just turned 83 years and I thought I would start to learn guitar and my son said as you have just lost your mind you might as well buy a gretsch at least you will get one thing right in your life before you fall off the perch... so I did I purchased a red one now I am left handed but this is a right handed one. I just moved the way it looked. paid more than I should have but I wanted it so decided not to bargain and piss off the seller but in reality I am happy with the price.. the seller said that too many people were ringing up and offering less than %50 percent of the asking price. so these were obviously professional buyers. they can destroy their own industry for being toooo greedy. anyhow I have my pride and joy and will start to learn slowly . my son says better get your ring out you dont know how much time you have left. but I am just soaking up the beauty and the sound of the gretsch and I will take my time. learning the notes. thank you GRETSCH.
I picked up electric guitar (at 60) to use with other instruments, I'm not trying to learn fancy stuff but often just sit with it and brush chords and play simple lines and enjoy the tone. I feel obligated to get fancy with my other instruments but guitar is just to enjoy.
I'd buy an album (CD) of this stuff for cruising in my car during the summer. (For the winter, I'd want the overdrive sounds--I'd make it through the snow better).
the microphone man (er, bear) is laying down on the job again hehe .... great playing as usual - kind of thinking this double cut-away fully hollow slim Gretsch might be a good option for comfort
Really a nice and good guitar. Your song's beautiful. I don't know if I should buy the 5622 gt or the 5422gt. Both seems so sweet and very versatile. Or perhaps a guild starfire iv. I will search a video on the guild, and after I will try these 3 models. The 2 gretsch 5622 and 5422 are really good guitars, not too expensives, and I love guild guitars too, and D'Angelico and duesenberg but, they are too expensive for me. A gretsch streamline for 450 euros, with 2 duesenberg pickups p90 domino and gran vintage on bridge.. Guitar 450+pickups duesenberg 85+90=625 euros +grover 502c rotomatic=700 euros. It should be good too.
hello I have a guitar Gretsch G 5422T And a fender hot rod amplifier but I do not know what pedals I can use to amplify the guitar if someone guides me please ...
Nice! I'm thinking about buying that guitar, I like the slightly thinner body compared to the... thicker models :) Would be nice if you gave a short summary of how you experience the guitar you are showcasing. You know, the typical "great, but..." Since the sound is so much in your fingers, all I can really take home from this clip is that it is a good looking guitar and you are a good musician :)
It was tasteful. And props to the OP for not doing rockerbilly.... It's like whenever I hear a Jaguar or Jazzmaster demo so many guys turn the damn reverb to 10 and play surf and convey a really limited idea of what they can do.

Finallyyyyyy someone playing the blues on a Gretsch on RUclips and not rockabilly or bad rock n roll.
nmfl100 Ever guitar sounds the same when Greg plays it
Greg has in my opinion the best "guitar-demo-channel". No talking, just play. Fantastic playing, cheers!
Best playing of this guitar ive seen so far on here
It's like I gave David Gilmour a Gretsch. Beautiful.
Got that same model in 2017 and have lived happilly ever after...
You definitely have a signature playing style. No matter what guitar you play, they all sounds similar ( in a good way ).
Sounds great!! I have the white G5422T and it's a rad guitar!! The red looks awesome!
I'd buy an album (CD) of this stuff for cruising in my car during the summer. (For the winter, I'd want the overdrive sounds--I'd make it through the snow better).
Very smooth...your sound is great....Thank you for sharing!
Man you make that gretsch sound so good
the microphone man (er, bear) is laying down on the job again hehe .... great playing as usual - kind of thinking this double cut-away fully hollow slim Gretsch might be a good option for comfort
the bear is drunk!
I bought your signature pedal today. Looking forward to it.

Sweet and sassy - maybe that's why I bought one. Put it thru a Nocturne Brain El Pescadoro for even more amazing tone!
Does that have a center block? Thinking of getting a semi hollow any suggestions even besides these? Thanks
Excellent, thank you
Were beginning chords from Slowdive? Sounds georgeous. Very tempted to look at getting a Gretsch to compliment my Jazzmaster rather than a Jaguar.
great playing and awesome guitar.
Excelent style David Gilmour

Karla Vesga Boss Blues Driver Great Overdrive pedal.
What's this loop pedal? Smooth playing.
Great great playing, gilmourish vibe and touch, awesome ! But the Gretsch don't sound like a semi-hollow at all... It's more kind of LP/Strat sounds..
How'd you get a red one?
fantastisk.

the thicker body give a warmer tone that is more full bodied
I only wish you could bottle up some of that talent and send it to me. This is my favorite channel !

Too bad you didn't fall asleep before leaving your a-hole comment.
