From all the review I have seen so far, I think you’re the only one who actually has been using the phone for any extended period, great review.
Thanks for the review and your support!
Seems like a new channel.... Hope you get successful.... Keep doing the work. ✌️
Very informative video, different perspective man! Well done!!
Thank you so much! Trying to show more of the real world performance.
Seems no matter the phone these days, i hear similar issues. Overheating, or getting hot or warm. I'm wondering if it's the high refresh rate. All phones get warm during heavy use. This is why I would never pay over 500 for a phone. Even the higher end phones. I usually wait until they're a year old, even 2. Then search for a new or open box. There's no cell phone worth 900 or more. Not these days. Too much new tech out there for way less.
You have a point. It really depends on how much you value your phone and what you use it for though.
Very well-done video. I appreciate this video. I wanted to check the common complaints and this is a very objective evaluation of your experience. I appreciate that.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your support 🫡🤝🏾
Great video. I have been using my pixel 7 pro for several months now and luckily I have not had all this issues. Maybe I am not a heavy user but my experience has been pleasing so far. The only problem I’ve had is battery life that is pretty much less than my 14 pro max.
The Pixel experience seems to be pretty split, but I'm glad you're having a good one and thanks again for supporting the channel!
can you do more reviews ? Iam excited for youre Google pixel 8 review and more ! Keep going👍👍
I’ll keep making reviews! Thanks for your support!
New sub. Good video! Im deciding on this or the Pixel Fold
Thanks for the sub!!! The Pixel Fold has a similar Tensor G2 chip and I'd personally go towards the Z Fold 5 (if you're set on a foldable) for the 8 Gen 2 and better battery life. But keep in mind the cover screen won't be as wide and not everyone likes OneUI.
Best of luck!
@@johnstech7 yeah I'm on the z fold 3 and the front screen is awful lol
Lol makes sense!
Definitely some strange bugs. I've had the 7 pro from release, no overheating messages and I do much the same such as mounting my device on the dash and use it for navigation.
The recent apps bug I've seen when I used nova launcher. I swapped back to pixel launcher and it went away so odd it stuck around for you.
Know it's extreme but I'd maybe suggest a factory reset to resolve the issues you're seeing.
Overall solid review and shame you've had so many issues.
Thanks for your support! I really wanted to like this phone but I'm on the S23 Ultra now. I'll try the next Pixel that comes out though.
Coukd you compare the 7 pro to the 8 pro for those on the fence uograding?
I don't have the 8 Pro but the chip doesn't seem that much better looking at the reviews already out there!
Hi, nice video. I was really excited to buy a Pixel 7 Pro but now your video has made me weary of doing it.
Keep on making great videos. :)
Thanks for supporting the channel! Hopefully you can find a phone that works better for your use case!
Hi Bro
i need suggestion on which one to buy Pixel 7 Pro or Pixel 8 ?
In india both are same price(year end offer time)
Pixel 8, for sure. I heard they’re offering 7 years of updates now. I’d rather have a smaller phone with longer support than a larger screen and more zoom camera wise.
I can see this guy becoming really successful in the near future 💯
I don't see nothing. My don't lose 10% battery over night . Don't overeating until now. I don't know ..
Signal here I have no problem . Very fast . 5G und WiFi .
I just thinking it's a hater! Apple fan alert!
I'm glad your experience on the Pixel 7 is good! It's still a great phone, just not for me.
Great video BRO
Thank you!
Thank you! Appreciate the support!!
i m planning to buy pixel 7 pro in nov, is it still good to buy now? btw my priority is camera and i m no i phone lover.
I’d say you’re good to buy a Pixel 7 Pro if you’re just a light smart phone user and don’t live in a warm climate.
hey, pixel 7/7 Pro or Iphone 13?@@johnstech7

I’d steer you towards the iPhone 13. I like the Pixel but the experience is a hit or miss for it.
Brother, great review. I'm a Pixel user and like the "vanilla" Android experience. I really don't want/need all the things other Android makers call "enhancements." That said, my next phone is NOT going to be a Pixel. The overheating issue really bugs me, especially in the summer. I'm looking at Samsung or Motorola. I may go with Motorola for the more "vanilla" Android experience but Samsung has the Always On Display. But the bottom line, as much as I like vanilla Android, the shortcomings of the Pixel devices are driving me back to Moto or Samsung.
Thank you sir! I'm not too up to date on Motorola's offerings anymore since they were bought by Lenovo a few years back (still have my 2013 Moto X). Hopefully you have better luck with them but honestly you might be better off getting a Samsung device because they "just work" even with all of the bloated software.
@@johnstech7 Yes, I have come to that same conclusion. The big difference for me was Samsung offering Always on Display (AOD) that Motorola does not. That's the only feature I really don't want to lose when moving away from Pixel (along with NFC). So it looks like Samsung is my next device.
I got it thinking cause its a simple phone battery would be great.. no glitchy mess going on or overheating.. but shacking my head. It cost to much to deal with all that. I wish i would of waited and got my Sony Xperia iv instead.. when i seen it for 750.oo i should of jumped on it . I wasnt sure if it was us version or not so i jumped on the Google pixel 7pro. Its bad.. unless they can seen updates to tighten up these problems.
Well, you live and you learn! Hopefully the Pixel phones get better in the future but for now I'm stuck on the Samsung devices.
@@johnstech7 that's what's life all about.. I'm go head pay this off with Verizon and get the Sony cause what I want.. I'm go head get the Xperia V if the price drop on Black Friday
I might do some research on that phone as well, not sure how long Sony will support the phone with software and security updates though.
@@johnstech7 I think it's 2 or 3 yrs.. when I get it Im holding on to it.. regardless.. lol
hey! great content for a new channel but it'd be amazing if you were a little more enthusiastic, i'd add more life to your videos! keep getting better buddy!
Thanks! I'll try to work on this more!
Is it worth trading my 2.5 year old 80% battery health iphone 11 and pay 192 USD to get pixel 7..?
I would say no. The iPhone would be more stable and in theory get longer support than the Pixel..
@@johnstech7 Thanks bro, Sticking to iphone 11
Giggidy
Hy I'm thinking of pixel 7 pro should I buy ? Good video ❤
Only for the right price! The overheating and modem problems are the biggest drawbacks for me.
I'd personally steer towards a Galaxy or maybe even a Nothing phone if it makes sense. Thanks again for supporting the channel!
@@johnstech7 ok thank you 😁
@@mysticmahabharatif you want good video go for iphone.
I noticed your Fedora desktop.
Yep! Hoping to do a video on it soon!
@@johnstech7 I use Kubuntu and Pop!os. Both Ubuntu based. Sort of want to move towards Debian or some arch based os. But as long as Canonical behaves itself there's no rush.
Yep! Not everyone is a fan of the snap packages on the desktop, but they do work really well in the server environment.
I run Fedora on the desktop and Debian on my XPS 13 Plus for the reliability. Just not fully ready for Arch/Manjaro or even NixOS. I'll be posting a review on Debian soon!
About the Pixel 7 pro. I have both sims in mine. For one reason only. Well for two actually. Only the Pixel and iPhone handle visual Voicemail well with two sims. But the killer reason for using the Pixel over the S23U. Is spam detection and call screening. Otherwise I'd definitely give the win to the s23u followed by the iPhone (if you like iOS).
Ahh, good point! I haven't tested Dual SIM in the Pixel, but yes the call screening feature can't be beat on the Pixel. I'm hoping Samsung creates their own version that automatically answers without me manually activating it.
3:26 this is the reason i sold my Pixel 6 Pro..
In the middle of the day and in the middle of an unknown city i was visiting, it decided to forcefully turn on the dark mode while i was driving... With the curved screen reflection and the forced dark mode i couldn't see anything and i almost missed my exit on the highway. This was back in march when the outside temperature was around 20-25C.
This happened two more times before i had enough and decided to sell the phone. I'm a bit disappointed to hear that the Pixel 7 Pro also has this problem as well....
Yep, that'll do it! Hopefully they fix it eventually.
you need a date.
😂😂😂 thanks
You nailed it buddy without presentation..all talk...otherwise, you are an iphone geek
S23 battery or pixel 7pro battery?
S23 Ultra battery longer. It’ll get through a day and a half for me at least
what of Pixel 8
I have not tested the Pixel 8 personally. But the chipset doesn’t seem to be that different.
you dont trust phone cameras?!
Phone cameras are generally fine, but they can't hold a candle to a full frame mirrorless camera. I take wedding photos so my standard is a lot higher than most.
Sticking to iPhone and ecosystem
Don't blame you for wanting the safe option!
@@johnstech7 mmmmhmm I need boring but it works, stable & security. Can’t gamble with that. Awesome content
Google Smh. 🤦♂now they have a google fold out and people still supporting them. now some people having issues with the fold some people likes it and some don't like the pixel 7 pro. I have the pixel 7 pro I do have 2 issues with it nothing major but I tell you this I will never buy a pixel again. the phone is nice yes but it does has little minor issues. even the google watch has a battery draining issue.
It's always the small issues that stack up and eventually ruin the phone. Thanks for watching!
@@johnstech7Exactly.
Auto brightness, fingerprint sensor and battery life shite, can’t even Screen share to TV without a chrome Cast, I switched to S23 Ultra, what a difference. Pixel 7 Pro Google features like call screen are good but it’s not enough to make you keep the phone.
Avoid I say……
Yep! Good points here! I personally think the FP sensor worked well especially with screen protectors but the S23U sensor doesn't "light up" the screen since it is ultrasonic.
Omitting miracast (universal screen share) is really weird decision on Google's end but like you said, it's all about buying a Chromecast. Thanks again for supporting the channel!
P 7 PRO OR S23 ?
S23 for sure.
You'll have a smoother experience overall because of the 8 Gen 2, less bugs and more OS updates if you care about that. Only downside is the questionable One UI and some don't like the oversaturated camera.
The phone is pretty bad. I ran it for 8 months. Definitely not a fan. The S23 Ultra is the best for sure!
Happy I'm not the only one. Hopefully Google gets their act together soon!
I'd rather buy a OnePlus Nord N30 5G/CE 3 Lite. Pixels are low tier recycled Samsung phones with repurposed old Exynos chips.
Can you post your sources here thay pixels are recycled samsung phones i will read it or stop making fake stories
Is OnePlus made by Oppo?
@@marksouthwell4490 OnePlus is a subsidiary of Oppo under BBK. Google hasn't admitted to being a Samsung subsidiary even though Pixels are basically Exynos powered "Stock Android/ Pixel Ui" Samsung phones.
Starting to look like it. Don't they share the same Android skin?
That's a beast of a phone for it being entry level. I love my Nord.
