Nice Jess! Went out and hit a few 8 iron shots right after watching this video and it feels like things are starting to fall into place. Great explanations and demonstrations re the proper placement of the club head at address and through the back and forward swings. Would love to ask you to show and explain more the part where you put the club head in your right hand and say,”Now watch what happens when I turn my hand,”and then rotate the club head towards the target. Can’t quite follow that, but I get the general idea that the club face should start out closed to the shaft at address and remain essentially in that same position back and forward. Love your generous spirit. And I smile every time when at the end of most of your videos you say, “Can’t hit it better than that!”😊
You got it Matt!!! I appreciate you watching! I do online lessons too. It would be difficult to understand on a you tube video. Sounds like you need more detail. If you want give me a call 561-213-8579 to set it up:)
Thank you Dave! Great to hear it’s Helping! If you need me to take a look I have a new online lesson program:) www.jessfrankgolf.com/virtual-lessons-lp/
Thank you Jess for your excellent way of teaching, explaining with demo as you take your swing from backswing to completion. I have been watching your videos for more than a month now and like your style of teaching. More power to you and thank you from Australia.
Hey Frank, I was this yesterday morning before heading out to my course in Palm Springs. Been struggling to get consistent good contact and good distance. I applied these ( without even going to driving range) and WOW & BOOM! I added 20 yards to every drive and I was over shooting every green with my irons! No leaking right fades which were my trademark, and was landing on every fairway further I have ever been, so iron selection suddenly changed! I have been typically driving 175-200 with driver and suddenly hitting 200-240 ! Feel like I’m playing a new game. Now have to spend time and range and get it ingrained into my swing and who knows where we go! Thank you so much. 👍
Great stuff. Found I was always bowed armed and could never fix follow through. Fixed rotation and early extension, but chicken was always there. Spent two weeks doing small chips keeping elbow pointing to belly. Finally starting to see results. I found changing elbows is like changing grip. You have to get use to it. Getting better.. occausionally old chicken wing returns.. but some days it's gone. Hoping by next year I will have this follow through/flip gone. I only play every month and half or so a game. I get to he range weekly.
These videos are amazing. I was at the ST camp and loved every moment. I look forward to continue getting feedback and coaching from you as my game continues to improve. These videos reinforce what I learned at the camp
This might be what Im missing... thank you sincerely for your quality teaching. I will let you know how its working for me once the season gets going here.
Jess I’ve enjoyed watching your videos. Golf is a never ending learning experience, but I feel I have recognized my blind spot in my swing. I have rolled my wrists either just after impact or during impact. It goes back to when as a youngster I played baseball. It was said that I had a hitch in my swing. I never got the instruction necessary to understand that the wrists naturally roll well after hitting the ball. The weight of the bat forced a rolling of the wrists. Instead of swinging through the ball I was trying to hit the ball. I’ve noticed that every pro golfer doesn’t roll the wrists. That’s why at the end of the follow through on a drive or for most shots the club head ends up pointing towards the people facing the player. Now I can look like Tom Kite on the cover of Sports Illustrated winning the US Open in 1992 at Pebble Beach
I like the idea of "connection"....However, my experience when I keep my left elbow at the sky is, a very closed club face and the inevitable hook...I find that the right elbow to the sky and the left elbow towards the target while maintaining a good connection works much better...Just my 2 cents..
That is outstanding in every way. When you are first informed of these setup keys there is a tendency to not fully digest the importance, so you play with it, and let it slip away. Then, you are right back in your original rut, and you don't know why you're back in your original rut, so you rinse & repeat for a lifetime. Man o man, that setup is life and death for me, and it is the difference between the sun shining or eternal darkness. Thanks Jess, that is gold, pure gold, Hogan eluded to that very thing, and it was a nuance that never took root in my brain; but now, it lives and breathes. I guarantee, most just don't process this one the way they need to.....wow, its huge. Nice, when it finally finds a home. Hee hee....gall dang, it makes the game a walk in the park, or it seems like a walk in the park; which is so much better than the alternative.
When you talk about the face being either on the outside or inside of the shaft I believe you mean in relation to the ball. That for the face to be on the outside of the shaft means that the face is open in relation to the ball. Therefore when the face is on the inside of the shaft then the face is closed in relation to the ball.
Thanks for sharing....do you grip the club first with both hands and then bring the elbows in or have the club in the left hand, bring the right elbow in, turn the forearm and then the right hand grip the club??
@JessFrankGolfAcademy Could you address coming in too steep using S&T, causing fat shots? I think the weight forward part is causing me to come in too steep resulting in the opposite of the intended effect of hitting the ball first. So frustrating!!!
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton Thank you. Will try this correction. Sounds about right-probably not tilting spine to the right on downswing at all or enough.
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton I’ve been thinking about that I but I’m not sure how many students you may have at one given time. I am may be more work than you’re able to give

The pros go trail elbow in and lead elbow out. Is that for the traditional swing method and is this for Stack and tilt method
Trail elbow is under. All depends on what ST recommends based on the player.
DeChambough uses the Moe Norman one plane swing
He uses Golf Machine
Thank you!
You are welcome!
Excellent video ❗❗❗
Thank you sir!
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Good stuff.

Thank you. How do you get good height as well?
That’s actually a Ben Hogan tip. Worked great then, and now too..
Yes sir Bob!!!
Can you provide info on the may camp?
Hey Frank check out the stack and tilt website for more info
I would like to see some slow motion video if possible.

Both! i like both hands.
Are the back of your triceps on top of your chest or are the insides of your biceps against your chest?
Inside of my biceps

Hard to know from your explanation but you need more right side bend on the downswing.
