Vishiate didn't want a universe of the dead. He wanted to absorb all the force in the galaxy, to essentialy become a god. He then planned to visit other galaxies and to enjoy living different lives forever. Here is what he says about it.
Hero of Tython: "If you kill everyone in the galaxy, you'll be Emperor of nothing. What's the point of all this?"
Sith Emperor: "You discern a fraction of reality. Beyond these stars exist other galaxies, other worlds, other beings. I will experience or ignore them as I wish. I will spend eternity becoming everything: a farmer, an artist, a simple man. When the last living thing in the universe finally dies, I will enjoy peace and wait for the cycle to begin again."

I like how you pointed out the game's content but remember first this all happened in Satele's mind. Second they only served as witnesses to his death. In the end it was the force itself that eliminated Tenebrae for reverting to his origonal self. At that point the force no longer had any use for him. Remember like Revan, the Jedi Exile, and the light side Alliance commander (SW/SI/JC/JW) had become conduits in the force like Zakuul and Oddessen containing both light side and dark side energy. They channeled yin and yang to become something more moving beyond the two warring sides. That weakling Sidious schemed from the shadows and never sought to improve after killing his master in his sleep. He trained only if he believed his apprenatices were strong enough to murder him. Sidious was no Sith he was an aberration an insult to the order and his death only served to bring them prosperity like when I killed that fool on Mannan in SWTOR (Light Side Sith Warrior).

The story of Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorion is an extremely interesting and complex topic, the taste of it I got from the SWTOR video game has sent me down quite a few research rabbit holes. The idea that it took the alliance commander (who in their own right may have been a powerful force user such as darth nox/occlus/imperius, the wrath, the Jedi Barsen'thor or the Jedi battlemaster of that era) along with the force ghosts of Darth Marr (former head of the dark council before Valkorion killed him), Vaylin, Revan, Bastilla Shan and the millions of other people who the emperor fucked with. In addition to Jedi grandmaster Satele Shan, Sith lord Lana Beniko, Kira Carsen, Lord Scourge and many of the commander's other allies to finally completely defeat all three parts of Valkorion's soul is a testament to the true amount of power he held. In addition, the fact that his reemergence(s) were enough to bring people from pretty much every major power (Jedi, Sith, Mandalorians, The galactic alliance, the reformed infinite empire) together to defeat him also brings up the vast, vast number of lives he impacted. Those two points alone, not to mention all the other stuff I've found in the many wikis and video explanations I've found in my rabbit holes, keep leading me to more questions.

Not in the sense that he had any good inside of him but the fact that he actually had hobbies like going to the Opera or writing books. He had a life outside of being the Emperor while Vitiate just wanted to be an absolute god in a universe of nothingness because he has no human sensations. If he could have put everyone's brain in a box that allowed them to only experience the worst pain without end and kept them alive and never used to it he would have because that much pain would have fueled his power. Valkorion did not want to end all life. He wanted to create a utopia where he would have free reign to try everything and be everything. A farmer, an artist, a simple man. That was the goal of zakuul. He never intended for zakuul to be swallowed up by him when he wanted to do his ritual again. This was confirmed by charles boyd, lead writer.
Even if we want to ignore kotfe, we saw what he said to the jedi knight in 1.0. Even if he swallowed up the entire galaxy, he would travel to all other galaxies and live out his life as everything and anything. And once life eventually ended, he would watch it end and restart once more.
He was a person who loved life. Unlike the sith, who only want power for the sake of power, his power was just a means to an end. He wanted to live as long as possible and see and experience everything he could. He definitely stopped being a sith when he founded zakuul and only played the part of the emperor as a means to his own end.

As evil as Sidious was he had a purpose, a belief that in his hands the galaxy would forever prosper. Sidious had a life he enjoyed beyond just being the Emperor and the pursuit of power. Vitiate was simply evil incarnate, even from birth he was an emotionless ruthless monster. Even before he performed the ritual that drained the life of everything on his home world, he was quite obviously a depraved psychopath, who only craved one thing, power. He didn’t care what he had to do to get this power. He would destroy anyone or anything to get it. He betrayed all Sith and the empire to build a new civilisation to destroy everything. His ultimate plan was to perform the same rituals he used on Nathema and Ziost on the entire galaxy. The ritual didn’t just kill everything it left the planet dead, no wind, no water, trees, even the force itself was drained. He would have been a being of unimaginable power but probably would have just continued to destroy life until there was nothing left in the universe. Vitiate really was the Dark Side made manifest. Sidious was a Sith not a maniac. He only ever talked about Sith he respected and believed he could learn things from. He didn’t believe there was anything to be learned from Vitiate, because he fundamentally betrayed what it meant to be a Sith when he decided to kill everyone. Like Sidious said, “I do not wish to rule a galaxy of the dead”. I don’t consider Vitiate as a Sith Emperor after he left it to begin his creation of the Immortal Empire. After that he was just the ultimate embodiment of the dark side.

@@Morgunth86 Yeah I do disagree somewhat, Palpatine wanted immortality to be able to rule the galaxy as he saw fit until the end of time. As much as he was an evil bastard, he didn’t take time out of his day to torture your average citizen. In truth all he wanted was absolute obedience and in return he would grant prosperity and order. Star Wars to me is a mirror of the wants and needs of the average person. George Lucas is a fabulous storyteller in the sense that he illustrates how easy it is for people to accept horrible things for order, security and prosperity I.e Nazi Germany. The Empire did some bad stuff but if you were completely obedient and loyal to it you would probably live a happy life. Most species and groups in Star Wars didn’t care about some alien groups being enslaved because most found ways of living in the Empire. Palpatine’s massive mistake was Wilhuff Tarkin, who is sort of a mix of Heinrich Himmler/Hermann Goering. Tarkin was a human supremacist, aristocracratic complete nut case. He believed that his terror doctrine would destroy any rebellion. When in fact the Death Stars bankrupted the Empire, and finally rallied the people who were happy with order under Totalitarian rule to action. Until the destruction of Alderann, the Rebellion didn’t have a chance in hell of winning. As soon as that peaceful loyal member of the Empire was destroyed because of Tarkin’s arrogance, the Empire was doomed. I actually think that Palpatine did mean it when he said “we shall have peace” without the Jedi or any obvious enemies that would be peace. Vitiate had no concept of peace, his peace was a universe of absolutely nothing, as Stupendous wave said. But nice to have some differing opinions, be well, hopefully Disney kill Darth KK before she destroys what’s left of Star Wars 👍🙏

@@Morgunth86 If you actually look at Legends and Canon, Tarkin is the one who orchestrates most of the massacres. I’m not saying that Palpatine was good, but the Sith had a belief in order through strength and power. After he wiped out the Jedi, Palps spent the majority of his time studying Sith alchemy and artefacts. He left all the Jedi hunting to Vader and the Inquisition, all the rebel hunting to Tarkin and his human supremacist allies. Palps pretty much decided that after Vader got beaten and mutilated that he was looking for a new apprentice. But also he started to develop his new Sith doctrine of the rule of one. So all his efforts went into finding immortality. You can’t always trust wookiepedia especially since they changed the canon. As far as I’m concerned Palpatine was Neutral Evil, rather than chaotic, in some respects he’s actually lawful evil. After he whacked the Jedi he just lived it up and built stuff, partied, went to the opera, and researched immortality. Only periodically surfacing to sort out a political crisis or get Vader back on track. Think about it, most Imperial citizens hated the Jedi and the republic, loved order and control. Most imperials were like Thrawn, they were fair, loyal and competent. It was Tarkin’s people and the ISB that were zealots. Also you can’t disagree that Tarkin stuffed up blowing up Alderann in canon and legends that was what made half the galaxy side with the rebels.

Seriously though, I love this about Sidious how he never strayed from the Dark Side and achieved his state of power through purely Dark Side means, where as Valkorion embraced both sides and he still died in the end. Which his flawed thinking in embracing both sides, through the Dark Side he created a Sith Empire that existed for around 1000+ years and then created the Eternal Empire that lasted for like 5 years after he abandoned the way of the Sith.
Valkorion disregarded the teachings of the Sith and look how that ended for him.

Starting off the EternalEmpire of Zakuul stood for about 1,000 years being founded by Tenebrae some time after the great hyperspace war ended.
Through Godhood the Emperor would achieve everything. Tenebrae saw himself above everyone so much so that nothing no one mattered aside from the Outlander (Wrath, Darth Imperious/Nox/ lesser degree 3rd Barsenthor Warden of the Jedi Order/Jedi Battlemaster) and his family. Yet all that would betray/not serve him were treated with contempt. Sidious was just a weak schemer who was able to trick his enemies into destroying one another and in the end destroyed himself. He also made terrible strategic moves with the worst being the destruction of Alderan. It was just as Leia said in Episode 4 a new hope. There's my thoughts sorry for the spelling.

    • @DarthNox66
      @DarthNox66 4 месяца назад +3

@@samirsaweras231 Well, first off, Sidius himself said that Alderaan shouldn't be destroyed, it was Tarkin idea and he did this, not Palps. Second of, you are talking about Valkorion not Tenebre or Vitiate. Main difference is that Tenebre and Vitiate kina wanted to became a God of Death that could rivale Abeloth power (this was their plan, not an actuall reality), while Valkorion at the begining wanted same, but then, how Tenebre said this? He get distracted by lower things like family, Zakuul and finding worthy heir. Don't get me wrong, all 3 versions are pure evil, but Valkorion is most sane of them all. He really loved Senya in some way, and he wanted his sons to become worthy heir, and when they become a disapointment he chose Outlander, and depends which class you play (Im considering only Force Users):
Knight: wanted Zakuul to blend in Republic and win against Sith Empie
Consular: IDK, I didn't played, but probably read some books,
Warrior: He wanted do restore and fix Sith Empire by getting read of egoistical Sith and make Malgus, Sidius and Marr vision to become true
Inquisitor: Nox would probably the only one that Valkorion would call worthy as he is not atached to any institution like Republic or Empire. Nox wpuld most likely beat both Sith and Republic, United them, and make them weak enough to not start another war, we can say that, heh, he would creat an Eternal Allience.

He was way more strategic than to waste the destructive power of the Death Star on a dead planet that nobody knew existed or cared about. If he hated Tenebrae it was out of jealousy. This was a guy who conquered his home planet, as a 13-year-old, through brute Force. That's something Sheev never managed, he went the political route. Most likely because he had to resort to that, or he would have been hunted down and destroyed by the Jedi. He was a greater genius and more deceptive but he was simply not strong enough to gain influence in the way Tenebrae did. And he definitely didn't impact the galaxy for 1500 years.

Same thing with Yavin4. It is known to have the Spirits of Naga Sadow, Exar Kun and many others on it.
Imagine if the Galactic Empire succeeded in blowing up Yavin4.
My Goodness, Darth vader and Palpatine will be Haunted for their entire life by angry Sith Spirits.
A Good thing that Palpatine wasn't there. The jedi might've felt Alderaan's Destruction, but the Sith would sense Yavin4's Destruction like a Dagger stabbing in their heart.
Sith should never destroy sith planets like Korriban, Ziost,... there is not evena clue if Nathema and Zakuul still exist in WIld Space. By the time of the Clone Wars they could already be destroyed or devoured by a Black Hole or SOmething. Wild Space is more unpredictable then the Unknown Regions.

Here’s the thing though vitiate started many wars in his time, and it was stated many times he “ fed “ on the death these wars caused around the galaxy, but I think it’s different than that instead of him feeding on it personally I think those deaths we’re basically sacrifices to the dark side in exchange of his immortality, I also believe his ritual of the 8000 Sith Lords and the force essence of nathima itself was all a sacrifice to the dark side once again in exchange for power that he possessed, even him gaining immortality was a sacrifice of a since, he gifted immortality to scourge and scourge said he was in immediate and constant pain, he asked vitiate how long it would last and vitiate said eventually you will grow numb to your suffering and that this was the price of immortality, the only thing vitiate wasn’t willing to sacrifice to the dark side was his own life but everything else was fair game and I believe as far as sacrificing others he was more willing perhaps than other sith in history to sacrifice in exchange for the gifts of the dark side

He lost the way of 2 mostly wanting everything for himself.
He destroyed the sith way and had no redundancy but himself.
Which was very sadly transported over in the sequels.

In Knights of the Republic II, Kreya had similar views regarding the Force as Vitiate. But she never went beyond breaking the dependence on the Force, as she saw this dependence as a weakness.
When it comes to consuming the Force, there’s another Dark Lord, though it had become instinct to him, and not something he could control (KOTOR II).
Vitiate succeeded where every other Sith had failed. He had broken his chains and become free. The price was the loss of everything that made him human.
Thus we could conclude the Sith’ari is never achievable, almost a myth.

Valkorian/Vitiate isn't liked by pretty much any Sith it seems. To be fair, he stopped considering himself one like hundreds of years before anybody realized. He admonishes the Sith on numerous occasions as being pathetic, and almost seemed embarrassed by them and who can really blame him. Guy had dominated the dark side of the force so thoroughly, it was actively acting against him (and failing). While Sidious sought to be the most perfect embodiment of a Sith at all times, it was key to his philosophy and success. While both dark side force users and both unquestionably evil, they were nothing alike.

  • @Audienc4u
    @Audienc4u 2 месяца назад

I'd think Sidius worshiped himself as well.. if he did not yet see himself as above the Dark Side that he sought control over.. in time he would have. The nature of Sidius had him seeing himself above all.. with one rule for himself and other rules for others. The Code of the Sith supports this in its final two lines "Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken."
The more power Sidius obtains, the less the rules apply to him and this would include the Dark Side's hold over him as well. The Dark Side exacts its 'pound of flesh'? Yes, but Sidius intended to get that pound back, with interest.
Just as Sidius betrayed his mortal master, Darth Plagueis, eventually Sidius would have also betrayed the Dark Side once he felt he had enough power. This would not have taken the form of a turn to the light, nothing would draw Sidius down that path. His betrayal would have simply been a shedding of any semblance of control or limitations the Dark Side might have sought to place upon him. For Sidius, it would be "My will, not thine be done".

I do NOT believe that Sidious would sacrifice anything of himself to advance the sith or the dark side
he made sacrifices for power but it was to further himself
if wielding the light side was possible and he could gain more from it than he would right?
I feel like what Sidious disliked about vitiate was that he acknowledged the power of the light
I would compare Vitiate to Kreia in that he viewed the entirety of the force, both light and dark, as a tool
whereas Sidious had to cope with having to make the sacrifice for power

I’d pay up to 15 million dollars for each episode so about 120 million per season for a series that would be about the old republic games. I feel a series like this is exactly something perfect refreshing and totally new to bring Star Wars back around. Also a couple anthology movies rated R about when the first Dark Jedi landed on the Sith home world and conquered them then learned there dark side abilities and turned them into the elite Sith fighting force in those early years. Star Wars needs these kinda projects to bring back the fans pushed away by the shit handling of the sequel trilogy.
