Not as easy as you’d think. I guess that’s why you’re the master tradesman and I’m an amazed viewer. Barney needs safety boots. Another great episode, tah mate 👍
Thanks Tony. When Barney's around I'm the one that needs safety boots. He always brings big chunks off wood and drops them at my feet. I've had some close calls with thongs on 😄
This is my mate and his dad’s cars, been following along the journey and to see from what the car used to be back in the day to now is unbelievable mate. Great work
Now that’s one smoking hot EH ute hand made to perfection the customer must be over the moon happy about the job you’re doing there one lucky person and my mind goes well they must have a good bank account 😂😂😂 . You’re skills are the best
Really enjoyed the content brother, will be needing your help in the future with mates FJ Ute I'm rebuilding want to do similar stuff you've done to eh but not same, your quality is top shelf
So, how hard do you think it would be to make a hardtop that followed the stock contours of the ute , rather than straightening out the front edge ? Great work as usual !
Thanks Mick. I did think of doing that too. Trying to curve the front and fade it out to the rear. Probably a similar amount of work and it would look awesome. Maybe on the next one😉
One other thing my old man Jeff the panel beater used to say to me about bending tube in tight corners hey young fella if you weld one end shut pack it full of black sand and weld the other end shut you basically have a solid bar which will bend, easier without kinks then cut the ends off son then continue Boy but he would watch me do it the hard way first then he’d tell me his way of doing it better after I wasted my time and money then he’d say the best way to learn is from your mistakes 😂😂😂..
Haha yep the best way to learn. I used to show my old apprentice my way of doing something but tell him it's not the only way and if he found a better way to do it then he should show me.
Barney is better than any apprentice I've had. GO Barney apprentice of the year 🎉

That flood light idea is awesome, I'm going to do similar 😁
It's so helpful just don't buy extremely bright ones like I did the first time. I was blinded every time I looked down 🫣

Really enjoyed the content brother, will be needing your help in the future with mates FJ Ute I'm rebuilding want to do similar stuff you've done to eh but not same, your quality is top shelf
Thanks Wayne. I have an FJ ute coming in next that I built a while ago. It's coming back from paint for final fit up.
