foam can like tire foam, and it would be easy to spray and let sit. Then spray off and done 👍
Most wheel cleaners make my brake rotors rust up much quicker than just using soap alone. Did you notice any chemical reactions on the brake rotors like that?
I’ve been detailing cars, trucks, vans, semis, boats, etc etc for over 6 almost 7 years. Used ever type of product, tried every shortcut, done it all.
When it comes to some chemicals/products (ESPECIALLY WHEEL CLEANERS), some are going to require a higher level of analyzation before use. Because when you’re wanting to get the most powerful/aggressive wheel cleaner, you do have the option to add actual chemicals (like Wheel Cleaner ACID) that can do serious serious serious damage to not only the car. But if it’s inhaled by the user, can legit kill you.
The most powerful/aggressive wheel cleaner, that will give you the best results, the best looking wheels, etc etc…. Is actual acid. The wheel clean acid is a blend of hydrofluoric and phosphoric acids and several surfactants. The product is an etching wheel cleaner. Used to remove rust, brake dust, dirt and grime at the highest level. But again, it’s a acid that will legitimately kill you if you inhale it too much.
The acid cleaner is the best way to go about wheel cleaning if you want the best chance of getting the wheel/tire back to its showroom look.
What do you think of spray and rinse products?
Harsh AF, if used regularly
I like spray and rinse protectants for wheels and tight areas of the vehicle like grilles where it's too difficult to use a hand-applied protectant.
I think spray and rinse products are fine for hydrophobics and protection but for cleaning I think some sort of contact or agitation is necessary
I been using the new Turtle 🐢 Wax wheel cleaner so far so good 👍, but watching this one I think I will change it for some Poor boy.
It's decent but the time that was used on with the pressure washer, is more time then it would take a brush to completely clean haze free.
Not bad at all. How much of the bottle did it take for all four wheels?
I have 2/3 of the bottle left after 3 cars.
@@apexdetail85 Even more impressed now. Thanks
How do you compare to Diablo from chemical Guys?
This is a bit more effective
How much of that bottle was used on four wheels? Just curious.
Thanks, Brian!
About an ounce per wheel honestly.
@@apexdetail85 thank you
Is this acidic
We’re the wheels coated Brian??
Not at that time.
Is it removing the brake dust or cleaning it?
Removed most of it… 90%
@Apex Detail might make a good car wash then
Plymouth Prowler?
Indeed.👍🏻
Dang!!! That stuff probably rocks on frequently washed coated wheels!!
Ya think?
I wish you could measure the difference as to how much water you use. Looks like a waste.
Dam! Who lets a car get this dirty, those wheels have not been cleaned in weeks? May be some of this wheel cleaner, needs to be used to wash this car? lol lol maybe it time for a detailing job? If this products is going to leave a film, you might as well just scrub the tires with this product?
No such thing as touchless, in anything imo. Imagine if you only had a garden hose tho.
Seems to me if you need to follow up with a wash mitt you might as well just clean the wheels as normal.
You seriously have to do it on the rim that wasn't coated with ceramic before, or in tire dressing lol you can see immediately starting to beat if it was a really dirty tire that was never coated or had anything else on it it wouldn't do that
