    No one plays the Blues like Mr Lerch. Awesome feel and expression!

    Curious - not an altered or diminished scale to be heard. Rather refreshing. Those musical fads are beginning to wear thin, I suppose. Didn't realize it until I didn't hear it.

      Both of those sounds are in there but not as “scales” but rather melodies created with those sounds. That’s the thing, you have to make melody. Otherwise it’s just a formula.

    Pure taste by Mr. Tim Lerch, as usual.

    Tim, I am guessing that you could attach guitar strings to a waffle iron, then play magnificent blues on it. In this case, though, the Comins really held up its part of the bargain. Another great job as always.

      The other day I was playing this guitar and I was really hungry so I used it to make waffles. Really a very versatile guitar.

    Very nice presentation. 🎧 have you checked out the GCS-2. From what I’ve heard these GCS model are an excellent value. Thank you, Tim.

    Lovely playing. I would love to be able to take my left hand away from the neck and let the notes just hang there but I wouldn’t be able to find my way back. Coming guitars are fabulous. I’ve got a black one with ivory binding. I call it Duke because it looks as elegant as Mr. Ellington.

    Wow, that guitar looks and sounds great! Great playing, as always! BTW - I've been giving your Chord Dictionary a workout since I got it! Great book. I've been using it less as a lookup, and more as a way of learning groups of related chords. It's already increased my vocabulary substantially. I've got the Chord Phrases, too, and will be diving into that in-depth as well, but there are so many hours in the day :D
    Hey, have you ever played a Benedetto? They are crazy expensive - I'd never be able to afford one - but they look like such beautiful instruments.

    Man, you are so relaxed when you play. The phrases just breath. I watched your mouth while you are fingering. You are singing along with your hands. So cool. So musical.

    Beautiful and tasteful as ever. What pick-ups are in your GCS 1? I own one also i think mine has Kent Armstrongs in it

      This guitar has Bill’s own hand wound pickups.

    • @jjemsnd7
      @jjemsnd7 8 месяцев назад +1

      @TimLerchGuitar I used to have a Bill Comins Concert model amazing instrument. It had a custom pickup that Bill developed with lindy Fralin. It was a full sized floating humbucker. usually full sized HB pickups are too thick to float. They over came that problem by eliminating the underlying magnet. The pickup had two bobbins but they used magnetic slugs like a Fender and it splt really well too and the whole thing was potted in ebony. There wasn't a metal bit on the guitar only wood not even inlays 100% wood

      Yes, this is a slightly different model that Comins produces in small quantities. I’ll do a review of this guitar and have more detail…

    Hi Tim, for those of us in seattle how can we keep up-to-date on your gigs (your calendar is outdated on your website)?

    • @TimLerchGuitar
      @TimLerchGuitar  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah, sorry I suck at keeping the calendar updated. I’ll try harder to keep it current. You can check www.pearldjango.com for my gigs with that band. (my main gig) and I’ll try harder to keep my other gigs posted on timlerch.com.
