One statement Nathan made has me puzzled. He felt it was his duty. Will this be how Elizabeth will see him? An honorable man who feels responsible for her loss and out of duty needs to care for her and LJ. Or will she be able to look past that to the love he professes?

Since both times he’s told her he loves her she’s not told him to forget about her, give up there’s no chance, this to me says all we need to know. In two more episodes, she’s going to fall into his arms and tell him she loves him too!
I'm a guy and I'm rooting for Nathan ! Sure hope she does get over her grief and anger and the infatuation over the saloon owner ! We can Hope, it's Hope Valley isn't it lol!
I think we are seeing a different Nathan now that he isn't burdened with his "secret" any longer. He doesn't seem to be awkward or tongue-tied any more. One thing I was happy to see was it does not seem like Elizabeth blames him for Jack's death. She only seemed interested in why he did not tell her.
This was really great! Thanks 😊 I also wanted to share with you something I noticed during the newest preview. Lucas was watching Nathan and Elizabeth exchange looks, but this time he wasn't holding his "wonderland cup" he was holding his Mail. I think this means he's got "the message!"
This is L we are talking about his character likes to do this all the time doesnt mean he got any message from the looks between her & nathan as he has his own sneaky way of doin things thats why i dont trust the character even though he really does only wants her to be happy i say this cause he does care alot ( as chris mcnally said damn hes a good actor) ....But I dont trust the character one bit as he seems Vry sneaky when he wants something & others always buy it whereas nathan has always had to fight for everything hes got just seems vry unfair in nathans corner she has to love nathan back or whats the point of torturing his heart & soul like this its cruel.

He stated he did go out in person after he finished the show he was working on and read with Erin in person and, long story short, got a call an hour later asking him if he wanted the job. I'd say he nailed the audition!

I also watch the other show that Kevin was talking about, and when he appeared on that, I thought what a good looking guy. He was also a love interest there, but not with the same chemistry in my opinion.
Great analysis - as usual! I really agree with your thoughts on why Nathan is looking down as he's searching for just the right words to express his feelings. I loved the fact that they wrote this scene to be so straight forward and honest. There was no talking in circles or reading between the lines. Nathan spoke totally openly and honestly and Kevin's delivery of it all was incredibly emotional. He and Erin have an undeniable chemistry and I get so excited about a future with them as a couple! @@jamesdaniels8007 Lol! Yes! It's hard not to judge but it's a good challenge too. I think Lucas is a safe place for her- he doesn't push her to do anything she doesn't want or to FACE anything she doesn't want to face. It's different with Nathan-right now (Like Rosemary) he is this mirror of TRUTH- 1. of the truth that Jack is indeed dead 2. of the truth that someone can love her as deeply as Jack did. I really think she is simply hurt and lashing out and that is why Lucas with all his fancy ways keeps her warm-right now. Not saying it would make for a good long-term relationship.

But I definitely agree, and I think the two truths you pointed out is why #TeamLucas wants Elizabeth with Lucas, they too don't want Elizabeth to be hurt again and Nathan represents all the pain Elizabeth has been through. You just have to look past the red surge to see the man underneath.

I thought that this scene was really interesting. Another great scene of Nathan showing how much he doesn't want to hide from her anymore. Not just about what happened with Jack, but the way he feels about her. I picked up on a lot of things that you addressed, but I also thought of something else. It wasn't in the body language or facial expressions, but it was what Nathan said. Love is worth fighting for. Nathan has the same belief as Elizabeth. She expressed that very belief to Lucas when his mother left. I admire Nathan's vulnerability in this scene to show her that he's not afraid of taking the risk of his own heart to try and convince her that he's not going anywhere. I love that she let him come closer to her especially after she wouldn't let him near her after he told her the truth. I believe it may have been a sign of letting him in a little more... to try and understand what he was feeling. Overall, this scene was really good! I enjoyed watching this video and I love your analysis on these scenes. It makes them way more interesting when you break them down.

You're right she did say that to Lucas- and I think that's what shocked her and snapped her out of her stare into the distance. I'm glad you enjoyed this video. AND I agree, letting him walk closer to her really could be a sign that she is slowly letting him in!!
Great one, again! Thanks! In the film industry this is often called a "rhyming scene" or "rhyming shot" - it echos, or repeats previous scenes...which makes them important. Here, Nathan says the exact same words to Elizabeth that she said to Lucas's mother when advising her to go back to her husband. Kinda cool! :)
It reminds me of when she gave Jack the pillow for Christmas and he gave her the wedding rings with the same engravement on them. He told her if that isn't proof that they were meant to be together, he didn't know what was.
His dedication to Elizabeth is admirable, after everything that happened over last season, and this season you can tell that he won't give up until the very end and I don't think that Lucas would do the same thing, an example is at the finale episode in season 7 when they hugged, Lucas just skipped town right after, so from that alone, you can tell that Lucas isn't as devoted to Elizabeth as he lets on.
Elizabeth , that's a very good analysis and coming from a male's perspective on this I totally agree, and in real life , in many cases when a man loves a woman deep in his soul, it's painful but you have her best interest at heart , and if there is another guy in the picture , you will naturally be jealous and hurt seeing her run into another man's arms , but you be a man and you swallow the bitter pill, but to rin off to another place for about two months , that's a sign of emotional immaturity ! Nathan has not had the privileged of enjoying even a slither of quality time, but they try to make it put as a love triangle , Nathan has gotten the raw deal , but he is not giving up on her ! Any woman that is worried as much as she was when she didn't know that he might have been injured or worse , but when she realizes as she turned and he was walking towards her direction , they way she ran into his arms , that is what the heart will manifest ! And at the pond where she was sitting and that moment when she said that I can't , Nathan moved close and grabbed her arm , and that look on her face was " shudder and it's like she was saying to herself Oh n - no he's g- gonna kiss me ! She looked as if she knew she would not be strong enough to resist and she would have melted in his loving arms, so she rode off sad and that was a heart wrenching scene! I could be wrong but I believe the saloon owner senses that she Loved Nathan and it's starting to become more obvious and for someone of his character that his not used to losing , he might eventually give up and allow her to open up her heart to Nathan ! At least that's my take on it. , but I can be wrong !

Yes, I love your analysis of these scenes. Please keep it coming. We are in new territory with Nathan and Elizabeth. I like how direct and honest Nathan was in answering her questions and explaining his feelings. It was perfect. I hope Elizabeth can stop dating Lucas for a minute to process her feelings for Nathan. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just need a decision to be made...it is giving me anxiety.
This was quite an emotional scene! Both of them were highly uncomfortable, but Nathan got said what he wanted her to know. He actually is far more in charge of himself and what he wants to get said now that he’s open up! Before he couldn’t get anything out he wanted to say! Now Elizabeth is the one who’s almost tongue tied, she keeps walking away, but doesn’t ever tell him she doesn’t love him or want him around! With only 3 more episodes, the writers must have packed a lot into them! Elizabeth’s going to have to process rapidly! Curious to see what “does it for her” to make her choice!🥰

I think it'll take quite a bit to melt it. I think he'll have to show her that she can trust him in the most important way. I don't know what that might be, but I think she feels at a loss with him right now and she doesn't know how to process all these new emotions. It'll be interesting to see this all play out. I believe that she loves Nathan deeply but with her emotions going in all directions besides the most wiser one, it's causing her to treat others unkind when things that makes her have to confront reality , she gets angry and snaps , but notice she doesn't do that to the saloon owner and why , because he is a safety blanket and she feels comfort and can momentarily escape from the truth , that which keep a pounding on top of her conscious, she loves Nathan with all of her heart , and denying it only makes things almost impossible ! She told Nathan " you're making this impossible " and when.he said I - I know you feel the same way for me , that was her chance to say no.i don't , I want the saloon.owner not you, so please leave me alone but....what did she do ?.Her jaw dropped when he reached for her arm and got close enough to kiss her and that look on her face and in her eyes , he saw that she was trying to lie to herself and she rode away crying deeply in pain! That look that she had when Nathan had her arm.and gotten close to her , she looked up at him., with a lovers fear " he - he is g- going to l- kiss me , and that fear brought reality to her and her heart broke into.tears ! If she can maybe talk.to the new Pastor maybe he will give her some spiritual.words that will.help.her slowly heal.and embrace the fact that she truly Loves Nathan !
@@eugenecrenshaw808 Yeah. I like that. Both times he has expressed how much he loves her, she had EVERY opportunity to tell him no or leave me alone. But she didn't. Yeah one could argue that she didn't want to hurt him and she's too kind for that. But she is also a grown woman. If she doesn't feel something that someone is supposedly trying to push on her, she'll let them know about it and tell them to stop. She has done nothing of the sort with Nathan. She's just running. Running from her fear of losing him, running from heartbreak that she MIGHT get. Running from her true feelings. Back in season 1, she ran from them too. When Jack told her that if the mounties wanted their soldiers to marry, they would have issued a wife to them. She convinced herself that she cared for that one guy who came to town and when Jack told her he was bad news, she got mad and defensive. Now this is not exactly what's going on, but I think it's close enough. She hiding her true feelings of love for Nathan only to be embraced by a security blanket that is Lucas. I heard something on another TV show that I want to share. Love is not just being with the right someone for all the right reasons. Love is a risk. It means that there are no guarantees. But when the right person comes into your life, you shouldn't hide from what's real and good right in front of you. There will be bad times. There will be good times. As long as you hold onto each other, the risk, the leap of faith, made it all worth it. It doesn't mean that who Nathan is makes things impossible. Who Nathan is makes him worth it.
I think Nathan is actually relieved that he finally was able to tell Elizabeth what happened. Where it goes from here is anyone’s guess. I’m still team Nathan but whatever they do I guess....

Elizabeth does need to get her act together... but I can sympathize with her because she has two men that want her and she wants Nathan but she doesn’t want to go through the pain again! She needs to have an adult conversation with him about everything.... not just storm out when something is said she doesn’t love.
Yes, she does need to stay right there and have that conversation with him. I just think if that happened they would end up kissing and she doesn’t want to cheat on Lucas
Thank you for the analysis. I finally managed to pick up on a few things you pointed out...like when he came over into her personal space and E’s final reaction. After she left, N shut his eyes briefly and exhaled. Was that out of dread for revealing the whole truth, which would drive an even bigger wedge between them, or did it indicate relief that the full weight of his secret had been lifted? I think it was the latter.
Hi! So glad you liked it. Actually, I wouldn't say it was an exhale of relief! If you saw his clenched jaw and try to do it yourself (clench jaw + exhale) you'll notice it is more likely to be his frustration. He probably feels frustrated about a lot: falling for her, betraying Jack, her leaving after he says I love you a SECOND time...

If I can give an idea I think Elizabeth is very surprised at the end when Nathan tells her that love deserves a fight, especially because she herself used those words when she was talking to Lucas about her parents. That's what she said to make Lucas' mother fight for her husband. Suddenly when Nathan says that to her the same words she is surprised because she thinks that they have the same vision of things and especially love. I don't think she's thinking of Rosemary right now because at that moment she doesn't know Nathan and Rosemary have been talking to each other at the library yet. But it's just an idea😉
Yes, agree! After uploading I rewatched her scene with Rosemary and thought...hmmm, maybe she didn’t think that until right then. And she definitely must’ve remembered something, so it makes sense that it was her saying those same words to L! 100% with you!

Lucas keeps trying to take control of E. I didn't like it the week before when L told N be sure he had E n A best interest in mind..L doesn't even have any kids. Then this week when he offers to talk to Nathan. Ugh
I finally convinced my sister to watch WCTH. She only watched a couple episodes of season 8 by herself and wasn't impressed (understandable, the writing this season, for lack of a more polite term, sucks), but she said she wanted to watch s1e1 to have a better idea before she made a decision. After one episode (and already knowing that Jack and Elizabeth get together) she is #TeamNATHAN. She was watching e1 and was like "wow, they really didn't like each other at first", and about the scene of Elizabeth trying to mount a horse, "that look, is that when he fell in love with her"? Safe to say we will continue watching WCTH season 1 together (re-re watching in my case. If someone like my sister can see that Nathan and Elizabeth are meant to be after watching Jack and Elizabeth then it can't just be coincidence. I know it's just one episode, but who among the Hearties didn't believe in Jack and Elizabeth after that first episode?
You could tell they liked each other. They were all gooey eyed until Jack found out he had been sent to protect Elizabeth...weird, why did that not bother her so much?

In the books she was glad when her father would do something as simple as send her a new Bible to replace the one she lost. It's the comfort of knowing someone is watching over you're being looked out for, even when you're trying to strike out on your own.
Love your analysis videos! I stopped watching after season 8 because I was so upset she chose Lucas, but I've come back to the show and am giving it another chance specifically because I heard ahead of season 11 (premiering April 7) that the tide is turning back to Nathan. If you're willing to give the show a shot again, you might have some interesting things to analyze!
At first I thought this scene was the beginning of the end, and then Rosemary ( who is always honest with Elizabeth and usually sees things the same way) gave her thoughts about what Nathan did. What an emotional show! Also, Lucas is being so kind and thoughtful to Elizabeth and Allie and even tries to apologize to Henry. I think maybe he is turning into quite the catch 😉 but it might not be for Elizabeth.
@@kc5527 Fiona is absolutely fabulous , beautiful , strong willed , smart, business minded , loyal., brave and she helps her friends and towns folks ! Hikam is a very smart guy to pursue her but I'm.sensing she should be with someone more " worldly " ! Actually she would be ideal for any of the guys ! She could have her own sit - come ! If Elizabeth doesn't choose Nathan , maybe he and Fiona could start a nice friendship , if Hikam.doesn' t win her ! She ' s everything a guy would want !
I know I am late with this, but I think what will stay with her even more so than “love is worth fighting for”, is when he stood right in front of her and calmly said “when I found myself falling in love with you” and she could see he didn’t regret it and then he moved closer and repeated that he loved her without hesitation. He wasn’t in panic mode like the first time when he had to blurt it out because she was giving him the dear John speech. I’ll say this for Nathan, when he tells her he loves her, he makes sure he tells her twice.
I guess over the course of my school education I have gotten better at analyzing (books, stories, etc.). I was always a people watcher and at one point I remember looking at a lot of body language videos here on YT. So you could start by finding the one where FBI, or secret service professionals analyze people's body language! I'm sure you'll easily find it. It also helps to notice it in other people and yourself (start with obvious things, like crossed arms, crossed legs, raised eyebrows, frowns)- sometimes you will notice you are doing this

I just don't understand why the writers took us on such a roller-coaster ride. Nathan declared he loved her twice and she obviously had feelings of love towards him too. She was just fearful. Then she rejects Nathan and moves on with Lucas. I found that unrealistic. Maybe she rejects Nathan for awhile and just conetrate on raising little Jack until she could admit her feelings of love for Nathan. Not move on with anither guy, Lucas because he is safe. I feel that E & L relationship was nothing but lust, not safe love like the writing team wants hearties to believe, but I guess safe love is what they say it was) Elizabeth had the deep connection and love with Nathan. At least the writers are correcting course in S11 getting Nathan and Elizabeth together as a couple.
I think she will choose Nathan but really would like to see her with Lucas. He makes her smile more and she seems more relaxed and acts secure with him.
She's also more harsh towards others since she's been with him. She may be more secure with him as it pertains to not losing Lucas as she lost jack but he brings out the worst in her.
I think she is just hurting and that's bringing out the "worst" in her- the memory of Jack. But I agree the security she feels with Lucas seems to be holding her back from facing her feelings.

Often times when people are going through traumatic things they act in ways unbecoming and not as they normally would , and wrestling with hurt they will lash out , particularly at those close to them.! If Abigail was there she would be that " Motherly " wisdom.that she needs , and maybe the new Pastor could give her some spiritual words that might penetrate the cold in her and softens the heart and helps her slowly heal ! Don't be surprised if she passionately kisses the saloon owner soon because each time sees him.looking sad or disappointed, she does something to make him feel.that he's still number one .... For right now ! That will make Nathan fans very disappointed but that will be just another " teaser " making you believe that she has made her choice , but something very important will.happen that will.make her see that Nathan is the one she loves and she will.end the safety infatuation ! One statement Nathan made has me puzzled. He felt it was his duty. Will this be how Elizabeth will see him? An honorable man who feels responsible for her loss and out of duty needs to care for her and LJ. Or will she be able to look past that to the love he professes?

I think we are seeing a different Nathan now that he isn't burdened with his "secret" any longer. He doesn't seem to be awkward or tongue-tied any more. One thing I was happy to see was it does not seem like Elizabeth blames him for Jack's death. She only seemed interested in why he did not tell her.

I also wanted to share with you something I noticed during the newest preview. Lucas was watching Nathan and Elizabeth exchange looks, but this time he wasn't holding his "wonderland cup" he was holding his Mail. I think this means he's got "the message!"

He stated he did go out in person after he finished the show he was working on and read with Erin in person and, long story short, got a call an hour later asking him if he wanted the job. I'd say he nailed the audition!

I also watch the other show that Kevin was talking about, and when he appeared on that, I thought what a good looking guy. He was also a love interest there, but not with the same chemistry in my opinion.
Great analysis - as usual! I really agree with your thoughts on why Nathan is looking down as he's searching for just the right words to express his feelings. I loved the fact that they wrote this scene to be so straight forward and honest. There was no talking in circles or reading between the lines. Nathan spoke totally openly and honestly and Kevin's delivery of it all was incredibly emotional. He and Erin have an undeniable chemistry and I get so excited about a future with them as a couple! It's different with Nathan-right now (Like Rosemary) he is this mirror of TRUTH- 1. of the truth that Jack is indeed dead 2. of the truth that someone can love her as deeply as Jack did.
I really think she is simply hurt and lashing out and that is why Lucas with all his fancy ways keeps her warm-right now. Not saying it would make for a good long-term relationship.

I thought that this scene was really interesting. Another great scene of Nathan showing how much he doesn't want to hide from her anymore. Not just about what happened with Jack, but the way he feels about her. I picked up on a lot of things that you addressed, but I also thought of something else. It wasn't in the body language or facial expressions, but it was what Nathan said. Love is worth fighting for. Nathan has the same belief as Elizabeth. She expressed that very belief to Lucas when his mother left. I admire Nathan's vulnerability in this scene to show her that he's not afraid of taking the risk of his own heart to try and convince her that he's not going anywhere. I love that she let him come closer to her especially after she wouldn't let him near her after he told her the truth. I believe it may have been a sign of letting him in a little more... to try and understand what he was feeling. Overall, this scene was really good! I enjoyed watching this video and I love your analysis on these scenes. It makes them way more interesting when you break them down.
Thank you for saying that! Because I can't fit the verbal meaning in when I have to notice all the non-verbal clues. You're right she did say that to Lucas- and I think that's what shocked her and snapped her out of her stare into the distance.

Great one, again! Thanks! In the film industry this is often called a "rhyming scene" or "rhyming shot" - it echos, or repeats previous scenes...which makes them important. Here, Nathan says the exact same words to Elizabeth that she said to Lucas's mother when advising her to go back to her husband. Kinda cool! :)
Yeah. It's no coincidence that Nathan believes in the same thing Elizabeth does. That alone proves that they are meant for each other.
It reminds me of when she gave Jack the pillow for Christmas and he gave her the wedding rings with the same engravement on them. He told her if that isn't proof that they were meant to be together, he didn't know what was.

His dedication to Elizabeth is admirable, after everything that happened over last season, and this season you can tell that he won't give up until the very end and I don't think that Lucas would do the same thing, an example is at the finale episode in season 7 when they hugged, Lucas just skipped town right after, so from that alone, you can tell that Lucas isn't as devoted to Elizabeth as he lets on.
Elizabeth , that's a very good analysis and coming from a male's perspective on this I totally agree, and in real life , in many cases when a man loves a woman deep in his soul, it's painful but you have her best interest at heart , and if there is another guy in the picture , you will naturally be jealous and hurt seeing her run into another man's arms , but you be a man and you swallow the bitter pill, but to rin off to another place for about two months , that's a sign of emotional immaturity ! Nathan has not had the privileged of enjoying even a slither of quality time, but they try to make it put as a love triangle , Nathan has gotten the raw deal , but he is not giving up on her ! Any woman that is worried as much as she was when she didn't know that he might have been injured or worse , but when she realizes as she turned and he was walking towards her direction , they way she ran into his arms , that is what the heart will manifest ! And at the pond where she was sitting and that moment when she said that I can't , Nathan moved close and grabbed her arm , and that look on her face was " shudder and it's like she was saying to herself Oh n - no he's g- gonna kiss me ! She looked as if she knew she would not be strong enough to resist and she would have melted in his loving arms, so she rode off sad and that was a heart wrenching scene! I could be wrong but I believe the saloon owner senses that she Loved Nathan and it's starting to become more obvious and for someone of his character that his not used to losing , he might eventually give up and allow her to open up her heart to Nathan ! At least that's my take on it. , but I can be wrong !

Yes, I love your analysis of these scenes. Please keep it coming. We are in new territory with Nathan and Elizabeth. I like how direct and honest Nathan was in answering her questions and explaining his feelings. It was perfect. I hope Elizabeth can stop dating Lucas for a minute to process her feelings for Nathan. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just need a decision to be made...it is giving me anxiety.

This was quite an emotional scene! Both of them were highly uncomfortable, but Nathan got said what he wanted her to know. He actually is far more in charge of himself and what he wants to get said now that he’s open up! Before he couldn’t get anything out he wanted to say! Now Elizabeth is the one who’s almost tongue tied, she keeps walking away, but doesn’t ever tell him she doesn’t love him or want him around! With only 3 more episodes, the writers must have packed a lot into them! Elizabeth’s going to have to process rapidly! Curious to see what “does it for her” to make her choice!🥰

I believe that she loves Nathan deeply but with her emotions going in all directions besides the most wiser one, it's causing her to treat others unkind when things that makes her have to confront reality , she gets angry and snaps , but notice she doesn't do that to the saloon owner and why , because he is a safety blanket and she feels comfort and can momentarily escape from the truth , that which keep a pounding on top of her conscious, she loves Nathan with all of her heart , and denying it only makes things almost impossible ! She told Nathan " you're making this impossible " and when.he said I - I know you feel the same way for me , that was her chance to say no.i don't , I want the saloon.owner not you, so please leave me alone but....what did she do ?.Her jaw dropped when he reached for her arm and got close enough to kiss her and that look on her face and in her eyes , he saw that she was trying to lie to herself and she rode away crying deeply in pain! That look that she had when Nathan had her arm.and gotten close to her , she looked up at him., with a lovers fear " he - he is g- going to l- kiss me , and that fear brought reality to her and her heart broke into.tears ! If she can maybe talk.to the new Pastor maybe he will give her some spiritual.words that will.help.her slowly heal.and embrace the fact that she truly Loves Nathan !
@@eugenecrenshaw808 Yeah. I like that. Both times he has expressed how much he loves her, she had EVERY opportunity to tell him no or leave me alone. But she didn't. Yeah one could argue that she didn't want to hurt him and she's too kind for that. But she is also a grown woman. If she doesn't feel something that someone is supposedly trying to push on her, she'll let them know about it and tell them to stop. She has done nothing of the sort with Nathan. She's just running. Running from her fear of losing him, running from heartbreak that she MIGHT get. Running from her true feelings. Back in season 1, she ran from them too. When Jack told her that if the mounties wanted their soldiers to marry, they would have issued a wife to them. She convinced herself that she cared for that one guy who came to town and when Jack told her he was bad news, she got mad and defensive. Now this is not exactly what's going on, but I think it's close enough. She hiding her true feelings of love for Nathan only to be embraced by a security blanket that is Lucas.
I heard something on another TV show that I want to share. Love is not just being with the right someone for all the right reasons. Love is a risk. It means that there are no guarantees. But when the right person comes into your life, you shouldn't hide from what's real and good right in front of you. There will be bad times. There will be good times. As long as you hold onto each other, the risk, the leap of faith, made it all worth it. It doesn't mean that who Nathan is makes things impossible. Who Nathan is makes him worth it.
I think Nathan is actually relieved that he finally was able to tell Elizabeth what happened. Where it goes from here is anyone’s guess. I’m still team Nathan but whatever they do I guess....

Thank you for the analysis. I finally managed to pick up on a few things you pointed out...like when he came over into her personal space and E’s final reaction. After she left, N shut his eyes briefly and exhaled. Was that out of dread for revealing the whole truth, which would drive an even bigger wedge between them, or did it indicate relief that the full weight of his secret had been lifted? I think it was the latter.
Hi! So glad you liked it. Actually, I wouldn't say it was an exhale of relief! If you saw his clenched jaw and try to do it yourself (clench jaw + exhale) you'll notice it is more likely to be his frustration.
He probably feels frustrated about a lot: falling for her, betraying Jack, her leaving after he says I love you a SECOND time...
Frustration makes the most sense in that context. I need more practice...

If I can give an idea I think Elizabeth is very surprised at the end when Nathan tells her that love deserves a fight, especially because she herself used those words when she was talking to Lucas about her parents. That's what she said to make Lucas' mother fight for her husband. Suddenly when Nathan says that to her the same words she is surprised because she thinks that they have the same vision of things and especially love. I don't think she's thinking of Rosemary right now because at that moment she doesn't know Nathan and Rosemary have been talking to each other at the library yet. But it's just an idea😉
Yes, agree! After uploading I rewatched her scene with Rosemary and thought...hmmm, maybe she didn’t think that until right then. And she definitely must’ve remembered something, so it makes sense that it was her saying those same words to L! 100% with you!

Lucas keeps trying to take control of E. I didn't like it the week before when L told N be sure he had E n A best interest in mind..L doesn't even have any kids. Then this week when he offers to talk to Nathan. Ugh
I finally convinced my sister to watch WCTH. She only watched a couple episodes of season 8 by herself and wasn't impressed (understandable, the writing this season, for lack of a more polite term, sucks), but she said she wanted to watch s1e1 to have a better idea before she made a decision. After one episode (and already knowing that Jack and Elizabeth get together) she is #TeamNATHAN. She was watching e1 and was like "wow, they really didn't like each other at first", and about the scene of Elizabeth trying to mount a horse, "that look, is that when he fell in love with her"? Safe to say we will continue watching WCTH season 1 together (re-re watching in my case. If someone like my sister can see that Nathan and Elizabeth are meant to be after watching Jack and Elizabeth then it can't just be coincidence. I know it's just one episode, but who among the Hearties didn't believe in Jack and Elizabeth after that first episode?
You could tell they liked each other. They were all gooey eyed until Jack found out he had been sent to protect Elizabeth...weird, why did that not bother her so much?

In the books she was glad when her father would do something as simple as send her a new Bible to replace the one she lost. It's the comfort of knowing someone is watching over you're being looked out for, even when you're trying to strike out on your own.
Love your analysis videos! I stopped watching after season 8 because I was so upset she chose Lucas, but I've come back to the show and am giving it another chance specifically because I heard ahead of season 11 (premiering April 7) that the tide is turning back to Nathan. If you're willing to give the show a shot again, you might have some interesting things to analyze!
At first I thought this scene was the beginning of the end, and then Rosemary ( who is always honest with Elizabeth and usually sees things the same way) gave her thoughts about what Nathan did. What an emotional show! Also, Lucas is being so kind and thoughtful to Elizabeth and Allie and even tries to apologize to Henry. I think maybe he is turning into quite the catch 😉 but it might not be for Elizabeth.

I know I am late with this, but I think what will stay with her even more so than “love is worth fighting for”, is when he stood right in front of her and calmly said “when I found myself falling in love with you” and she could see he didn’t regret it and then he moved closer and repeated that he loved her without hesitation. He wasn’t in panic mode like the first time when he had to blurt it out because she was giving him the dear John speech. I’ll say this for Nathan, when he tells her he loves her, he makes sure he tells her twice.
Out of curiosity, how/where did you learn scene analysis? I am not very good at reading between the lines and would love to learn this skill :)
I guess over the course of my school education I have gotten better at analyzing (books, stories, etc.). I was always a people watcher and at one point I remember looking at a lot of body language videos here on YT. So you could start by finding the one where FBI, or secret service professionals analyze people's body language! I'm sure you'll easily find it.
It also helps to notice it in other people and yourself (start with obvious things, like crossed arms, crossed legs, raised eyebrows, frowns)- sometimes you will notice you are doing this

I just don't understand why the writers took us on such a roller-coaster ride. Nathan declared he loved her twice and she obviously had feelings of love towards him too. She was just fearful. Then she rejects Nathan and moves on with Lucas. I found that unrealistic. Maybe she rejects Nathan for awhile and just conetrate on raising little Jack until she could admit her feelings of love for Nathan. Not move on with anither guy, Lucas because he is safe. I feel that E & L relationship was nothing but lust, not safe love like the writing team wants hearties to believe, but I guess safe love is what they say it was) Elizabeth had the deep connection and love with Nathan. At least the writers are correcting course in S11 getting Nathan and Elizabeth together as a couple.
I am still pulling for Nathan, but Lucy’s is compelling too

I think she will choose Nathan but really would like to see her with Lucas. He makes her smile more and she seems more relaxed and acts secure with him.
She's also more harsh towards others since she's been with him. She may be more secure with him as it pertains to not losing Lucas as she lost jack but he brings out the worst in her.
I think she is just hurting and that's bringing out the "worst" in her- the memory of Jack.
But I agree the security she feels with Lucas seems to be holding her back from facing her feelings.

@@CA-iv6kc It appears as if when she is around the saloon owner , she feels safe from.facing her fears ! Often times when people are going through traumatic things they act in ways unbecoming and not as they normally would , and wrestling with hurt they will lash out , particularly at those close to them.! If Abigail was there she would be that " Motherly " wisdom.that she needs , and maybe the new Pastor could give her some spiritual words that might penetrate the cold in her and softens the heart and helps her slowly heal ! Don't be surprised if she passionately kisses the saloon owner soon because each time sees him.looking sad or disappointed, she does something to make him feel.that he's still number one ....
For right now ! That will make Nathan fans very disappointed but that will be just another " teaser " making you believe that she has made her choice , but something very important will.happen that will.make her see that Nathan is the one she loves and she will.end the safety infatuation ! It's coming !
