Just some fun facts: Andrew never sung before this. A teacher told him at a young age he couldn't sing, so he closed himself off to it. He took a year and a half to learn how to sing, dance and play piano for this role.

I think he is a tenor, his voice has a really bright ring in his upper register and he effortlessly hits a high g in full chest voice...but yeah his voice is amazing.

Every music person who has reacted to this wants it to resolve at the end, like the incompleteness feels wrong to them.
Jonathan Larson's songs are so good. RENT could be considered depressing but the soundtrack is inspirational.

I definitely recommend watching the movie! One of my favorite film/theater adaptations. I would also love to see you react to Yebba’s NPR concert, and Jasmine Sullivan’s new work! They will both blow you away with their voices!

Recently found your channel I know it’s been a year since posting this, I’m hoping you watched the movie cause it’s amazing! RENT is probably my favorite musical and seeing the pictures of the original cast in the movie was great. Johnathan Larson was so talented. But as I’m sure ppl have said the note didn’t resolve for a reason. I showed my husband the movie recently and he hated that part as well. 😂

Some more songs from this you should listen too are 30/90 but either listen to it on Netflix or a lyric video because they don’t put the full performance on the Netflix your channel,Therapy,Johnny Can’t Decide,and I think my favorite,is a bonus track that didn’t make it in the film,Green Green Dress sung by Andrew Garfield and Alexandra Shipp

I also love the green green dress which is my favourite as well which I only discovered when I went on Spotify. its a shame they didn't include it in the actual film but at least they included it in the credits
@@pluto_1626 yeah,the only way I found out about it was because it got recommended to me on RUclips and I didn’t even listen to it the first time it got recommended but I’m glad I ended up listening to it because it’s one of if not my favorite song (cause Johnny Can’t Decide is very good too)
