Willing to ask why, test things out, defeat and get defeated, rather than simply do what people taught you (or what people have been doing) are very important in practicing martial arts. And you do all of them. Respect

I literally just film it on my not-current-one iPhone and then edit it with free editing software on my six year old laptop😅 That makes me happy though that you like it because it means video and editing have become so much more accessible to everyone, and it doesn’t have to be bad! Cage matches are awesome but we have to show some love for the weapons too right?? Technique, history, etc. No pressure but if you got a degree in Chinese studies you would love the history section of the staff program (written in an academic style). Either way though we’ll have to stay in touch. Train safe!

Combat sports and martial arts are two different things, sometimes they can meet but they are separate. And MA are firstly about weapons. I have a little experience in weapons too, but my lineage lacks of staff training, and that's a shame. If you'd like to stay in touch and exchange ideas about strategies, body mechanics, culture and so on I'd be happy to.
I have been seeking to learn this staff form for a while. I planned to find someone to teach me the next time I return to Taiwan. Now, I don't need to wait for 6 months. Thankful!
