No Audio from PS5 to OBS? THIS FIXED FOR ME!

- Sorry for the quality of the tutorial. As I mentioned in the video, I'm not a tutorial creator of any kind, I just found a fix that I hadn't seen anywhere and wanted to help.

When i hit configure video i get a completely different menu coming up. Does not show me any of those options at all and my OBS is up to date

The part at 1:43 helped me thankfully, seemed changing it to output desktop audio worked, never had any issues w my set up before until I got a PS5 , thankfully watching this helped 🎉🎉🎉🎉- hm , I was actually able to put it back to my original audio settings I had previously 🤔, just hit reset on the PS5, changed my go xlr routing etc , boom bam, fixed 💅🏻
For those using an el garo capture card with chat link cable, I found my issue was that in the el gato 4k capture utility app the bottom right portion of the screen the mic was muted, unmute it and that should fix it
Hey man this worked great thank you, only problem I’m having now is that my audio is my audio and capture card on obs are a bit delayed to my actual ps5 screen, any chance on how to fix that?
Glad you got it working. I am not sure, could be a range of fixes. Try going to advanced properties in Game Capture and changing your audio monitoring to 'monitor and output'. Let me know if that fixes it. Good luck!

Still not working. When I click configure. Video. This completely windows 98 looking menu pops up with saturation brightness and other video settings nothing about. Xbox one or other consoles

Are you also able to hear the ps5 audio from your own headset to your ps5? or can you only hear the ps5 audio, if it's plugged into your computer through obs?
Yes. If you plug your head set into your PC and your audio is set to the correct output then you will hear your game audio in real time.
This was the only video that helped me a lot, turns out switching to xbox one and then back to playstation helped fixed it. No idea why.

This will NOT work for PlayStation 5 I don’t think it’ll work for ps4 either. You need a “Chat Link Cable”. Or you can plug your headset directly into your monitor(if you have one). Then go to your sound settings on PlayStation. Go to the output device and turn it to *HDMI Device(TV). Then go to your microphone settings ON THE PLAYSTATION. select your HEADSET and this should work fine. Do everything in this video EXCEPT plugging your headset into your PC.(This is for PlayStation users who enjoy FPS. I do not know if the xbox settings are the same.) Thanks for the reply and help. However, if you follow the steps you will find it certainly works. Plugging your headset into your PC and then changing the settings to allow audio out of the PC changed the directory so that you can hear your Playstation through your monitor (headset) and your chat can also hear your audio. This video is specifically for PS5 so it definitely works.
that's not how it was worded in the video, but if that works for people cool. I read a few comments, and they had a similar issue that I did. Even when trying to do it YOUR way, there was STILL a delay(lag). If my comments offended you, I could assure you it was Definitely not my intentions. We are all here for help@@dukesden713
Will this work if I buy a usb male to usb c female adapter and plug it into my usb port on my monitor? My headset is Bluetooth through a usb c
If you are able to plug your headset into your PC by any means and you can hear audio then, yes, this tutorial will work @@pricilladubose3907
@@dukesden713 I followed your instructions and I was able to get audio through my headset along with the streams audio however it was coming through on my headset end choppy and seemed like it was going in and out then it stopped working shorty after

Mate what am I missing here. Did what you said and there is a huge delay in sound between what I do on the PS5 and what I hear via OBS.
I'm not too sure why you would be having an audio delay. Maybe try double checking all of your settings to this video again? Let me know if you find a fix. Good luck!

Man I don't have that cog with the 'last step you hadn't seen any one do' but im ps5 to MacOS with OBS 3.0.2 global audio divide -> desktop audio ; is stuck on "disabled"
OBS Studio for Mac currently requires a second program to help it capture desktop audio

@@dukesden713 Thanks man, I got it dude, my tv was redirecting sound to my sound bar and not tv speakers making Elgato capture no audio. I'll leave this comment up in case some might have any questions, I'm an OBS expert now

My audio is not working and I went to click configure video and I got a old school windows looking pop up and there was no option for what you talked about
Well I'm not really sure how to help you out. This is the fix that worked for me. As you can see there are multiple workarounds so there could be other potential reasons for your audio not working. Best of luck!

No. The audio feed is directly running via your PC.

That pop up that appeared with the configure video button I didn't see it at all I had a completely different thing and I couldn't even mess with anything
In the newer version of OBS you can find the same menu by clicking on your game capture in Sources and opening Properties. The tutorial is basically still the same from there. Hope this helps!

This fix worked for me but now I have no headset in my controller to hear the game and talk to teammates
If that's your only problem then you don't necessarily have to plug your headset into your PC. Im assuming you're streaming through OBS? In that case, your viewers should be able to hear your audio whilst you still have a headset plugged in. Just double check you can see the green audio moving through OBS. Hope it helps.

Plug a microphone into your controller. You may have to use two microphones in order for this to work.
i cant hear my mic through obs.. my mic and headphones are seperate and i can hear the game audio but not my mic.
Do you mean to say you can see the levels but cannot hear it playing back to you? or that it is not being read at all by OSB (no green bars, nothing)? If the latter, double check your audio in settings that your main microphone is selected. The last thing I would check is in the advanced audio properties tab you can change the setting to 'monitor' etc. Hope this helps!
You would either need a separate microphone than headset and or tweek your settings around a bit through obs and desktop settings.
the bars on obs aren't even moving. The problem isnt monitoring the preview, its getting the damn audio to be there in the first place
I wasn't getting any audio, either. If you follow my steps there might be a fix along the way. The part that helped was at the end with video settings changing from PS4 to Xbox one. Let me know how you go.
Go to you ps5 sound settings choose HDMI instead of your headphones that should do the trick. @dukes den thank you man. The tutorial helped
in the advance sound settings, choose the sound of your ps5 and chose monitoring only (cut the source). and try all your USB port on your motherboard. use blue USB. not all blue USB are working for me, only one.

okay that was helpful i am getting audio but its too loud tried to add the elgato the control panel and lower the level and lower my headphones its connected to my pc while playing its fine but when i listen to the video i recorded its too loud i cant even hear my voice i am confused its my first time i always record on pc i am new on that consoles capture cards world life used to be simpler
Glad it helped and you have audio. Adjust audio settings directly through OBS

When I change my audio settings to headphones you can choose any output device, in your case speakers. Other than that just follow the steps in the video and it should solve your problem. Let me know how you go

When I check properties for my capture card it only gives me video settings and none of the audio how you changed it. Idk what it could be. Thought anyone?
