    IN-LINE ERGONOMIC DESIGN
Unlike other Surface Conditioning Tools on the market with an offset design the Eastwood Contour SCT has an ergonomic in-line design. The in-line design prevents torque load and keeps the drum turning so you can keep stripping the rust, paint and body filler without adding too much heat into the metal.
A RUGGED TOOL THAT WILL LAST FOR YEARS
The Eastwood CONTOUR SCT® in manufactured with an all steel gear design for maximum torque and long life. This tool is built to last with an industrial style gear drive rather than a belt like you see on lesser quality tools.
    VERSATILE WITH MANY DRUM OPTIONS
But there’s even more to this tool. If you need to remove paint, rust or body filler, attach the expander wheel with sandpaper or the abrasive drum, and quickly get your panels down to bare metal. In fact, the tool is even great for sanding wood and preparing your deck for fresh stain or paint.

Excellent! This is the kind of product information that makes more sense that the one I saw previously regarding the drums. Seeing them in actual use, helps. Can't wait to get started removing old paint and layers of bondo on my hotrod.

Abrasive blasting is the best way to remove mill scale. It is, unfortunately, not easily accomplished at home on things like 10’ sticks of steel. The next best choice I have found is rapid strip discs on an angle grinder. The discs have a short life on most grinders. The solution is a variable speed angle grinder. I have a 5” Metabo variable speed. Slowing down the speed greatly extends the life of the rapid strip disc, while still doing a great job of removing mill scale. Don’t use the rapid strip disc on sharp edges (kills it quickly). Use a knotted brush on the sharp edges.
