I love this song and video! I also find it telling when he compliments her on her instincts and she says she’s following them in everything…that was huge! Her “instincts” led her to Lucas instead of “listening to her heart” which would have led her to Nathan. But I did enjoy watching her come to realize that for herself. Cant wait for season 11 😁
1:22-1:33 what happened to that Nathan, the Nathan that didn't let her run and hide from her feelings? He made her face her emotions and she benefited from it, moving to a place where she began to open her heart again.

I hope we can all understand that Nathan has been battling his own demons and struggles, such as survivors guilt. Both Elizabeth and he have been journeying to a mental and emotional place where they can be totally honest without Big Jack being at the center and getting to know each other, not as Jack's widow or the man Jack replaced, but as Nathan and Elizabeth, two souls that belong together.
Totally agree with everyone has been saying Nathan Elizabeth hopefully that's how it ends up he does really looking forward to season 9 thank you for the beautiful music

I remember the first time I saw the hug. All I could see was a shaken man who knew there was only one person in the town who understood how he felt and what he'd been through. Fast forward to seeing her wait outside the infirmary and the body language of Nathan only makes that original thought so much the stronger. Without realising it, Elizabeth was exactly who Nathan needed. Ironically, we've seen this season that Nathan is what she needs as well. A beautiful journey and story. edit...if only that was how it ended up 😔😓
Yea but it didn't turn out the way we expected and thats why i don't understand why they did a complete flip flop it doesnt make sense i dont think they did Nathan right I'm so disappointed how it turned out.
Beautiful analysis and so very true. Unfortunately, the writers/execs completely did a 180 degree turn and killed a story that will never be. Lucas simply does not bring the magic that Nathan is able to bring. Nathan makes Elizabeth come alive with hope, passion (whether expressed anger or desire for Nathan) and faith in love. But we will never see that now. Brian Bird and company managed to ruin it. Poor storytelling is all I see on the horizon and a soon to be cancelled WCTH. Pride goes before the fall.
I said that I wasn't going to talk about how the triangle ended and let it go and I haven't watched since season 8 ending but it seems like everytime I log into you tube there pops up videos of Elizabeth and Lucas or a video showing scenes with her and Nathan and that's kind of strange and somewhat uncaring towards the fans that were pulling for her to choose Nathan ! In my opinion they made a decision that had shock value and basked in the light of superficiality! Im.not going to get caught up in that again because I don't watch anymore but I still hope that the viewers that does that they enjoy the show ! But I agree with everything that you have expressed!

Exatamente isso. Era evidente o sentimento dela por Nathan. Por quê tanto dilema desnecessário? Lucas tinha a ver com a vida q ela deixou para trás, q poderia ter vivido, cheia de glamour. Mas optou por Hoppe Valeey. A simplicidade e a paz. O servir e educar. Nathan resumiu isso tudo.

I did add a public oppinion and it disappeared i didnt say anything derespectful I'm just disappointed that Elizibeth chose Lucas when all along it seemed like Nathan was the one she would pick i like the show the new family im glad they brouht someone in thats a preacher yheres alot going onthis season i wishthere would be a wy that Nathan could be her choice they really were good together and thats what really matters thank you for letting me give my oppinion
Whoever the writer is or was they did not make us believe Lucas and Elizabeth belong together; if you watch the series ever since Nathan came to town she was kind of curious about him, she wanted to know everything, she goes far as seeking him out and when she found out he has a niece that's when her curiosity really kicks in to high gear; when Allie's dad came to town she wanted to know who was that man anyone who watches the series knows that Elizabeth is and will always be in love with Nathan that is my opinion.
There are so many poignant statements in this beautiful video. Elizabeth told Nathan to stop shuting her out. So what is doing to Nathan and Allie right now! What is going on with her statement to Nathan "I never meant to hurt anyone" dud! She is not only hurting Nathan and Allie, but she is also hurtimg Lucas because she is not being honest with them and herself. As for following her instincts, I think she has lost those somewhere along the way. The music and video are both telling and beautiful well done. Thank you

Yes I hope she finds her way- she is clearly confused which you can’t blame her for because she is drawn to both of them and I don’t know if she even knows how she feels.
Sigh. I could say I'm Team Lucas but I can also clearly see there are all these unspoken feelings, long glances with Nathan. Yet there's more lighting up, happiness and open communication with Lucas. I guess the creators didn't expect to create such a strong triangle. Two men who show their love in very different ways and bring in different things for the Elizabeth character. I could see Hallmark picking Nathan for Elizabeth. What makes me wonder is this - moving forward if the show is to go on for several seasons, how would the the Nathan- Elizabeth connection look without all the angst /slow burn that hooks us in. In a movie, this works perfectly as it ends when the couple gets together. Also narratively would we want to see every mountie adventure tinged with Elizabeth's anxiety. In Lucas- Elizabeth I see limitless possibilities where the plot could take you anywhere . I hope the show only grows in strength after the choice is made.
@@gilbertanne88 yeah i see where you are coming from - and Nathan and Elizabeth are an ideal movie couple with the slow burn style but i think the writers could come up with interesting stories for Nathan and Elizabeth if Hallmark picks Nathan. But i 100% agree that whoever they pick they need to make it strong and compelling. #TeamWCTH

I have not posted anything in the past, although I do follow WCTH and read the comments of others. I had forgotten about some of these scenes but this video is wonderful. It portrays so eloquently the unspoken love the characters have for each other by their eyes, facial expressions, and in their conversation. I realize this is just a series with actors effectively portraying what the writers have written but this could really happen in real life. The actors and actresses are portraying their parts very well. Thank you for this show which is one of the few family-oriented programs available to watch these days. Nathan and Elizabeth have always been my choice from the beginning but I respect other's viewpoints. This one brought tears to my eyes. Well done, Hallmark.
In watching this again, when Elizabeth told Nathan to.stop shutting her out, I couldn't help but think of how she shut him out of 8 episodes in season 8. Don't want to ever see that again.
I was thinking exactly the same thing! Little did Elizabeth know that Nathan was battling losing Jack just like she was. So hoping that they decide to both follow their instincts and have the courage to love each other like they've always wanted to, this time without fear in the way.

I LOVED this video! Elizabeth's instincts got her off track for awhile but she is headed in the right direction now. Lucas got the overnight trip, the candlelight dinners and picnics, but Nathan is going to get the kiss and the girl. It's gonna happen! Team Nathan all the way!

She wanted the hands she held to be Lucas, but it was Nathan; you could see that the moment she held Nathan's hands she felt safe and comfortable.

@Nancy Ross If you mean the one before she hugs Nathan (which was Season 7 season finale), good question. I have never seen that one. But I have a couple of observations-The girl in the left corner has what looks like purple hair which would not be in sync with the time period, so maybe a “set” photograph? Also, whoever Elizabeth is hugging, if is supposed to be a Mountie, he is not in full uniform. He doesn’t have his belt and , correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t think the Mountie uniform has that flap in the back??
