    Thank you for not playing rockabilly. I swear a lot more people would own a gretsch if they knew how much they could rock out with one. I am loving all the new models!

      Especially the solid bodys which are closer to a les paul but with more clarity and high end attack.These hollowbodies arent that wide which also helps with a good rock sound.

    I watch most guitar reviews and think, "Ah, hell yeah, nice playing!" But this, I actually thoroughly enjoyed listening too. Awesome sounding guitar and awesome sounding player 🤘

      The axeman's name is Adam Armijo, he is an American guitarist and in-demand session musician currently residing in the Phoenix area. He's the real deal!

    Not only are they beautiful, but they are fabulous guitars. I have two Gretschs and I'm buying a third one. I'm also waiting to hear the availability on a 1970's orange one as well. You can't go wrong with a Gretsch!

    I’ve got 2 streamliners and one electromatic and they’re the best guitars I’ve ever played and think they’re great for rock/grunge.
    If anyone was sitting on the fence about these guitars, I’d highly recommend them 😁

    Its sad that Gretsch no longer demo's their guitars with even a brief moment of clean sounds.

    I love the look and the sound of Gretsch guitars. I would really love to own one IF it didn't have a Bigsby. I know I don't have to use it, but I still have to change strings on it. And life is too short for that kind of aggravation.

    • @sps8807
      @sps8807 7 лет назад +4

      you can. all electromatic models have a non-tremolo model. this is a g5422t, the one you would be looking to get is a g5422. the t in the model name is for tremolo

      Yeah, it sucks that there is no non-Bigsby version of the G5422 being sold. I know this comment is a year old, but I don't think they existed at that time, either. The 12-string version doesn't have the trem, but everything else does. I would have bought one by now otherwise.

    • @Guitarburt
      @Guitarburt 4 года назад +3

      That and the fact that it's mostly DOUBLED. From early in the demo, you're hearing multiple guitars playing in unison. That makes ANY guitar sound fat.

      Vox AC15 or AC30 would be a good choice. Or an earlier-style Marshall, JCM800 or earlier. Peavey Classic 50, Classic 30, or even Classic 20. Tweed Fender. Or whatever natural-sounding tube amp you can get your hands on.

    A somewhat pointless demo if we only get to hear distorted sound. People want to hear if this model has the clean tones that Gretsch is known for. Might be nice to hear the Bigsby in action too. If nothing else, give us a variety of tones and sounds.
