    Great color 😍
    I love the matching head stock.
    They should do more with the matching head stock. I've also seen a Cadillac green with the head stock in a 5420 Beautiful

    My fave guitar in the Electromatic range... possibly the best value in their entire line for the money. It was between this and the G5420T, and the 22 won out for versatility and a bit clearer tone.

    Amazing how good the pickups in the 'budget brand' Electromatics have got.

    This is why I bought the same guitar (Royal stain) yesterday and the Blackstar studio amp. The best bang for your $ for that amp. That amp.......pretty much can do anything. I only wish they could've put a treble,mid and bass knob on it . The guitar......is friggamazing!

      How do you compare it to a Epi Casino?

    • @Thebarbariantruckershow
      @Thebarbariantruckershow 4 года назад +1

      I've never played the Epiphone casino. I pretty much stay away from Epiphone or Gibson. To many fakes have flooded the market and even the popular music stores are selling Chibsons. I had to return a brand new 1400$ Jimmy page fender telecaster because it was straight junk! I guess sometimes it's hit or miss. FYI, Guitar center is doing a 180 day try and return policy from it's 90 day.

    🔵 I own both models 5422 in white and 5622 in walnut ,and bought them within a couple months of each other ; i play lighter finger style like at the beginning here , both are chimey for sure ; they are not far from one another in terms of tone you can achieve ; my 5622 is fitted with Super Hilo'trons and brings out every nuance on the fretboard ; I would recommend either one and base my decision on whether you prefer Hollow vs semi-hollow center block and Filter'tron vs Super Hilo'tron and thin depth body 5422 vs the even thinner body 5622 ❕😉

      That's basically where I'm at in my decision process except I heard they discontinued the hilotrons in the 5622. So I guess my decision I more down to hollow vs semi 🙃

    Thanks fo this demo. I wanted to hear what the mellow, jazzy, bluesy tone was like on this Gretsch, and most other demos use too much gain to hear it. That's close to the tone I'm looking for. How do you think this compares to the 5622T with the centre block, in terms of mellow tone?

    That intro tune w the clean tone is so close to what I want to be playing w a Gretsch. I want a Gretsch version of James Wilsey or Hank Marvin, melodic. Great demo. Thanks. Which do you recommend for that tone for a short player? I’m 5’4” w small hands and arthritis. Considering. 5422, 5420 or 5655 jr. Thoughts please?

      Hi I am also short, 5' 4" with small hands. I discovered that the Gretsch G2655T is the Grtesch Guitar for me. The Jr. has a smaller lower bout and thus easier and more comfortable for me. I had a Gretsch G5420GT which I loved but not comfortable to play for me. so I gifted it to my Grandson who is 6"3 LOL I also have a Guild X-175 Manhattan w/o bigsby.with beautiful sounding single coil pickups but again just a little too large for me. I might sell or trade it for a smaller Gretsch guitar. I love the sound of the G5222 but I think the lower bout is pretty large.

      He used a little studio 10 v2 in Tweed. There 99-115$. There amazing amps(RUclips it). I bought one and you basically don't need any pedals it's got 12 fx modes(reverb,delay and tremolo). They have a 20 and a 40 and a 60 Watt and only 25$ more for each version. The larger versions have a hookup for effect pedals. To bad the store I bought the amp from only had the studio 10, but still worth every penny.

      Mainly just gotta work on the fingerpicking dynamics, nothing pops out enough because you can tell your fingers don’t have that sensitive touch to make certain notes POP more than others to create a melodic rhythm section

    I have an impression that you wanted to show off your playing skills more than to present the guitar's possibilities
    Very poor presentation
