    I liked this era of the Sith for their hypocrisy and weakness of ideology. These Sith were something akin to old money, who had gained much via inheritance but had no understanding of its value. This, culminating in Palpatine electrocuting his drunk, sleeping master who had still not fully tested his own theories (which Sidious would later need to become immortal, but were now lost to time since he had never truly eclipsed Plagueis in skill beyond political maneuvering.)

      @joshdunne8792 11 месяцев назад +29

      I've read a theory that Palpatine did actually achieve immortality. When Palpatine tells Luke to strike him down with all his hatred, Luke actually killing Palpatine would allow him to possess Luke. The son of the chosen one would naturally have unbelievably high midichlorions, meaning Palpatine would have achieved the goal of his predecessors. The theory goes on that if Palpatine killed Plagueis and each sith before them killed their master maybe Darth Bane is simply the one and only Sith, possessing each apprentice after the next

      I like this era as well, for a reason you yourself stated in a video a long time ago.
      This era of Sith werent overtly important people. They weren't warriors, combatants, political leaders, or anyone blatantly obviously influencing the world.
      They were scientists, engineers bankers. were connected people who could influence the Galaxy in subtle and deep ways all hidden in the shadows. They didnt need to fight in the open, they could finance or supply armies with machines or tech to suit their ends and be relatively unknown for their actions.

      I like the Sith which play less than obvious important roles - but still deeply influential ones.
      Tenacious was a scientist and engineer, he was able to supply armies ans governments of his choosing to further his own and the Siths plans, as well as funding himself and influencing the Galaxy at large.
      Plagueis was a banker, and as weve seen in our own world, banking is the less obvious but far more influential aspect of economically influencing the world.
      They arent explicit combatants, they aren't politicians and they remain in the shadows, but heavily influence events and make connections for the next in the Line of the Rule of Two.

    I like how neither Plagueis nor Tenebrous really respected lightsabers, but Tenebrous still enjoyed a duel. I imagine a saber battle is a great way to let oneself slip into the dark side, it's violent, it puts strain on the physical form, and it's extremely dangerous. All good things for sinking oneself deeper into the darkside of the force. It was one of Starkiller's, essentially, meditation methods, typically enjoying his spars with his droid Proxy.

    • @stooge389
      @stooge389 10 месяцев назад +15

      Agreed. Sideous is kinda unique, in that he considered Lightsabers to be a Jedi weapon, and that the Sith had evolved beyond the need for them. Since he was either the best swordsman in the galaxy, or tied with Yoda, depending on how you interpret the outcome of their duel in the Senate Rotunda, it actually does make a lot of sense. He destroyed the Jedi Order while only killing 3 Jedi with his own lightsaber. For him, it was more a contingency plan than anything else. A backup plan, in case he was cornered, as he of course was by Mace and the other 3 cannon fodder- I mean Jedi.

    I like how Tenebrous and Plagueis are one of few force users with a rationalist outlook on the Force. Most Force users, even the Sith, treat the Force as this mystic, religious phenomenon but Nome and Damask treat the Force in an almost entirely scientific manner. It's a unique perspective and I wish we saw more characters use this angle
    I do wonder if the particularly shameful ends of Tenebrous and Plagueis were because the Force itself held them in a special contempt for "demystifying" it. If Palpatine's end was the Force acting in a sort of self-defense, their end was the Force repaying an insult

    • @lordpuller2226
      @lordpuller2226 7 месяцев назад +1

      I think the scientific angle was just one way that the Force explores a dichotomy. In this case science versus mysticism. As much that Tenebrous and Plageus twisted force cells their very act of comprehending the force scientifically laid the groundwork for the jedi prophecy to come true in the form of Anakin Skywalker as the Force converged on Tatooine.

So he set to work on removing the rubble from the ship using telekinesis and adding the rocks to a rubble pile he could climb to reach the surface. Darth Tenebrous is similar to Darth Traya except the only difference is that Traya believes in the will of the Force which ironically is the reason why she wanted to cut off its connection to the galaxy.

    And Then Lord Venomous thinking himself the true heir to the Sith Lord declared himself such. He would soon find an apprentice to follow the will of his master teaching. He would take young Jar Jar binks under his wing with the intention of pushing events so that it seemed that Sidious's plans would come to fruition, only to wait until the right time to strike and take the fools empire from him.

    I like how all the artist renditions of Tenebrous have him wearing a respirator. He never wore one. The only time he wore one is when he went to the planet of Bal'demnic and go into a cave testing Cortosis ore. Other than that he didn’t wear one. Darth Plagueis didn’t wear one until about 30 years before his death because of a assassination attempt. Artist need to stop making Sith Lords with respirators….They all didn’t need them!

    The rule of 2, as was imagined by Darth Bane, died with Tenebrous. Actually, perhaps his master. Tenebrous, like Plageuis, and Sidious had no intention of teaching his apprentice everything he knew.
    Given the fact that Sidious had to sneak attack Plageuis, and Plageuis had to sneak attack Tenebrous; it seems like Tenebrous was probably stronger than either Plageuis or Sidious. I know it's basically confirmed that Sidious was the strongest Sith of all time, but ehhh; was he really? lol

    I am a Sith with many names, Sinister, Vicious, Malicious, Malevolent, but I go by Lord Odious Malefic. Tenebrae or darkness I bring. late Middle English: via Old French from Latin tenebrosus, from tenebrae ‘darkness’.
    ‘Evil’. a manifestation of profound immorality and wickedness, especially in people's actions. (Similar words: Bane) Evil: profoundly immoral and wicked. (Similar words: Sinister, Vicious, Malicious, Malevolent ) Evil: (of a force or spirit) embodying or associated with the forces of the devil. (Similar words: Malefic). I see where Grand Master Lucas: Luke means "light-giving" in Latin. Lucas is a variation of the name Luke. got names from.

    This is extremely stupid and arrogant of Tenebrous. Very stupid. I understand why Plagueis killed him. He was complete failure. It's good he was destroyed. He had great potential,maybe he could became Sith Emperor. But his arrogance and stupidity got better of him. But he was unworthy. Other Sith ghosts confirm it. May the Force be with you too😊

    He really was unworthy. I always believed that the Sith Code was the ultimate path to the Dark Side. Plus always wanted a Sith to take note of the fact that the code mentions Passion but not anger or hatred. I'd say that anger and hatred are part of passion but by not embracing other passionate emotions too they limit their strength, limit their victories and fail to break their chains.
    But yeah, found Tenebrous to be annoying from the start of the novel so he got what he deserved.
