When talking about Darth Plagus, I see him being a character closer to that of Vitiate than Sidious. Plagus and Vitiate after a point were poor Sith, in terms of their ideology, but regardless were among the pinnacle of Dark Side users when it came to power. And they are both prime examples of how you don't need to be or think like a Sith to achieve true greatness in the Dark Side!
Kinda figured that was the case with Darth Plagueis, considering how Darth Sideous didnt even have the balls to challenge him face to face. But I never knew about some of the feats you just listed, damn he was an OP Beast.
Darth Pegasus is one of my favorite if not the best audio book I have ever listened to. I have listened to over 2000 audio books. It's not just the cold way it was written. But the accuracy and clinical exactness. I'm a fully trained and active lab assistant. The complexity and sureness of his experiments and work done in the lab are second to none.
Let me say what he said again, again! " A WHOLE CONTINENT IN AN ENTIRE EVENING!" and he was barely fatigued afterwards :0 some of us couldn't even imagine running down the street anymore, let alone a whole a$$ continent tho! Insane but "Impressive...Most Impressive..." Nonetheless ❤
Plagueis is not dead, he learned how to sustain his spirit after death and stay alive in the dark side nether realm, but Sidious knew this, and held his spirit in a force prison and used force drain to amplify his own powers, the only time Plagueis got free was when Vader killed that version of Sidious, when Plagueis managed to create a vessel for himself, then when Rey killed Sidious, Plagueis broke free and reunited with the vessel and is now alive again. Or maybe a dream I had, but would be cool.
More Plagueis!!!! I live hearing more lore on this sith litd. Questions for a video: what would plagueis have made if the yuzon-vong?, what would plagueis thoughts be on the kaminoans and especially the altered kaminoan Jedi master?, would plagueus be as powerful a Jedi as he was a sith?, if plagueis was going to essence transfer what species would he ideally want to become?, and finally, what would be plagueis’ thoughts and possible actions if he found himself in the world between worlds? Hope these get turned into great videos!
Honestly if they do make a second season then that could be the case. Often the first season of a series can be lacking as the world building is established. Look at the animation quality of the first season of TCW and even stories when compared with later seasons. I’m hoping it’s going to be a similar situation with the Acolyte. We’ve got the foundations of what the world is like during this era and several characters are now established to be better explored, just as we get with later seasons of other Star Wars shows.
The way he tipped the force out of balance causing the universe to create a chosen one is very similar to lord Voldemort causing there universe to have a chosen one in harry
Vader was nothing more than a sith enforcer. He wasn't particularly bright, had no real strategic ability or foresight, and was easily manipulated. He wasn't a Sith for very long (comparatively), and never showed any ambition to learn any of the subtleties of the force, partially by Sidious' design. He may have had more raw force potential, but never trained to use the majority of it. Plagueis would have ripped him to shreds and Palpatine could have ended him at any time.
manipulated life, created the one of the darkest being galaxy ever saw, orchestrated the rise of the darkest days of republic. such glory, such wisdom.
Technically I got this part spoiled, but this encouraged me to check out acolyte. Idk wtf fans are complaining about, I thought it was awesome!!!! So thank you for giving me the final push 😊
While it is Palpatine's right and duty to kill his master and take the title of Dark Lord. It's such a shame that all of Plagueis' knowledge and power had been lost on his death. Though perhaps he was never truly the same since he was gravely wouned. I hope one day we get another glimpse of his wiseness.
Darth plaguis is the master chest player he wins battles by calculating the best outcome with nearly the ability to see the future but in a mathmatical sense more so. He was fast enough to speed past a camera without being seen, ( like a phantom). He was also a master dualest and able to hold a mine cavern up from collapsing till he dropped it on his master and saving himself.
The power scale of canon vs legends is incomparable. If he had 1/3rd of that power in canon he would be the most powerful canon character ever displayed.
I’m new to Star Wars, so I’m wondering what makes you so sure they’ve retconned it? From what I can see, Muun lifespans are over 100 years, and The Acolyte only takes place 100 years before Episode 1, so I think it’s feasible? Genuinely curious as a newbie ✌🏻
@@JayofLemuria He would have been alive at the time, but he wouldn't be much more than twenty years old. At the time The Acolyte takes place the known pair of Sith were Darth Tenebrous and his apprentice Plagueis,
The Plagueis novel is legends, so it's a very minor thing if they changed the age a little bit from that. It's not a retcon as it wasn't canon to begin with. The ki adi mundi thing is even sillier. People acting like the lore was broken cuz they altered the age from the back of his trading card as if that was somehow canon or in anyway relevant to any star wars story.
Facts. Plageuis was Tenebrous's apprentice for around 70 years and started when he was young. Tenebrous knew Plageuis since he was born actually. Plageuis would maybe be born at the time of the Acolyte but definitely not grown and a Sith lord yet.
I think plagues is one of the most interesting characters in Star Wars. I honestly can’t wait until they finally make a TV show about him and his apprentice Palpatine.
In my own head cannon, Plagueis transferred his essence into Palpatine, where he would have influence in Palpatine’s eventual Project Necromancy, in an effort to build Plagueis a new and “perfect” body. Vader’s failure on Mustafaar is the catalyst for Plagueis to begin his contingency plan in which the newly formed galactic empire will meet its end, as well as Vader, so that he can start back at square one.
Most impressive. Arguably, Plagueis' only weakness was the lack of guile, which ultimately allowed Sidious to overthrow him - and which is still kind of surprising given that Plagueis was a top-tier banker and had almost the entirety of the Rule of Two lineage behind him. What brought him down was probably the characteristic Sith over-confidence - imagine how much of that must have a Sith Lord of Plagueis' caliber had..
I feel like Plagueis' appearance in the Acolyte was added in post due to the backlash they were getting. He is clearly all CGI and it just seems like a tacked on scene. Don't get me wrong, I like that we see him in live action finally, but I don't think he was suppose to make an appearance in the Acolyte story yet (probably figuring Disney might not get more seasons which is cause for hi earlier appearance).
But was cortosis added later too??? This is clearly Bal'demnic from Plagueis novel, which they also moved in time, the timeline of this show is all kind of messed up
Hard disagree. The show's themes are literally The Sith, The slow downfall of the jedi's golden era, and the ability of the force to create life. Thematically it seems pretty obvious that his inclusion was always intended. Not only did the promotional material hint at an important sith lord, but the show's first season makes a point to introduce so much EU stuff that hadn't been shown on screen yet, you'd be crazy to say the writers weren't interested in canonizing legends content from the start. By showing him for just one scene towards the end you don't have him derail Osha and Sol's story last minute while still letting the audience know he's been playing a secret hand in all of this. It also gives casual viewers the time in between seasons to learn about him and his significance to the expanded universe so that by the time he plays a bigger role in the next season casual fans can still appreciate the weight of the character.
The most terrifying thing about Plagueis was that he almost single-handedly turned the entire galaxy's Force towards the dark side. Sure, Sidious helped him, but it was still Plagueis mostly at that point. That meant that the entire destiny of the galaxy was affected on a grand scale. It wasn't just about material plots of the Sith after that point any longer. The Force itself was dark and pushed the entire galaxy towards conflict inner turmoil and darkness.
I just ordered the Darth Plageus novel. I’m excited to read it!!! I knew about Plageus before and it makes sense palpatine had to get him drunk and passed out to kill him
Damn I didn't know he was THAT powerful, no but it's cool af. A surgeon of the force needing no tools but his mind... I remember watching a Plagueis vs Obi-Wan lightsaber battle and they made Obi win... Big kek lmao on that one, Plagueis would've ragdolled him. And to answer your question, YES more Plagueis lore. Let's at least make the most out of the Acolyte by sparking our interest in other things.
It would have been so cool if it turned out that palpatine only thought that he killed him. He could have been the next big bad. Instead, we got snoke and palpatine again.
I mean, come on, you gotta be pretty badass to have a whole area of study named after you! Even Anakin read up on his Darth Plagueis The Wise studies, and he’s the Chosen One!!!
i think the way theyre going with everything in acolyte the ritual that created anakin was either taken by plagueis from the witches in which he perfected it or the witches were servants of plagueis and almost perfected what he was attempting giving him the step he needed to perfect it but idk
With as nice as it is to finally see Darth Plagues, it just sucks he was a mere last minute cameo. On top of that, much like with Thrawn, Disney will greatly screw over Plagues as well. Its one of those times when you want to see great characters, but not under the IP killer that is Disney.
One of the good things Disney is good at is making sith Lords powerful and menacing. They handled darth vader really good and kept Sidious a terrifying figure in the sequels. I'm hopeful they will handle Plagueis well.
I thought it was a great little touch! What’s the point on giving him in an episode for this series when he himself deserves a much bigger role going forward?

Man, all of Plagueis' feats would make him a good challenge for King Piccolo if he was in Dragon Ball.
Its a sith legend...
Thank the heavens hes still a munn 😭🙏
You know this Muuns story is gonna be made of cheese. Swiss cheese. Full of holes and stinky.
LMAO dummy!! I wasn't ready for that 😂 way funnier to me than it should have been 😂 much Love, and May The Force Be With You...Always🙏🤜🤛💯🔥☝️💪@@lustrazor44
He also has heterochromia. if you look at pictures of the brightness turned up his left eye is Sith red while his right eye is blue. I’m not sure if that was some thing already depicted in legends content, but it was very interesting to note in his brief appearance
Olivia is my favorite munn
When talking about Darth Plagus, I see him being a character closer to that of Vitiate than Sidious. Plagus and Vitiate after a point were poor Sith, in terms of their ideology, but regardless were among the pinnacle of Dark Side users when it came to power. And they are both prime examples of how you don't need to be or think like a Sith to achieve true greatness in the Dark Side!
Awesome video!
I really like these kind of videos so please make more! I also love all of your content!
Kinda figured that was the case with Darth Plagueis, considering how Darth Sideous didnt even have the balls to challenge him face to face. But I never knew about some of the feats you just listed, damn he was an OP Beast.
Amazing story at the end. So, the Acolyte serves its purpose as the introduction to Darth Plagiues, The Wise. "Awesome!"
great video! I just reread the book and love that you shared how powerful he was!
it was 2 out of his 3 hearts though ;)
Darth Pegasus is one of my favorite if not the best audio book I have ever listened to. I have listened to over 2000 audio books. It's not just the cold way it was written. But the accuracy and clinical exactness. I'm a fully trained and active lab assistant. The complexity and sureness of his experiments and work done in the lab are second to none.
wait till they hear about Darth Tenebrous
more plageuis vids, hes the best
They turned my precious Darth Plaguseis the wise into golem 😞🤦
"my"?
Fantastic video!
Your the best man❤
Let me say what he said again, again!
I’d ask for a Darth Plagueis show or movie, but unfortunately, I know Disney would just screw it up. Guess I’ll just re-read the novel…again. Lol
I read that book. It is excellent, one of my favorites. So yes, I knew.
The Acolyte should have been from the sith perspective about Plageuis training and search the power to create life
Honestly if they do make a second season then that could be the case.
It was from a sith perspective tho, just from the pov of a sith in the making.
Next season will definitely give us more Quimir and Plagueis
Initially that’s what it was pitched as by Headland but Disney said to go back and rewrite it for more of a Jedi perspective
They should do a Star Wars movie or show based on Darth Plagueis .
Yes, discuss him in greater detail
I did not know all this. How do i feel? Like a a god damn geek for watching all this.
manipulated life, created the one of the darkest being galaxy ever saw, orchestrated the rise of the darkest days of republic. such glory, such wisdom.
Technically I got this part spoiled, but this encouraged me to check out acolyte. Idk wtf fans are complaining about, I thought it was awesome!!!! So thank you for giving me the final push 😊
There's hope that We'll get to see more of Plagueis in Season 2 of the Acolyte.
A fascinating Stih figure.
The Legend of Darth Plagueis the lush.
Do you think you can give us power scaling videos on malgus, tulak hord, lumiya, and darth Krayt?
Did anyone not have chills but excitement to actually see him for the first time?. I dont think they need a second season.just leave creeper plagious
The power scale of canon vs legends is incomparable. If he had 1/3rd of that power in canon he would be the most powerful canon character ever displayed.
He wasn’t even around the time of the acolyte supposedly takes place, they pulled a ki adi mundi
Disney Plus doing a Darth Plaguis Seasonal series like American Horror Story is needed.
I’m just glad to see my favorite Sith come back.
I knew about Plageus before and it makes sense palpatine had to get him drunk and passed out to kill him
just throw lightning and vader is toast. Of course Plagueis was a beast otherwise Sideous wouldn't have to kill him like a coward.
Okay, ...im going to read the Plagueis novel again now.
I'd love to see a power scaling video for Darth Malgus and Vitiate
Damn I didn't know he was THAT powerful, no but it's cool af.
A surgeon of the force needing no tools but his mind...
I remember watching a Plagueis vs Obi-Wan lightsaber battle and they made Obi win...
Big kek lmao on that one, Plagueis would've ragdolled him.
And to answer your question, YES more Plagueis lore. Let's at least make the most out of the Acolyte by sparking our interest in other things.
I think the fact that Sidious got him drunk and waited till he went to sleep before he attacked him said all we needed to know.
You may have already done this one, but i would like to see what yoda was like in his prime and how he became grand master
Personally, I think that Andeddu is possibly one of the strongest or more powerful Sith Lords. Would definitely like to see a video on him.
It would be great to see these levels of power represented in the movies or shows.
I hope they dont mess Plagueis up,it might have been Legends but the story he already had was masterful imo
I will be very interested in how they manage to encapsulate all of this in a TV show. Even just a fraction of this would be plot altering.
I also would like to see more about plagues
What about a holocron about holocrons, the differences between jedi and sith designs and functions
I wish they made a series about Plagueis
Do a holocron on Darth Wyyrlok Darth Caedus Darth Nyriss power and ability
It would have been so cool if it turned out that palpatine only thought that he killed him. He could have been the next big bad. Instead, we got snoke and palpatine again.
I feel like I need to re-read the novel Darth Plagueis agan. I don't think I really grasped his greatness during the first read.
Hi stupendous from the UK can you do a holocron on darth krayt.
Makes me realize that while palpatine is more cunning and has an answer for everything plagueis is the one who wrote the book.
This could be why palp worked so hard to conceal himself.
You should do Darth Bane next
i go to sleep every night to the Darth PLagueis audiobook everynight
I mean, come on, you gotta be pretty badass to have a whole area of study named after you! Even Anakin read up on his Darth Plagueis The Wise studies, and he’s the Chosen One!!!
I would to hear more about Plagueis
plagueis sounds like an extreme character so dark he could have started the sith
Wow interesting . Wondering if you can do a video about if it ever came to it who is stronger dark plagueis vs grandmaster Yoda ?
i think the way theyre going with everything in acolyte the ritual that created anakin was either taken by plagueis from the witches in which he perfected it or the witches were servants of plagueis and almost perfected what he was attempting giving him the step he needed to perfect it but idk
It was not good. They would likely make him a lesbian or brain dead idiot 😁😆
I thought it was a great little touch! What’s the point on giving him in an episode for this series when he himself deserves a much bigger role going forward?
Darth Plaguis trembled when he saw Vader in force vison at his power and anger
From Luceno novel. we learn that Plagueis came from a banker family. He should be smartly dressed in a suit and tie
Agreed big fan
Cute lil sneak peak of the villain thats gonna get defeated very easily in the next Rey Trilogy because she is the best thing since sliced bread💯🔥🔥
