SubanAllah. Allah is great! I came here by chance. I was not getting the answer I wanted and by chance I got it here with no inclination that this would answer my confusion caused moments ago after watching a talk from Musa Centrino. He said we shouldn’t call ourselves salaf and more Al Kitaab as per the Quran because not all the salaf were rightly guided and even some where shia deviants etc. So it caused me confusion and now I saw this, which has made it a lot clearer Alhamdulilah. For the record I could have misquoted, but the narrative is still the same
lol , salaf means sahaba which are all guided and praised in the quran and the one who follow them like allah said in the Quran :' nd the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct'
also the salaf ,sunni , jama'a all come in narrations like
Muhammad said, I heard Alī bin Shaqīq saying, I heard Abd Allah bin al-Mubārak saying in front of the people:
‘Abandon the Ḥadīth of Amr bin Thābit for indeed he would curse the Salaf [i.e., the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them]’.

Shaykh Ul-Islam Muhammed ibn Abdul-Wahab mentioned in his Book Kashf ash-Shubuhaat that 1 laymen of Ahlu Sunnah defeats 1000 people of the Ulama of the Mushrikuun.
Once a Laymen came from Najd to Madina and he saw some sufis worshipping the graves. Then he asked why you seek help from them when they are dead? Then the sufi shaykh brought up a Shubha and recited the ayah: وَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَمۡوَٰتَۢاۚ بَلۡ أَحۡيَآءٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ يُرۡزَقُونَ
(Muhsin Khan and Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali)
Think not of those who are killed in the Way of Allah as dead. Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, and they have provision.
-Sure Āl ʿImrān, Vers 169
Then the laymen said to him: they themselve get provision from their Lord they cant give you anything. So lets ask /make dua to the one (Allah) who provides for them and for us.

He said that Prophet's physical body is intact in the grave. The worms cannot degrade it or anything like that. There is no degeration of his physical body in the grave.
And the Prophets and martyrs are alive in their grave in the world of Barzaq. They are not alive in this life or world.

He doesn't refute innovation, that's shamsi's point. He speaks generally to please eveyone and has no princible. On top of that, who even recommends him from the people of knowledge that he can spread the religion? No1.

this is out of topic but i’m very desperate so i hope i can get answers. since one year i’ve been afflicted with ocd and also i suffer from insomnia. aside from that and that’s why i’m writing this, i have frequent bad dreams after fajr prayer mostly. i read all the protecting suwar, i read ayat al kursi, the last two ayat of surah baqarah make dua, istighfar etc. i play surah baqarah at home and i don’t listen to music. does anyone know an authentic ruqiyah i can do on myself? even though i’m trying my best to not listen to these whispers and i acknowledged that shaytan only knows on my door and if i respond then that’s my fault and that he has no power over me but i need to find peace only in my sleep. i’m a student and i cannot miss school always because i’ve not slept at night. please someone help me for the sake of Allah. may Allah bless you all and protect you from all evil and harm.

I’ve seen twitter posts of mufti menk and May Allah forgive me if I’m wrong but all I see him keep saying ‘the All mighty’ he doesn’t even mention Allah’s name therefore it’s sweettalk which appeals to anyone who believes in an almighty so it can appeal to a Christian, Jew etc
Mohamad A Rahman not really he’s supposed to be a mufti when asked about sects he said I dunno any of these sects clearly it’s he’s hiding the truth when called to it or he actually doesn’t know which is not possible for a person of his status. Soothesayer speakers who don’t call to tawhid and clarify fundamentals which could lead you to the fire like shirk bid’ah false aqeedah negating Quran and sunnah and also not calling to the saved sect surely are aiding to misguidance. Anyone can go round saying don’t be upset look to the almighty anyone can say drinking is bad, we’re talking about the first call, the main principle tawhid negating the falsehood which these so called top speakers are not doing. People who clarify the truth ur calling sly but those who hide the truth just so u can hear sweet talk oh wow u literally backing him, no wonder dajjal will reel up the ones with weak iman.

I was telling a brother that mawlid is bidah...ive clarified to him from sunnah and the quran , the guy told me its bidah hasanah and he would continue doing it becAuse its a good thing ,someone help me becasue i told the brother your being stubborn and holding onto what ur community do and ur forefathers. He cant prove mawlid from sunnah or quran , he would never answer these questions. So brothers did i do the right thing ?

Just because someones dawah isnt as detailed as yours it doesnt mean hes dodgy. Someone out there might be giving dawah in more detail than shamsi so does that mean shamsi is dodgy?
he said sometimes you can start in general but eventually, you have to go in detail, which mufti doesn't do in his dawah.
It's sufficient for us that NO major Scholar of this time recognises the 'mufti-ship' of this menk, let alone his scholarship! He is a deobandi, not a person of the Sunnah. Shamsi explains his affair much better. Refer to it.

After he went to Madinah University he then went and studied at a deobandi University. How is that person upon the sunnah?
Also he has a scholar who has refuted him and none that have praised him.

Why call yourself salifiyah ,, Allah does not refer to us as such . All Muslims should follow the way of the prophet (saw) .
Salafi refers to the sunnah of the prophet (saw) and the next 3 generations of the sahaba

That exactly what Salafiyyah is. The way of the prophet and the way the salaf as Salih understood it.
