Renzic is AWESOME, i have been watching him for 2 years and and he never ceases to amaze me, i got il2 because of him and it is a blast to play!
Impressive, however even in the best defended cities, over the most important sites, there would not be that level of high altitude defensive fire from German heavy AA weapons.

I wish IL-2 had a ground "bailout" if a survivable crash is made. The ground elements evacuate and clear their emplacements when not killed outright. I've seen the canopy opening thing but would love if there was, for lack of a better term, postscript to forced landings.

@@renderedfrog It does? I know FlighGear but I've never had the thought of Il-2 looking like that. Perhaps the explosions when the planes hit the ground could have a better look, otherwise...
I guess Cliffs of Dover might look closest to what you're saying, it's a slightly older game. Or Il-2 1946, it's an old classic though and every other old 3d game looks like that, the rest look like A-10 Cuba or Tiny Combat Arena to name a recent game with that low poly artstyle. Honestly tho, I've never had a problem with Il-2 graphics. Amateur asset flippers have a sort of disharmony in how their game looks, I can't really say that about the Sturmovik series. Plus, the physics is quite great. Mind you, BeamNG drive is not the standard in gaming, it's the biggest exception, and Il-2 does have better damage physics than 90% of games around. Sorry but... I just really don't understand when people complain about these things.
