0:00 - 9:23 This is the part you all came here for. ....okay, okay. The crescendo begins at 1:30. The fact is, this is one of the few Monster Hunter themes that are unequivocally awesome, from start to finish.
The original theme and this theme set out to accomplish very different tasks, and I think they both nail what they’re going for- old world themes have this very one-on-one feel to them, with glavy it feels very much like a fencing match, but in world the theme is much more atmospheric. The hunts are a spectacle, it outlines the dynamics of each fight, complimenting you as much as the monster, and it is perfectly on part with the original in this case. However, there is one way that the ice borne glavenus theme beats the original, and it’s with that sweet sweet swell at 1:28
This theme exoresses the speed, strength, aggression, and confidence of the glavenus so beautifully. I think the original version sounds more upbeat and bombastic, while the Iceborne arrangement gives an edge of darkness and desperation to it. Both are fantastic IMO!
Man, this brings back memories of my first monster hunter game, monster hunter generations. I was so glad when I saw the glavenus teaser it in one of the iceborne trailers.
Glavenus is definitely an example of a monster that on paper didn’t make sense for world, but the fact that they did makes it so cool. I crazy generations monster put in the realism of world is fantastic.
Yet another GREAT melody video:) Nice work as always Dravonista!!;) Cant help but think this theme is pretty underwhelming in World especially compared to his old theme which people already called underwhelming to begin with when compared to the rest of the Fated 4 but at least with that theme I can enjoy it in its own right because of how up beat and action movie like it sounded, but this one just makes me feel like something integral or important i don't know, something is missing. I personally am struggling to like it as much as I enjoy the others. I think when making this they had already told the composer about the existence of Acidic Glavenus so they tried to make it sound like, give of rotten vale vibes or make people feel like they are a fighting a monster that belongs in the rotten vale but in the process took away the feeling of "Ah yes! This is a FIRE monster which I am indeed fighting" to achieve that kind of feeling.:/
@Espinas Quite the opposite. These two fights are supposed to be similar but different. MHXX has a dreadful atmosphere of a monster without mercy. A horror legend for the people of Bherna, that needed to be removed. In world he is a known Monster, the fear somewhat taken away. And now he comes back with the respect and awe that Rathalos or Zinogre have for the people of the New World. The little reference to the Bherna theme serving as a reminder of its history with the hunters of the hunter guild. The theme reflects that in being completely orchesteral and no longer a metal rock With more and more heavy orchesteral drums with hit down on the attack notes that symbolise the tail attacks of Glavenus
Agreed. This one feels sluggish. It is like listening to the original while underwater. You can hear the recognisable parts, but it is just lacking in certain areas.... much like the fight itself. For the life of me I can't figure out why they have his throat and tail apply fire at the same time. It takes a lot of unpredictability out of the fight.

i didnt think glavenus' mount theme was that good until i listened to it with headphones,i can really hear the "thump" in it now
Those are some great transitions. Keep it up.
I think putting the combat themes with the mount and chase themes is the actual full theme.
Funnily enough Glavenus doesn't have a chase theme. One of the VERY few who doesn't have one.
Glavenus doesn't chase you, he always fights you XD
If hellblade is back wanted theme remix just like raging brachydios
Ye... feels like combination nof the 3 phases if not just the normal and mount phases feels like the intended theme here.
damn, iceborne glavenus's mount theme gives me GU vibes, Why wasnt this his normal theme.
Can you do a medley of Stars at Our Backs into the Iceborne main theme?
I still brefer the old one glavenus is my 2nd faiforite monster

For me the drop of the generations version felt lackluster and this 1 didn't
With all the new instruments put in gave the drop more oomph
