I saw Ray Wylie Hubbard at the Shed. It's a great place. I even opened for him. Ok it was to the early arrivers, .....the real early arrivers....the day before and the only one there was the security guard who threw me out of the venue.
its that thin wild mercury for bob dylan its a drunken poets dream for hayes both represent same thing just years apart and different title yes hayes will and is one of my generations great songwriters im 37 yrs old btw to show generation refered to like the best song writers they walk a thin line of genius and insanity hayes fits right in
Another piece of art ruined by censorship. Wonder if Hayes likes the idea????????? What a waste of space and time. A hitch in my playlist, really stuck in my craw!
Listened to the first song on video again, turned volume way up because my hearing really is bad after more than 50 years of playing live music. My conclusion is that they don"t do a thing for me and Hayes Carll does a mediocre imitation of classic music. AS far as being a troll you may be right. But how does it really make you feel to stoop to my level?@@huskins99
Wow, what a performance...never heard HC before. I am in awe. We live a sheltered life up here in the frozen canadian wasteland
True songwriting written by a man who can seriously throw his heart way past his sleeve.

Somewhere there's a county song in that story , lol
It has been my Pleasure ❣️🤗❣️
That first song Bob Dylan would be proud. Reminded me of Bob's style of rambling poetry when he too was young.

One of my top 3 live performers. The other two are Steve Earle and James McMurtry. Thanks for the video!!
That's great company. Hope you can add Ray Wylie to the list!
WOW...I just found out about Hayes...great music. I haven't heard this kind of music for along time.
I absolutely LOVE seeing the notes below from those just finding Hayes Carll. Good Stuff eh?
Got hooked on HC about a year ago and he is definitely my favorite now. Hide Me and Long Way Home are the best!
I sure do miss Bonnie Parker the girl who use to play with him in concert plus she was a good looking woman
Hayes was great in "I Love You Man"
Got the first three hc albums need to get the rest first I've heard this tune...
This and It's a shame are probably my two favorites but maybe not. That is a really hard call.
Now I know what those beat poets smelled like.
We're all adults here. Why is this video censored?
This show was edited for National TV/PBS standards
Yeehaw bad ass
Yeah the censoring is kinda stupid....

you kicked ass
so what's up
i'm your friend
I thought Hippies idealized freedom? what happened here?
Hays looks tired there.
Fuck censoring this song about lots more real issues than bad words.
Sloppy band, poor imitation of really good classic stuff, can"t understand a word of his lyrics.
