Vishiate didn't want a universe of the dead. He wanted to absorb all the force in the galaxy, to essentialy become a god. He then planned to visit other galaxies and to enjoy living different lives forever. Here is what he says about it. Hero of Tython: "If you kill everyone in the galaxy, you'll be Emperor of nothing. What's the point of all this?" Sith Emperor: "You discern a fraction of reality. Beyond these stars exist other galaxies, other worlds, other beings. I will experience or ignore them as I wish. I will spend eternity becoming everything: a farmer, an artist, a simple man. When the last living thing in the universe finally dies, I will enjoy peace and wait for the cycle to begin again."
Really goes to show how free vitiate was. There was truly no morals that could shackle him, he simply was a force of nature that couldnt be stopped. Crazy to think that if the outlander didnt stop him then he would have suceeded
Tenebrae is the most powerful by far if you ask me. It literally took the Alliance Commander, all of his top lieutenants as well as about 50 force ghosts (including Revan, Marr, and Satele) to finally defeat him. No wonder Sidious was jealous lol.
I mean even the dark side itself hated him. Both sides of the force worked as one to take down a threat to not just the Galaxy, but the entire universe.
I like how you pointed out the game's content but remember first this all happened in Satele's mind. Second they only served as witnesses to his death. In the end it was the force itself that eliminated Tenebrae for reverting to his origonal self. At that point the force no longer had any use for him. Remember like Revan, the Jedi Exile, and the light side Alliance commander (SW/SI/JC/JW) had become conduits in the force like Zakuul and Oddessen containing both light side and dark side energy. They channeled yin and yang to become something more moving beyond the two warring sides. That weakling Sidious schemed from the shadows and never sought to improve after killing his master in his sleep. He trained only if he believed his apprenatices were strong enough to murder him. Sidious was no Sith he was an aberration an insult to the order and his death only served to bring them prosperity like when I killed that fool on Mannan in SWTOR (Light Side Sith Warrior).
It took every Jedi to ever exist to sacrifice themselves in the living force to stop Sidious (Dark Empire), if you’re using Vitiate at all who is entirely legends you have to take Sidious’ legends feats, which are second to not Luke. The novels also say word for word Sidious is the most powerful Sith Lord ever, so there’s that.
Do you imagine that actually Papa team is a huge fanboy but lies about it because he's ashamed to admit that there's no way he can top or even come close to him. So in this weird act of denial he will always just talk Like that's it is not worth my time ironically
The weird thing is that Vitiate did conquer the inherent self destructiveness of the Sith. Something the rest of order could only approximate with the rule of two and even than only if you adhere to the new lore that it exists to basically create one giant amalgation of all the previous Sith masters.
Vitiate: "So you don't like me because I destroyed planets?" Palpatine: "No! Because you weren't efficient about destroying them! Space stations, not Force powers! Also I like my Coruscant Brandy. I want immortality AND my D*CK sucked! That is why you are an abomination!!!!!" Vitiate: "There was this one thing called the Star Forge..." Palpatine: "Go on..."
But the same differences. Melkor hated the created world, he tossed over mountains, emptied oceans and was just that: a destroyer. Sauron wanted to rule, like Sidious, not over a dead, empty world.
That's because Tolkien's universe is so superior in every sense of the way to any other fictional universe that most of them take off of in something, Star Wars being one of those...
@@AndresSztaba The other way around. The Star Wars universe is WAY and FAR MORE SUPERIOR of a universe than that of Middle Earth’s. no argument about that….

Tenebrae killed two planets effortlessly. Once when he was only a youth, and again when he was reviving his mortal body. The second time he only uttered a single word to do it.
I still do not doubt he is the most powerful sith we know of thus far. Like who the actual hell actually manages to eat a planet's life force for breakfast, twice.

Vitiate lost his emotions the moment he became immortal, he lost his passion, imo losing that passion made him lose the key thing that would strengthen him, no passion, no conviction, just a hollow hunger needed to be filled
good point. Passion is the first tenent of the Sith. without it, was he truly a sith? one could argue his passion for achieving godhood was one of them, but what did he have after that? not much.
@@SupersaiyanChristian One could say that Valkorion followed the Sith code to the core . Through Passion (his Passion to become immortal) he gained Strength (he subdued the Sith Lords on Nathema) and gained Power, with his Power he created his Empire on Zakuul and gained Victory setting up his final stage to become free in his new host. But the Force had other ideas.
It wasn't so much that he lost his emotions, as he lost his ability to *feel* - as I understand it, Vitiate actually genuinely lost like 90% of his ability to actually physically experience sensation after Nathema. That loss of capacity of sensation ended up being one of the biggest drivers toward his madness, since Vitiate's biggest drive is his desire to experience all things.
@@ASNS117Zero losing the previous form means losing the motivations (emotions) for what you wanted to do in the first place as if losing yourself what you were so it no longer makes sense that as a husk Vitiate would want to do the same things its like a new individual or a new species or whatever
The story of Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorion is an extremely interesting and complex topic, the taste of it I got from the SWTOR video game has sent me down quite a few research rabbit holes. The idea that it took the alliance commander (who in their own right may have been a powerful force user such as darth nox/occlus/imperius, the wrath, the Jedi Barsen'thor or the Jedi battlemaster of that era) along with the force ghosts of Darth Marr (former head of the dark council before Valkorion killed him), Vaylin, Revan, Bastilla Shan and the millions of other people who the emperor fucked with. In addition to Jedi grandmaster Satele Shan, Sith lord Lana Beniko, Kira Carsen, Lord Scourge and many of the commander's other allies to finally completely defeat all three parts of Valkorion's soul is a testament to the true amount of power he held. In addition, the fact that his reemergence(s) were enough to bring people from pretty much every major power (Jedi, Sith, Mandalorians, The galactic alliance, the reformed infinite empire) together to defeat him also brings up the vast, vast number of lives he impacted. Those two points alone, not to mention all the other stuff I've found in the many wikis and video explanations I've found in my rabbit holes, keep leading me to more questions.
The best video I've seen on comparison of Vitiate and Sidious. Different shades of pure evil. Loved the point that the Light Side requires surrender. Dark Side requires constant sacrifice and destruction.
Could see some real world parallels when it comes to Judeo-Christianity and Satanism. Christianity requires surrender Satanism demands sacrificing and destruction. Passion and Ambition is forbidden in the bible while Satanists live for lust and pleasure. Kinda see where I'm going with this without being too preachy.
@@jconnor117My thoughts exactly! I would just tweak one thing though. God doesn't require you to let go of passion. Rather, through relationship with Jesus, God hones your personality, gifts, and passion to be in the Light. For service for God and people, selfless passion, coming from a place of love, not of greed or vain ambition. Another thing I thought of is that the Light always wins in the end. George Lucas said that the dark side was unnatural and a perversion of the Force. Similarly, what God intended for great good in giving his creations free will, a certain level of power, and access to some of his creation, was perverted by some of his creations, swinging the world into darkness, violence, and death. Yet despite this, the Light has defeated the darkness with a sacrifice of self and bringing redemption through the only one who could - Jesus Christ.
@@Jesse-lo7nw I like the way you think. It would take the child of the Spirit or Force to bring redemption to the Spirit or Force and in turn balance the Universe.
@@jconnor117 the Satanism yall are talking about is mostly mythical and propaganda. Satanism as an actual structured religion is a confrontation of christisn hypocrisy. Maliciously easy for the preacher who holds no faith with his power to accuse others of wrongdoing to hide his own crimes. Christians also have a way more massive kill count over centuries than so called "satanists" in tiny murder cults. America, Africa and the Middle East have been drenched in blood by christian swords and bullets. Reckon with your own skeletons before bringing up "Satan" which is a much more modern invention.
Vitiate had no vision or true purpose for his power, he just wanted it. It was the ONLY thing that had any meaning to him whatsoever. Palpatine believed that the power he had made him the perfect Sith lead them to Galactic domination. Pure evil, yes but it was a purpose. Not to mention that Sidieous had a human side to him. Not in the sense that he had any good inside of him but the fact that he actually had hobbies like going to the Opera or writing books. He had a life outside of being the Emperor while Vitiate just wanted to be an absolute god in a universe of nothingness because he has no human sensations. I think it would definitely be interesting to actually hear what Palpatine thought of this madman. It also explains why he never tried to emulate any of his ideas to achieve more power and immortality, it made him immortal but any passion that Vitiate may have had before was gone.
Through Godhood the Emperor would achieve everything. Tenebrae saw himself above everyone so much so that nothing no one mattered aside from the Outlander (Wrath, Darth Imperious/Nox/ lesser degree 3rd Barsenthor Warden of the Jedi Order/Jedi Battlemaster) and his family. Yet all that would betray/not serve him were treated with contempt. Sidious was just a weak schemer who was able to trick his enemies into destroying one another and in the end destroyed himself. He also made terrible strategic moves with the worst being the destruction of Alderan. It was just as Leia said in Episode 4 a new hope. There's my thoughts sorry for the spelling.
I have to disagree from purely objective side sidus was never evil he always in his mind did see himself as the good guy while vitiate wanted to be everyone and no-one to feel everside. Also sidius being weak enough that ancient sith spirit nearly killed him while vitiate could devour them if he pleased and sidius did bad stuff for a reason meaning larger scale invasion and destruction of universer makes sidius a anti hero while vitiate is just purely true neutral as nothing which doesn't last for eternity never matters. only thinh which is evil is character who are evil for evils sake and understand they are doing evil.

some of the stuff he did was akin to what an actual demon unleashed form the pit would do. To even the most psychologically damaged Sith, the bizarre experiments and treacherous grand plans of the old Sith Emperor pursued were unquestionably abominable.

If there is One Thing that is Good to Know About Palpatine as a Sith In Comparison To Vitiate Is Life Lives on under Palpatine where as if Vitiate won everything would Wind Up Dead
I mean depends if you lived in the main galaxy he wanted to absord everything in the main galaxy and just live countless lives in others and experience them or just out right ignire them
I don't think that Palpatine would have been satisfied with just ruling everyone. He wanted to push the definition of domination. He wwas incapable of caring. If he could have put everyone's brain in a box that allowed them to only experience the worst pain without end and kept them alive and never used to it he would have because that much pain would have fueled his power. He wanted to rule over a galaxy of the utterly subjugated where he got to choose everyone's fate. He basically wanted the same thing Valkorian wanted except he didn't want to BE everyone. He wanted to control everyone.
Palpatine wanted to rule everything and everyone. Absolutely and forevermore. No short cuts. Tenebrae, on the hand, was perfectly willing to take shortcuts. He just wanted more power and didn't care what he had to do to get it. And eventually stopped caring about ruling over everyone.
He had become so powerful that he believed he was a God. In the end the force chosen to dispose of him. Imagine a God choses a toy to play with and then dispose of when it gets bored. That is what happened. The mortis gods served a purpose but their actions proved to be their undoing while Tenebrae lost his purpose when he returned to his original body upon death reverting to the point of irrelevancy. Except they have similar accolades, Sidious by ROTS and ROTJ is stated as the most powerful Sith lord in all of history. Authors placed Sidious alongside Vitiate in statements Sidious explicitly learnt of what Vitiate could do from Plaugeis telling him. Finally as said in SethTheProgrammers video there was Twitter statement from an author that said they are relative in power.
@DMBLaan I am pretty sure the statement just calls the strongest sith or the strongest sith in history. There is no mention of rule of 2 era. Plus he is the rival to Yoda (most devastatingly powerful foe the darkness had ever known). Based on narrative, Sidious should be far superior
@YuvrajSingh-lx6lu like many things, there are retcons upon retcons, for better or worse. The Old Republic Era wasn't really fleshed out until after Epiode 2 came out. So I admit this is technically more of an "opinion" than a "fact", but if you compare the 2 together as they were at their most powerful points, there's really no way Sidious is stronger in the Force than Viciate
Valkorion: "You are nothing more than a pretender." Sidious: "You are nothing but something feeble and old, long past your prime." Valkorion: "Old? Far from it. You age, I live on forever. I am everything. You are nothing. The rule of two, now was it. A creation of that Darth Revan I take it. I am who created him." Sidious: "..." Valkorion: "Why even take on an apprentice? You merely need a new vessel if your old one becomes unnecessary. Rise beyond your station, seize everything, become everything. That is what it means to be a true... emperor."
To Sidious power only meant something if he could wield it in such a way that others would fear it. To Vitiate it meant wiping out existence entirely, to literally be the only being in the universe.
Valkorion did not want to end all life. He wanted to create a utopia where he would have free reign to try everything and be everything. A farmer, an artist, a simple man. That was the goal of zakuul. He never intended for zakuul to be swallowed up by him when he wanted to do his ritual again. This was confirmed by charles boyd, lead writer. Even if we want to ignore kotfe, we saw what he said to the jedi knight in 1.0. Even if he swallowed up the entire galaxy, he would travel to all other galaxies and live out his life as everything and anything. And once life eventually ended, he would watch it end and restart once more. He was a person who loved life. Unlike the sith, who only want power for the sake of power, his power was just a means to an end. He wanted to live as long as possible and see and experience everything he could. He definitely stopped being a sith when he founded zakuul and only played the part of the emperor as a means to his own end.
He's literally a genocidal maniac hellbent on murdering trillions of people for his own personal ambition. The "utopia" he wanted to create was for himself and himself alone. You're right that Vitiate isn't a Sith, he's something much, much worse
I agree. Vitiate stopped following the rules of the Sith and created his own Sith empire and then created another empire elsewhere. He eventually stopped caring about the force. He believed he was above both the light and the dark side. He believed he was the master of the force. Palpatine didn't care about the laws of the Galactic Republic. He cared about some human life. He always remained 100% devoted to the Sith and dark side.
I sometimes wonder if maybe Palpatine pushed for the death star to use it to feed on mass death to be come immortal much like Tenebrae did to Nathema with Zildrog.
No, it was intended for what was stated: the capacity to kill a planet. He made it because he wanted to focus more on fully studying the Dark Side than running his Empire and delegate the running of it to the Moffs, Governors, and Vader. Mind you, he wasn’t giving up any power and Tarkin suspected that Palpatine had something planned in the event that whoever ran the Death Star tried to overthrow him but he wanted to not have to run the Empire.
Sidious did not work for the good of the Sith. He purposely held back Darth Vader and did everything he could to avoid being replaced by someone more powerful.
@@joshuatoms7664I don’t know if that’s what that means, if you hold back information they can’t get elsewhere I don’t know if that’s manipulation. Also the whole reason many of them turn is due to manipulation.
@@joshuatoms7664 the problem with that is that Vader wasn’t trained to be cunning or deceptive, but as a tool and enforcer. Sidious’ training under plagueis and the rule of two was through deception and infiltration, while Vader was trained through trials and combat. Brains and brawn is how I would describe it. Sidious had eyes everywhere and was always steps ahead if Vader ever tried to secretly overthrow him. Which is why Vader always tried to kill Sidious through strength and power rather than elaborate schemes. Vader even at his fullest potential was never powerful enough to defeat Sidious and could only accomplish this with an ally that surpassed his power and rivaled Sidious’. Attempting to undermine Sidious’ manipulation was never in the cards for Vader.
The rule of 2 was an embarrassing system. The Sith spent 1000 years planning to rule for 27 years? The jedi lived in temples and flew starships while the sith were in the shadows.

After reading chapter 408 of My Hero Academia. With AFO’s true origin story revealed, reminded me a bit to Vicious, and Palpatine. A “leach” ever since he was in his mother’s womb. Someone who sought “absolution” because his feeble mind made him genuinely believe that “everything” and “everyone” belong to him, and was his for the taking.
Vitiate is like a black hole. He was the singularity of the all power. If he was everlasting and vacuumed up all energy, force, life, even gravity. Then, he just was there, in space, doing nothing. Is that winning? Is letting everyone continue to fight good? The end all option is peace? Who's insane?
As evil as Sidious was he had a purpose, a belief that in his hands the galaxy would forever prosper. Sidious had a life he enjoyed beyond just being the Emperor and the pursuit of power. Vitiate was simply evil incarnate, even from birth he was an emotionless ruthless monster. Even before he performed the ritual that drained the life of everything on his home world, he was quite obviously a depraved psychopath, who only craved one thing, power. He didn’t care what he had to do to get this power. He would destroy anyone or anything to get it. He betrayed all Sith and the empire to build a new civilisation to destroy everything. His ultimate plan was to perform the same rituals he used on Nathema and Ziost on the entire galaxy. The ritual didn’t just kill everything it left the planet dead, no wind, no water, trees, even the force itself was drained. He would have been a being of unimaginable power but probably would have just continued to destroy life until there was nothing left in the universe. Vitiate really was the Dark Side made manifest. Sidious was a Sith not a maniac. He only ever talked about Sith he respected and believed he could learn things from. He didn’t believe there was anything to be learned from Vitiate, because he fundamentally betrayed what it meant to be a Sith when he decided to kill everyone. Like Sidious said, “I do not wish to rule a galaxy of the dead”. I don’t consider Vitiate as a Sith Emperor after he left it to begin his creation of the Immortal Empire. After that he was just the ultimate embodiment of the dark side.
Did you listened what that guy said in this video? When Palpatine said we shall have peace it was a manipulation, he had no belief galaxy would prosper under him. Valkorian is the one that sees himself as good guy, he believed he would bring permanent peace to galaxy, even if it is extremely twisted. If he killed everyone because there would be no one left and there would be no conflicts anymore, while Palpatine didn t want to kill everyone in the galaxy because he wanted to make citizens slowly suffer. If they were all dead he could no longer do that. I do agree about everything else you said tho.
@@Morgunth86 Yeah I do disagree somewhat, Palpatine wanted immortality to be able to rule the galaxy as he saw fit until the end of time. Star Wars to me is a mirror of the wants and needs of the average person. George Lucas is a fabulous storyteller in the sense that he illustrates how easy it is for people to accept horrible things for order, security and prosperity I.e Nazi Germany. The Empire did some bad stuff but if you were completely obedient and loyal to it you would probably live a happy life. Most species and groups in Star Wars didn’t care about some alien groups being enslaved because most found ways of living in the Empire. Palpatine’s massive mistake was Wilhuff Tarkin, who is sort of a mix of Heinrich Himmler/Hermann Goering. Tarkin was a human supremacist, aristocracratic complete nut case. He believed that his terror doctrine would destroy any rebellion. When in fact the Death Stars bankrupted the Empire, and finally rallied the people who were happy with order under Totalitarian rule to action. Until the destruction of Alderann, the Rebellion didn’t have a chance in hell of winning. As soon as that peaceful loyal member of the Empire was destroyed because of Tarkin’s arrogance, the Empire was doomed. I actually think that Palpatine did mean it when he said “we shall have peace” without the Jedi or any obvious enemies that would be peace. After he wiped out the Jedi, Palps spent the majority of his time studying Sith alchemy and artefacts. He left all the Jedi hunting to Vader and the Inquisition, all the rebel hunting to Tarkin and his human supremacist allies. Palps pretty much decided that after Vader got beaten and mutilated that he was looking for a new apprentice. But also he started to develop his new Sith doctrine of the rule of one. IMO Dark Council with Darth Marr, Sidius, Malgus, Wrath, Acinna, Nox, Lana Beniko, Bane, Revan, Wrath, Dooku and Tulak Hord would be perfect Sith Rule.
Sidious would never share power, same with Bane and Tulak Hord. The rest would unironically make a good society. Though really you just need Lana and Marr.
@DarthNox66 Bane is completely opposed to the idea of a Sith Empire as it existed before Russan. And cooperation and power sharing is necessary to have a functional Empire. Otherwise it falls apart into infighting
Wait what, this isn't about Darth Nox. Seriously though, I love this about Sidious how he never strayed from the Dark Side and achieved his state of power through purely Dark Side means, where as Valkorion embraced both sides and he still died in the end. Which his flawed thinking in embracing both sides, through the Dark Side he created a Sith Empire that existed for around 1000+ years and then created the Eternal Empire that lasted for like 5 years after he abandoned the way of the Sith. Valkorion disregarded the teachings of the Sith and look how that ended for him.
Starting off the EternalEmpire of Zakuul stood for about 1,000 years being founded by Tenebrae some time after the great hyperspace war ended.
@@samirsaweras231 Well, first off, Sidius himself said that Alderaan shouldn't be destroyed, it was Tarkin idea and he did this, not Palps. Second of, you are talking about Valkorion not Tenebre or Vitiate. Main difference is that Tenebre and Vitiate kina wanted to became a God of Death that could rivale Abeloth power (this was their plan, not an actuall reality), while Valkorion at the begining wanted same, but then, how Tenebre said this? He get distracted by lower things like family, Zakuul and finding worthy heir. Don't get me wrong, all 3 versions are pure evil, but Valkorion is most sane of them all. He really loved Senya in some way, and he wanted his sons to become worthy heir, and when they become a disapointment he chose Outlander, and depends which class you play (Im considering only Force Users): Knight: wanted Zakuul to blend in Republic and win against Sith Empie Consular: IDK, I didn't played, but probably read some books, Warrior: He wanted do restore and fix Sith Empire by getting read of egoistical Sith and make Malgus, Sidius and Marr vision to become true Inquisitor: Nox would probably the only one that Valkorion would call worthy as he is not atached to any institution like Republic or Empire. Nox wpuld most likely beat both Sith and Republic, United them, and make them weak enough to not start another war, we can say that, heh, he would creat an Eternal Allience.
Valkorion is a copy of Palpatine, from a game that i doubt is cannon. It's why Palpatine doesn't mention Vitiate very often, most writers will write from the side of Disney whom won't touch the material. Maybe in the future they will, or a throw away line in a comic might be there sometimes. But in no way it's cannon. It's a good thing, because it's not perfect but at least disney won't ruin that universe.
I think, if Sidious legitimately hated Vitiate, he'd have tested the Death Star, either one of them, on Nathema. Like, less as a "Ha! I blew up this idiot's homeworld" and more like "Oh, that was Vitiate's old homeworld? Eh, doesn't matter, the Death Star worked, and that's what matters right now."
He was way more strategic than to waste the destructive power of the Death Star on a dead planet that nobody knew existed or cared about. If he hated Tenebrae it was out of jealousy. This was a guy who conquered his home planet, as a 13-year-old, through brute Force. That's something Sheev never managed, he went the political route. Most likely because he had to resort to that, or he would have been hunted down and destroyed by the Jedi. He was a greater genius and more deceptive but he was simply not strong enough to gain influence in the way Tenebrae did. And he definitely didn't impact the galaxy for 1500 years.
I think that's a Bad idea. Blowing up Alderaan is one thing, but a Planet that has Sith Tombs and Sith SPirits on it, is probably a verrrrrry bad idea. Same thing with Yavin4. It is known to have the Spirits of Naga Sadow, Exar Kun and many others on it. Imagine if the Galactic Empire succeeded in blowing up Yavin4. My Goodness, Darth vader and Palpatine will be Haunted for their entire life by angry Sith Spirits. A Good thing that Palpatine wasn't there. The jedi might've felt Alderaan's Destruction, but the Sith would sense Yavin4's Destruction like a Dagger stabbing in their heart. Sith should never destroy sith planets like Korriban, Ziost,... there is not evena clue if Nathema and Zakuul still exist in WIld Space. By the time of the Clone Wars they could already be destroyed or devoured by a Black Hole or SOmething. Wild Space is more unpredictable then the Unknown Regions.
I honestly know next to nothing about Vitiate. But one thing I noticed was he had soft eyes. Never looked crazy. Always looking calmer than any other pictures of other Sith. Why is that?
3:20 That's not true. Palpatine also mastered essence transfer and he created clone bodies for his essence to be transferred to, so his immortality was far more secured in oppose to Vitiate who had to live in constantly risk of ending in Chaos. If Palpatine's clone bodies were not destroyed he would have lived forever.
Vitiate never bent the essence of existence itself (the force storm), Sidious did. And a lot of his feats in SWTOR at least are on other planes of existence where it’s easier to do stuff, palpatine never had such qualifiers to his power.
The ancient sith don't even got a breath of an existence on sidious. The best in the old republic is draining a planet which is planet surface level. Tpm sidious is enough as he shook planets, stars and formed constellations with his aura alone. By feats Tpm sidious > everyone in the old republic 😂

What I love most about Sidious is that, yes he is ultimate evil, but he represent a highly principled expression of evil. He may seem insane but he does everything thoughtfully and with full intention. That's what makes him the greatest villain. He's not just some brute that wants to destroy and rule
Which of the two had the strongest apprentices/acolytes or followers? I apologize if this is a stupid question. I just think that a strong leader, therefore best emperor, is really important to answer that question of which emperor is strongest or best. 🤷🏻♂️
0:04 I listened 4 seconds and... No Palpatine was never the culmination of the rule of 2. He broke it. Maul, Dooku (Darth Tyrannus, roughly in the same time) while planing for Anakin, the inquisitors. Wanting Luke to join while his disciple was still alive and kicking more ass than anybody else. He lost the way of 2 mostly wanting everything for himself. He destroyed the sith way and had no redundancy but himself. Which was very sadly transported over in the sequels.
8:24 yes maybe Valkorion says that but, remember Valkorion is an incarnation of Tenebrae and I can guarantee Tenebrae would have never agreed to this philosophy. It's even stated that by Tenebrae that Valkorion had become complacent and weak by taking on a family. So Tenebrae was the true Sith Lord and could not be matched even by Sidious EVER!!
It's fascinating to me how a fictional thing like the Force reveals so much about human nature and psychology. There's a lot of insight, even on the dark side.
I'd think Sidius worshiped himself as well.. if he did not yet see himself as above the Dark Side that he sought control over.. in time he would have. The nature of Sidius had him seeing himself above all.. with one rule for himself and other rules for others. The Code of the Sith supports this in its final two lines "Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken." The more power Sidius obtains, the less the rules apply to him and this would include the Dark Side's hold over him as well. The Dark Side exacts its 'pound of flesh'? Yes, but Sidius intended to get that pound back, with interest. Just as Sidius betrayed his mortal master, Darth Plagueis, eventually Sidius would have also betrayed the Dark Side once he felt he had enough power. This would not have taken the form of a turn to the light, nothing would draw Sidius down that path. His betrayal would have simply been a shedding of any semblance of control or limitations the Dark Side might have sought to place upon him. For Sidius, it would be "My will, not thine be done".
What's the point of all this?"
Sith Emperor: "You discern a fraction of reality. Beyond these stars exist other galaxies, other worlds, other beings. I will experience or ignore them as I wish. Fax’s

To Sidious power only meant something if he could wield it in such a way that others would fear it. To Vitiate it meant wiping out existence entirely, to literally be the only being in the universe.
Valkorion is an excellent character and the Swtor mmo cinematics are unmatched in story telling.
"He was in constant, excruciating pain, with no way to numb his senses" wow just @ me next time
Vicious endgame was similar to that of “The End” from Sonic: Frontiers. “PEACE” through “OBLIVION.”
Palpatine just salty cause He just didn’t have that Valkorian Drip
I sometimes wonder if maybe Palpatine pushed for the death star to use it to feed on mass death to be come immortal much like Tenebrae did to Nathema with Zildrog.
Or darth nihilus
No, it was intended for what was stated: the capacity to kill a planet. He made it because he wanted to focus more on fully studying the Dark Side than running his Empire and delegate the running of it to the Moffs, Governors, and Vader. Mind you, he wasn’t giving up any power and Tarkin suspected that Palpatine had something planned in the event that whoever ran the Death Star tried to overthrow him but he wanted to not have to run the Empire.
@@ianferguson6244 That's one opinion. At this point probably doesn't matter, the sequels ran this property into the ground.
With your birth comes a solemn vow: You will have nothing.
Sidious did not work for the good of the Sith. He purposely held back Darth Vader and did everything he could to avoid being replaced by someone more powerful.
its a self defeating philosophy where selfishness is a limiter that sabotages maximising potential
If Vader was not strong enough to overcome his master's manipulations, then he wasn't strong enough to take his place. That's how it works.
Thats why palpatine was weak af
Plagueis was a multibillionaire financier, Tenebrous was a multimillionaire ship designer...they didn't live in the shadows.
Rule of one
By the time Plaugeis comes in the true philosophy of rule of 2 had been lost. The fault was not the philosophy but the individuals who carried it out.

Another masterpiece of your creation
After reading chapter 408 of My Hero Academia. With AFO’s true origin story revealed, reminded me a bit to Vicious, and Palpatine. A “leach” ever since he was in his mother’s womb. Someone who sought “absolution” because his feeble mind made him genuinely believe that “everything” and “everyone” belong to him, and was his for the taking.
Darth nox> palpatine
Vitiate is like a black hole. He was the singularity of the all power.
If he was everlasting and vacuumed up all energy, force, life, even gravity.
Then, he just was there, in space, doing nothing.
Is that winning? Is letting everyone continue to fight good?
The end all option is peace?
Who's insane?
And that's guy who ordered his most loyal puppet to destroy a home planet of the leader of rebellions.
Thank you for explaining it I think you done a good job, but I still prefer Vitiate.
Can you talk more about Vitiate?
Love your videos
As much as he was an evil bastard, he didn’t take time out of his day to torture your average citizen. In truth all he wanted was absolute obedience and in return he would grant prosperity and order. Vitiate had no concept of peace, his peace was a universe of absolutely nothing, as Stupendous wave said. But nice to have some differing opinions, be well, hopefully Disney kill Darth KK before she destroys what’s left of Star Wars 👍🙏
@@spursultra3158 Nah, Tarkin is the one that wants Order and Peace, Palpatine doesn t even have "Delusional" category on his Villains Wiki page. Which if you don t know is category for villains that see themselves as good guys.
@@Morgunth86 If you actually look at Legends and Canon, Tarkin is the one who orchestrates most of the massacres. I’m not saying that Palpatine was good, but the Sith had a belief in order through strength and power. So all his efforts went into finding immortality. You can’t always trust wookiepedia especially since they changed the canon. As far as I’m concerned Palpatine was Neutral Evil, rather than chaotic, in some respects he’s actually lawful evil. After he whacked the Jedi he just lived it up and built stuff, partied, went to the opera, and researched immortality. Only periodically surfacing to sort out a political crisis or get Vader back on track. Think about it, most Imperial citizens hated the Jedi and the republic, loved order and control. Most imperials were like Thrawn, they were fair, loyal and competent. It was Tarkin’s people and the ISB that were zealots. Also you can’t disagree that Tarkin stuffed up blowing up Alderann in canon and legends that was what made half the galaxy side with the rebels.
@@spursultra3158 Would you care to explain why Palpatine is Neutral Evil? I mean it is true, but the fact you think he believes he is bringing peace to galaxy originally seemed like you think he is Lawful Evil. So could you tell me how can you say he is Neutral Evil despite the fact you think he believes he is bringing peace to the galaxy?
The most powerful is Sidious.
The films make him look stupid when he doesn’t stop electrocuting himself, but it doesn’t change the fact that Sidious is the most powerful Sith of all time. Also, one of the best villains of all time.
Darth Vishiate is, Morgoth, while Sidious is Sauron. One wanted destruction and to rebuild the universe, and the other want order, and dominion over others.

Starting off the EternalEmpire of Zakuul stood for about 1,000 years being founded by Tenebrae some time after the great hyperspace war ended.
@@samirsaweras231 Well, first off, Sidius himself said that Alderaan shouldn't be destroyed, it was Tarkin idea and he did this, not Palps. He get distracted by lower things like family, Zakuul and finding worthy heir. Don't get me wrong, all 3 versions are pure evil, but Valkorion is most sane of them all. He really loved Senya in some way, and he wanted his sons to become worthy heir, and when they become a disapointment he chose Outlander, and depends which class you play (Im considering only Force Users):
Knight: wanted Zakuul to blend in Republic and win against Sith Empie
Consular: IDK, I didn't played, but probably read some books,
Warrior: He wanted do restore and fix Sith Empire by getting read of egoistical Sith and make Malgus, Sidius and Marr vision to become true
Inquisitor: Nox would probably the only one that Valkorion would call worthy as he is not atached to any institution like Republic or Empire.

I’d like to know Sidious’ views on his homeworld Naboo
I think, if Sidious legitimately hated Vitiate, he'd have tested the Death Star, either one of them, on Nathema. Like, less as a "Ha! I blew up this idiot's homeworld" and more like "Oh, that was Vitiate's old homeworld? Eh, doesn't matter, the Death Star worked, and that's what matters right now."
That's what Palpatine wants you to think 😂 In reality he's thinking like Robot Chicken Sidious

Palpatine surpassed vitiate in Dark Empire
Vitiate never bent the essence of existence itself (the force storm), Sidious did. And a lot of his feats in SWTOR at least are on other planes of existence where it’s easier to do stuff, palpatine never had such qualifiers to his power.

I listened 4 seconds and...
Vitiate was great in his original body to young adult... But for thousands of years he is somewhat stagnant?
It's fascinating to me how a fictional thing like the Force reveals so much about human nature and psychology. There's a lot of insight, even on the dark side.
I'd think Sidius worshiped himself as well.. if he did not yet see himself as above the Dark Side that he sought control over.. in time he would have. The nature of Sidius had him seeing himself above all.. with one rule for himself and other rules for others. The Code of the Sith supports this in its final two lines "Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken."
The more power Sidius obtains, the less the rules apply to him and this would include the Dark Side's hold over him as well.
