After seeing you use and praise the Arquitens in so many videos I'm glad to finally have a breakdown video for it. Also, I've been kinda disappointed, not with the ship, but because I'm pretty new, and every game I've flown it (which is only a few casual games, but still...) I haven't deployed in particularly good spots and so I've never actually had it fire a shot yet. I should probably play more often and try to fix that lol.
2 Arquitens and ISD seanson for taste is my personal favorite fleet right now. No one else out in my area flys Arquitens even after using them time and time again to great success, its a great little ship!
It varies a lot just depending on what I want my list to do, but an example of the kind of list that I like, and have had some strong success with. Points: 400/400 Commander: Darth Vader Assault Objective: Most Wanted Defense Objective: Contested Outpost Navigation Objective: Solar Corona [ flagship ] Imperial I-Class Star Destroyer (110 points) - Darth Vader ( 36 points) - Avenger ( 5 points) - The Grand Inquisitor ( 4 points) - Boarding Troopers ( 3 points) - Quad Battery Turrets ( 5 points) = 163 total ship cost Arquitens-class Light Cruiser (54 points) - Defense Liaison ( 3 points) - Quad Battery Turrets ( 5 points) = 62 total ship cost Arquitens-class Light Cruiser (54 points) - Defense Liaison ( 3 points) - Quad Battery Turrets ( 5 points) = 62 total ship cost Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points) - Hondo Ohnaka ( 2 points) - Comms Net ( 2 points) = 27 total ship cost Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points) - Comms Net ( 2 points) = 25 total ship cost 1 "Howlrunner" ( 16 points) 1 Valen Rudor ( 13 points) 4 TIE Fighter Squadrons ( 32 points) Again you can change upgrades and switch out the gozantis and fighters for different configurations, but this is an example of a list I have used and had success with. It has a strong fighter screen, the Quad Battery turrets set a "speed limit" making it easier to catch ships in the ISD front arch. Defense Liaison lets me spam con fire commands on the Arquitens and then still get the nav command in so it can get out of trouble. Again just really a basic template for a fleet that I feel is very well rounded, I have even run a list like this with Sloan and more ties and it performed externally well.
I share your love of this ship and took a Vader Arq build to regionals. I ran them with Slaved Turrets/Advanced Projectors/Engine Techs. Amazing ship that can almost put out the damage of an ISD2 for half the cost.
I'm glad to see this video - I don't get to play Armada much but this is one of my favourite ship designs. Some constructive criticism though: no more background music please, I found it annoying.
On *ADMIRAL SCREED* ...Just to be sure: You cannot change the die you spent into a crit, it means that you remove one die from your pool and then change another one into a crit, right? _...and btw, you can choose to do that _*_after_*_ you cast all the dice, correct?_
I've thought about using an Arquitens in a support role using the command cruiser with Hand of Justice, Projection Experts, and Redundant Shields and Wulff Yularen, even better if you have the new ISD coming out with the fleet command and power to shields.
Thrawn might be fun with Arquitens with those extra dials. I once concentrated fire with my command Arquitens to get 6 dice into the objective ship. That was onde dead Gladiator.
I'd really like to see Venators with decent broadsides/squad values, could mesh well with Arquitens. Also if not taking Vader, DTT isn't a bad choice, cheaper than EA.
Your convincing me to actually like Arquitens! I am a big fan of Thrawn so I thinking of having him on his Kuat ISD with two Arquitens and two floatillas. Floatillas just to give Thrawn a late turn and, and using the Arquitens for a "Thrawn Pincer" or one of your signature mini congo line down one of the sides. Thrawn's ability will give them a dice boost to wreck from behind while thrawn hits hard in the center. I cant test it out for a while, but hopefully it will be fun.
I have 3 of these, only ship I have 3 of. I almost always run it with Jerjerrod and opponents still take a double take when they think they are blowing by me and I'm suddenly lined up for a shot on their rear and now chasing them down. I'll have to try your Vader version, it just makes these guys really expensive with enhanced armament and Vader.
You say that you need to have 3 damage to use RBD's, but that's incorrect. You can use RBD's to repair 2 or even 1 damage. That's an essential nuance, especially because RBD's can turn the Kitten into a viable flagship. It also synergizes with the contain, since you're rarely going to have to have faceup cards you can't remove.
The mythical Arquitens. I’m not sure if it ever really existed. Can’t find one to save my life.
I run an ISD, two Arquitens, and a Gozanti. I love my Arqs.

Since this ship began with the republic...not a stretch to include in Republic Fleet builds?
I was able to get one and now I'm always on the lookout for more light cruisers.

Whats your build? Im fairly new and would like to see what you have.

Ill have to give it a try then. Or something close to it.
I suck at flying them so much XD

Thank you for you video. If you're choosing between buying a Raider or two or buying your 3rd or fourth Arquinten which would you recommend?
It doesn't help the fact that I can't find any of this expansion anywhere.
Yeah these and the profundity

Thanks for this detailed breakdown! Will have to get another one of these ships!
I still don't have this ship. I want 5 now.
Another great review can't wait for more streams

One of my favorite ships! It allows me (a regular rebel player) to use my gunline tactics when I play the Empire.
Jacob Schmidt Rebel Scumb 😎

I wonder what kind of future ships will mesh well with the Arq... another broadsider would be neat
I think that we would be seeing a re-balance (point increase) to make large cap ships relevant again.

I run 2 of these with a cymoon
I really like this ship and feel it is really underused in my area.
Ive been trying 4 Arquitens and 2 Raiders mostly. Would 5 Arquitens be more effective?
Do you think Centicore is good now with the relay Nerf?

If you use RBD to remove 1 damage I'd wager you just wasted 5 points though.
No wonder these are sold out everywhere. A much better ship than their lackluster performances on screen would suggest.
The light cruiser is back
